  1. [21:24] It was dark...
  2. Silent...
  3. Adrift... Somewhere, at least, as far as he could tell.
  4.
  5. Was this death? The surroundings felt as though they were dulled by the aquatic element. In fact, it probably was...
  6. Was he feeling... Hands along his body? Tiny hands...
  7. Skittling along his torso... his... Something wasn't right...
  8.
  9. How were hands carrying him within his arms? They'd have to reach through the shoulder. Yet, the sensation persisted... Through the other shoulder as well.
  10.
  11. A subtle urge to arise from his resting position offered... No response from his legs. It felt so light, as though nothing at all...
  12. Why was that? The very same sensation betrayed the existence of them, for they carried beneath him where legs were supposed to end, and the torso would begin.
  13.
  14. "My arms..."
  15. He couldn't feel them...
  16.
  17. "My... Legs..."
  18. They were beyond numb...
  19.
  20. "My... Body..." The burns still ebbed and irked at him, despite the soothing pulses of water passing by his body. It was all a realization for him. He was...
  21.
  22. "Alive... I'm... Alive?"
  23. Vision was coming to... And all through the overbearing darkness, was blue.
  24. Underwater... still covered in remnants of the bomb's destructive power...
  25.
  26. // Flashforward several months later //
  27.
  28. Small imps still scour the inner manners of the Black Rose caverns in secret...
  29.
  30. Within the wall, the undying Terminus, transmogrified into a wall of meat moss tethered to the earthen walls. Their head remained unchanged... But their arms and legs were gone... Merely tendrils protruded from the walls abroad.
  31.
  32. It was huge! Spanning the entire wall... Once a towering eighteen foot creature, subjected to the explosive ordinance that went off in Abendrot…
  33. Now, here...
  34.
  35. Was this... Thing... Asleep?
  36. Hibernating...
  37. (Terminus)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [21:35] There's the sound of footsteps pattering on damp stone. Canary dived into the cave where the low entrance lies.
  41.
  42. Before the seal, a dark frame doth halt. The air, as the mist hath grown from her aura, may give forth a thaw.
  43.
  44. She sits at the bourn and feeds ravenously.
  45.
  46. ...restless. The garbage belets at the entrance.
  47.
  48. It is not the mere malice, but the hate itself gives off a feeling.
  49.
  50. Abrupt after a closer look, she turns heel and runs back to where she came. Her departure is swift and silent.
  51. (Canary)
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53. [21:41] The sound of footsteps... It almost felt like yet another detail in the elaborate dream he suffered through. Constantly plagued with flickers of the past...
  54.
  55. Was it simply a--… Silence...
  56. There was a disturbance in the atmosphere.
  57. Spatial Mastery allowed such a being to feel her presence, but it offered no outwardly reaction.
  58.
  59. They sought to pursue, and although imps did look upon her from the shadows, they merely cowered.
  60.
  61. A voice reached out to her, piercing into her mind, a simple plea.
  62.
  63. "Wait. I bear... A gift..."
  64.
  65. Was this thing truly awake?
  66. Some of the flesh moss coating the walls ebbed and shifted ever so slightly, revealing at the casting of light to be tendrils.
  67. (Terminus)
  68. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69.
  70. [22:15] Tendrils eventually trail to the entrance to find... The woman had already fled. Whispers ushered from the shadows themselves, runic glyphs summoned from the depths of one's mind to project upon the entrance, barring further entry.
  71.
  72. "Pity..."
  73.
  74. He was... Awake...
  75. What had occurred during his slumber? An eye sifted over... Drawing curiosity...
  76. Yet another opened... Maws parted for a sigh, but it was not upon Terminus' face.
  77.
  78. Alas, breaks in his vision led to him understanding more than he ever thought he'd know. Eyes laid their vision upon more, and more eyes... Tendrils, in the place of hands... But so many more tendrils spanned the caverns.
  79.
  80. Mouths moved agape, as though to speak before he would... As though to catch a breath in his stead... Every ebb and flow from this bubonic mass wrought circulation. It allowed for each and every single individual imp to be isolated to him, both with visuals... And sensory perception.
  81.
  82. "I... I... How long... Have I been out..."
  83. A body typically left to spoil without food would die and rot, if not for demonic physiology... Terminus was a malleable being -- adaptable. The physical form could contort and change should the environment demand of it.
  84.
  85. "This is..."
  86.
  87. He knew this cave...
  88. This would be where he rested now...
  89. Forced to recount what brought him here:
  90.
  91. Left behind by his kin...
  92. Succumbed to the vileness of humanity...
  93. Offered pity and mercy by one of his greatest enemies...
  94.
  95. "Agony."
  96.
  97. His body was ruined... His mind, tortured... Tormented even now.
  98. What emotion made the most sense here...
  99. Now...
  100.
  101. Was Hate.
  102.
  103.
  104. (Terminus)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
