  1. i everyone, as I noticed recently, quite a few users are complaining about trust factor issues and I decided to provide today a complete guide on how to get a good trust factor. I will use all my existing knowledge from my 6+ years playing the game and ~3 years of cheating. I will detail below all existing methods to improve your trust, explain them, and rate them depending on how efficient I believe they are. Don’t hesitate to like this post and post a reply for questions and/or clarifications.
  2.
  3. But first, what really is trust factor. It’s a system used to rank people based on their behavior, not only in game, but in steam in general. Keep in mind that when queuing for a match, CS:GO will try to find opponents with the same trust factor as the player with the lowest on of your group. I will only list methods for already prime accounts, as I believe it’s really all what’s matter.
  4.
  5. Note that I am not associated with any of the organizations or people I will be referring to in this thread, and I’m not responsible for any of your actions if you do something wrong.
  6.
  7. Here is a list of all known method to increase your trust:
  8.
  9. 1. Add a phone number and enable mobile steam guard on your account (10/10).
  10.
  11. This is a MUST do. Adding a phone number to your account and enabling mobile authenticator greatly enhances trust factor. As I personally don’t recommend associating multiple accounts to the same phone number, if your phone number is already linked to an existing account and/or a VAC-banned account, you should use Steam Desktop Authenticator (SDA, an open-source software that enables you to use mobile auth on your desktop) and a virtual phone number provider such a 5sim or smsPVA. This method is very cheap (a few cents per phone number) and is really the first step on increasing your trust. You can find a tutorial on how to use SDA here.
  12.
  13.
  14. 2. Increasing your steam level (9/10).
  15.
  16. Increasing your steam level is proven to improve your trust factor. You can throw a few euros into it when you need, it’s cheap and works to a certain extent (i.e., will be less effective if you are already “high” level). The easy way is to use steamlevels.com (a bit more expensive) or to exchange cards for keys with one of the bots listed here (hint: buy tf2 keys on websites like Skinbaron, Bitskins or Dmarket, it’s cheaper and tf2 keys don’t have any trade cooldown).
  17.
  18.
  19. 3. Play the game (8/10).
  20.
  21. Without being reported obviously. While earning XP and not getting reported, you trust factor should go up fast. Try to play casual or wargames without injecting or on a very closet config. Moreover, earning service medals greatly enhances trust factor, making it go back to green almost instantly, so if you are red trust but close to level 40, just go for it ;).
  22.
  23. Also, stop injencting other cheats. I've seen people complaining about red trust factor issues after injecting but I can assure you that it is not coming from Novoline.
  24.
  25.
  26. 4. Spending money in game (8/10).
  27.
  28. Spending money in game is proven to have great effect on your trust. Try purchasing keys directly from the game menu (not on the community market) or follow this tutorial by Steeve for a more detail method (personally tested and approved on my main account).
  29.
  30.
  31. 5. Play with people with high trust (7/10).
  32.
  33. A good way to increase your trust is to play with people that have old/high tier accounts with great trust factor. Please note that there are non-negligible differences between green trust and really high green trust factor. Being reported a few times here and there doesn’t necessarily make your trust go yellow or red, but you get queued against more cheater. Stop playing with dirty cheaters on their 1$ account with horrible trust: it fucks your trust too.
  34.
  35.
  36. 6. Spending money on steam (6/10).
  37.
  38. Buying games and DLC in the steam store have a positive effect on your trust, however it is still less efficient than spending money directly in game. The second positive point is that it can makes your account less sus if you have many games in your library, thus possibly reducing the amounts of report. Buying skins on the steam market or on other platforms have no effect whatsoever on your trust factor.
  39.
  40.
  41. 7. Improving your steam profile (6/10).
  42.
  43. Improving your steam profile has been said to improve your trust. A lot of people say so but I believe this method isn’t 100% reliable, therefore I only gave it a 6/10. Here are some tips on how to improve your steam profile:
  44.
  45. -Make your profile public.
  46.
  47. -Remove vac-banned/game-banned friends from your playlist.
  48.
  49. -Add friends with good trust, old accounts.
  50.
  51. -Boost your profile comments or even better get some comments from real peoples by exchanging comments.
  52.
  53. You can find a lot of players willing to exchange comments or add anyone to their friend list in this group.
  54.
  55.
  56. 8. Complete overwatch cases (6/10).
  57.
  58. Completing overwatch casing not only enhances your trust, it also gives you XP bonuses which by extension increase your trust even more. However this task can be boring and time consuming, when compared to its effectiveness. You can download an open-source script solving your overwatch cases automatically here (thank you to @0xEren).
  59.
  60.
  61. 9. Be proactive in the community (6/10)
  62.
  63. Pretty time consuming too, but doing things like posting on steam discussions, reporting spams and stupid comments on steam forums can improve your trust.
  64.
  65.
  66. 10. Not playing for a long time (5/10).
  67.
  68. Sometime, the answer to your problems is just to let time pass. I have an account that went from red to green after not logging in for 1 month while I was on vacation. I rated it 5/10 because of the time that methods take, even though it is pretty reliable.
  69.
  70.
  71. 11. Derank (5/10)
  72.
  73. As I and some other players believe that ranking up too fast decreases your trust factor, deranking (losing games on purpose) can be a good option, however it is very time consuming thus the 5/10. You can find people to derank with on some deranking steam groups.
  74.
  75.
  76. 12. Boosting your hours (3/10).
  77.
  78. Contrary to what people generally believe, I have never noticed any trust factor improvements after boosting hours, even after a long time. The only good side that I see to this method is that it makes your profile more “legit”, especially if you don’t boost only CS:GO. You can find programs to boost your in-game hours all over internet, google is your friend. Moreover, actually playing other games can increase your trust.
  79.
  80.
  81. 13. Get CS:GO commends (1/10).
  82.
  83. This method just doesn’t work, getting commends from friends may increase trust but it is too little to notice and boosting them looks cool, but it doesn’t do anything besides making your account looks super sus.
