- Description: Cynthia, who was legally blind and partially deaf, was the assistant manager at the Popeye’s restaurant where Hurst worked. Hurst taped her hands and mouth, before attacking her with a box cutter. He cut her more than 60 times, then slit her throat, before dumping her body in the restaurant’s freezer and fleeing with Cynthia’s wallet, along with the money in the store’s safe.
