Probably the first section of the poem where I was so disinterested and lackadaisical. It was filled with the same hackneyed metaphors Iqbal had already expl@#&(*^oited to the limit, and it wasn't anything new. I can't be bothered to write a short summary. The only thing I found funny was that he likens the Poet to a person with a fish-body and a human-body who lives in the ocean, entices ship pilots, and drowns them. I was immediately reminded of a scene in Ice Age. Sid the Sloth (I love him—he resembles my younger brother in silly looks and goofy actions), Manny the Mammoth and Diego the Sabertooth encounter sirens and almost fall prey to them. وای قومی کز اجل گیرد برات
شاعرش وا بوسد از ذوق حیات

خوش نماید زشت را آئینه اش
در جگر صد نشتر از نوشینه اش

بوسه ی او تازگی از گل برد
ذوق پرواز از دل بلبل برد

سست اعصاب تو از افیون او
زندگانی قیمت مضمون او

می رباید ذوق رعنائی ز سرو
جره شاهین از دم سردش تذرو

ماهی و از سینه تا سر آدم است
چون بنات آشیان اندر یم است

از نوا بر ناخدا افسون زند
کشتیش در قعر دریا افکند
