Obtain Soulbound Familiar
Prereq: Knowledge (arcana) 4 ranks, effective binder level 3rd
You can obtain a familiar in much the same manner as a sorcerer or wizard. As with a sorcerer or wizard, obtaining a familiar takes 24 hours and uses up magic materials worth 100 gp. Your familiar abilities are the same as those of a sorcerer or wizard of your effective binder level, except as described here.
You do not gain the ability to share spells with your familiar, nor for your familiar to deliver your touch spells. Instead, you gain the ability to share pacts with your familiar. As long as it's within range of your empathic link, the familiiar gains the benefits of any passive abilities granted by your current pacts. This would include such things as bonuses to skills and continuous magical effects, but not anything that requires an action (even a free action) to use. For example, if you bound Naberius, your familiar could benefit from the Faster Ability Healing, Naberius's Skills, and Silver Tongue abilities, but could not use Disguise Self or Persuasive Words.
Additionally, you can share the effects of granted powers requiring an action to activate just as a spellcaster shares spells with a normal familiar, including the option to use powers that normally only affect yourself on your familiar instead as a touch-range effect. Other than the fact that it deals with supernatural abilities rather than spells, this aspect of the share pacts ability functions exactly like a normal familiar's ability to share spells.
When sharing a pact with your familiar, your familiar also shows that vestige's sign (inasmuch as the familiar's anatomy allows), though it may suppress the sign if you also have the ability to do so. If you have a bad pact with a vestige, your familiar is also subject to that vestige's influence just as you are.
