fem vs deku guy

as requested i'll focus more on critiquing deku guy's responses than fem's, i'd probably end up doing this anyway because it's less likely fem would say something objectionable. i'll probably just mark down where something stood out to me in that way

Fem R1

* mislinked the venom scan
* good job covering bases with a low-end estimate of teenage girl lifting
* i think the "they consider themselves virtually indestructible" link is wrong

lays out a bunch of reasons why deku cannot avoid getting grabbed and a bunch of reasons why getting grabbed kills the deku, all of these look good

Deku Guy R1

* send people flying
 * at the scale of this tier, this is an irrelevant amount of force.
* implied to be able to hurt
 * don't use such weak phrasing, and lead with stronger feats. right now the comparison is between "effortlessly smash a boulder" and "could probably hurt [scaling]"
* gran torino
 * linking torino's striking when you're scaling to his durability is cringe. there is some correlation, otherwise he'd hurt himself to some degree, but it's obviously different from being able to take that hit to the body and keep fighting.
* deku's 100% punches blow apart overhaul's kaiju form
 * ok but who is overhaul and why do i care that deku's 100% punches can blow him apart
 * also this feat is mislinked
* kicking is not itself a style
* at least the feats look fine
* kick multiple tons into the sky easily with 100%
* suit doubles striking impacts on targets
* shockwaves
 * ok
* survive being cratered into metal
 * again don't phrase this so weakly, from what i'm seeing it's a huge crater in what is presumably solid metal and he is mostly frustrated as opposed to injured or in any danger of dying.
* stone
 * again linking such weak phrasing as "survives being cratered into . . . stone" hurts your argument. deku is not merely surviving being cratered into stone, he is taking the hit and immediately returning with his own.
* explosions from bakugo that dwarf buildings
 * the visual size of an explosion doesn't necessarily indicate its power reliably, just link a bakugo feat to scale this to that has some collateral, i'm pretty sure they exist.
 * further, explosions are usually poor durability feats because force is transferred extremely inefficiently over the surface area of the human body in relation to the shockwave, which is omnidirectional and therefore exponentially loses energy the further from the center it goes
* as durable as the attacks he outputs
 * this is a good point in favor of deku being durable to strikes
* fight with broken limbs
* blackwhip
 * in this matchup i would pretend this does not exist because the lifting disparity is so great. if deku blackwhips edward, deku fuckin dies
* there is no other way for edward to win than to grab deku
 * normally this would be fine, ostensibly restricting win conditions from your opponent, but generally you don't want to highlight literally your opponent's argued gameplan as the way his pick beats yours, he just spent his first response telling you this is edward's M.O. and you essentially said "ah yes but did you consider the only way edward can win is the way you said he would try to win"
* fem acknowledges the bullet timing
 * sort of a misrepresentation when you don't dispute (here) the crux of the argument he's making, that it isn't 1) large motions in that time-frame or 2) repeated over the course of a fight
* monologue while toga falls from a cliff, then catches her
 * couple things. falling is slow, and we see deku in motion while his monologue occurs; it isn't happening after the full monologue.
* stain intercepted in the air
 * again falling is slow, but especially here when stain is so high up.
* ida scaling
 * actually pretty good use of speed scaling
* edward's mind-reading has no use against someone faster
 * you didn't actually compare deku and edward's speeds at all, you just linked the feats as evidence of what deku is capable of and then conclusorily stated their superiority to edward's feats. you skipped a step.
 * even if deku were factually faster you didn't give any reason at all that edward's mind-reading, which allows him to predict deku's movements and attack patterns, wouldn't still be useful against deku.
* simply dont get grabbed
 * gigabrain
* subpar speed
 * we are not looking at the same feats lol
* edward is not that durable to striking
 * did you miss the scan where they said "chucking a small boulder at a vampire so hard that it breaks would be an annoyance"? you actually do have to engage with the scans presented in order to counter them. they are not usually ruled out merely by your posting of other feats
* tank round can't destroy a metal wall
 * a HEAT round like the one you linked is not a block of metal launched at mach fuck, it's a high explosive with a specific purpose, that being penetration. it would make complete sense that it isn't transferring its energy so inefficiently as to shatter the wall as opposed to punching a hole in it.
 * fem linked scaling to a sabot round, not a HEAT round.
* big metal crater + frustration
 * represent it this way every time
* hit edward til he can't fight
 * edward's healing is different from overhaul's in a way that seems pretty obvious such that comparison between the two probably doesn't work in my eyes
* all these hits will have this much power
 * this repeated use of 100% is being facilitated by a third party, is it not
* deku will sacrifice parts of his body to destroy an enemy
 * ok
* summaries
 * didn't compare speeds
 * didn't compare strength feats to dura or vice versa
 * did not counter mind reading/prediction almost at all

* deku guy concedes piercing durability and lifting
* blunt force feats don't really matter
* bullet timing breakdown
* edward replicates deku's posited feats easily all the time repeatedly
* the bar to fight edward is repeated fight actions in 10ms time-frames

Deku Guy R2

* assuming deku is equal to edward physically
 * you didnt prove this at all and saying it like this makes you sound disconnected from reality
* 3tf is 5x a punch
 * what is this comparison, fem repeatedly linked edward ripping the extremities, limbs, and heads off of people comparable to him in durability, including by biting them off
* quick hits instead of charging attacks
 * being capable of making small movements is not the same as the output of small and large movements being equivalent
* deku made his own fighting style, comma, can edward throw a punch whatsoever
 * you might not have been able to see this when you wrote the sentence but this actually encapsulates the fight kind of. the way edward fights does not necessitate any striking whatsoever, something fem has stressed repeatedly to contest the relevance of deku's durability.
* against people stronger than him he feels pain
 * this is grappling unless i'm misreading it, you still haven't done any comparison between deku's striking and edward's durability
 * even if it were exactly comparable there's a huge gulf between "painful" and "structurally debilitating" in the way necessary to impede edward
* break steel therefore something that feels like steel to someone who treats rock like hard cheese is fine
 * someone who can do relatively similar to what deku does thinks edward's flesh feels like steel. this is markedly superior to merely feeling like steel from the frame of reference of a human. a feat of breaking steel does not actually compare favorably with the statements about edward's flesh.

 * buddy. naw. if you dont know what type of gun it is just say the bullet is moving at transonic speeds (~343m/s). you're generally fine in that case unless the bullet used is a .45ACP which is slower tmk

 * ok

* impact equal to or superior to direct hits
 * i think this might be a physically impossible phenomenon just by virtue of 1) the muscles involved 2) the movements involved 3) the relative effort of both 1 and 2 and 4) the fact that the scans don't really say or show this.
 * wrt 4 you have to explain or build this idea out a bit for it to actually evidence your claim.
* "how would deku know [X]"
 * edward reads his mind or smells the boots
* it is not possible to grab someone if they are striking you

Edward wins and it is not close. Deku guy put out very few favorable points of comparison for Deku's stats because he made very few direct comparisons of feats. Fem, meanwhile, repeatedly links Deku's feats as cruxes of the debate and nails Deku to a cross with them. I have been given very few reasons in this debate to believe Deku could land a hit on Edward one time without dying.
