  1. "Ah, Miss Aran?" The receptionist asked rhetorically, looking up at the imposing and unamused bounty hunter, clad in her form-fitting zero suit and looking very out of place in the ordinary office building. "Our CEO has been waiting for you, please take the elevator to your left. We're looking forward to working with you!"
  2.
  3. Samus wordlessly left the receptionist, who was giving her the usual look of an adoring fan. Whoever had called her out here, if they were as suspcious as she expected then those on the ground level probably weren't in on it. Or if they were, they were good at hiding it. Samus entered the elevator, once again wondering if she should have even indulged the summons she had received. She had been recuperating after a routine mission when she had received a very mysterious transmission through borderline illegal back channels, privately requesting her services and saying that they could only explain more in person. It wasn't the first time that Samus had received such a request, but this one was particularly unusual considering the source. She had decided to follow up on it, figuring that she could simply report them to the Federation if they were using it unlawfully and were trying to get one over her. Right now, Samus only had one question:
  4.
  5. Why a fashion agency?
  6.
  7. The elevator reached the top floor, Samus walking straight ahead into the CEO's office. Various marketing materials and framed pictures of photoshoots lined the wall, or rather screens representing them did. The use of such electronics instead of physical print was common, but Samus felt like she'd go crazy if she had to put up with the strange high-pitched whining they seemed to be making all day. The CEO was waiting calmly in her chair behind her desk, a smartly dressed woman in glasses with her hair done up in a bun, and a rather heaving busom that seemed to strain at the buttons of her blouse. Samus vaguely remembered something about the company's CEO being a former model of her own, which explained her beauty. But that wasn't really important right now.
  8.
  9. "And what does the CEO of Aphrodite, one of the galaxy's finest fashion agencies want with me?" Samus asked, cutting straight to the point before the cool-faced woman had a chance to talk. There was a certain threatening aura to the seemingly ordinary woman, and Samus didn't like it. "I hope you have a good reason for contacting me, because if I had reported you to the Federation for using those channels your company would have been ruined by now."
  10.
  11. "What are you talking about, Miss Aran?" The woman said smoothly, Samus getting a similar worrying vibe in the back of her head similar to staring down the barrels of a dozen criminal guns when she looked at her. "You were the one who reached out to us!"
  12.
  13. "I certainly hope you're not being serious." Samus almost laughed, getting ready to leave right now and contact the local law enforcement. She didn't want to spend a minute longer here than she needed to, and this annoying electronic whine seemed to be getting louder by the second.
  14.
  15. "You seem to be confused, Miss Aran." The woman said once more, and the various photoshoots on the monitors seemed to flicker almost imperceptably.
  16.
  17. "I... did?" Samus said, her eyes starting to go slightly unfocused. It was getting a little hard to concentrate. Had she contacted them? She couldn't really remember.
  18.
  19. "You did, Miss Aran." She repeated again.
  20.
  21. "I guess I did." Samus said, her eyes glazing over and going blank as the whining reached a fever pitch. She was right, she clearly remembered going out of her way to privately contact Aphrodite. "Why did I contact you, again?"
  22.
  23. "You said that you wanted to work for us as a model." The CEO said authoritively, as Samus' mouth began to hang open, the bounty hunter starting to look more like she was sleepwalking than anything. "You wanted to make sure that it was private and nobody found out."
  24.
  25. "That's right, I did." Samus confirmed. The screens had completely abandoned their ordinary footage, now playing strange flickering lights and patterns that Samus couldn't take her eyes off of.
  26.
  27. "You said that you were getting bored of simply bounty hunting, and you had always wanted to become a model. It's been one of your deepest, oldest wishes. You feel that it's a waste that you aren't devoting yourself to being a model for our agency." The CEO said clearly and almost smugly.
  28.
  29. She was right, Samus realised. Bounty hunting day in, day out was becoming a real drag. She had such a nice body, and she knew she was beautiful, simply born to be a model. She couldn't go a minute longer being a mere bounty hunter, and this agency seemed perfect for the first step in her new life!
  30.
  31. "Therefore, you came in contact with us, and entrust us completely with your new career."
  32.
  33. Samus slowly nodded, and the whining suddenly ceased. The patterns were gone, back to various shots of models and their expensive clothes. Samus blinked a few times, wondering if she had zoned out. She hoped she hadn't, it would be a bad first impression to make on her first day on the job!
  34.
  35. "So!" Samus said, suddenly clear-headed again and enthusiastic. "When do I get started?"
  36.
  37. "Just as soon as you sign your contract." The CEO said with a smile, gesturing towards a lengthy document that Samus signed without a second thought.
  38.
  39. "It's a pleasure to work with you, Miss Aran." The CEO said, finally standing up and shaking Samus' hand. "You can call me Miss Aphrodite, I'll be your manager from now on, although you may be assigned sub-managers depending on your assignment."
  40.
  41. "It's a pleasure." Samus warmly responded. "So, when do I start?"
  42.
  43. Miss Aphrodite smiled, and told Samus...
  44.
  45. 1:
  46. Samus' first job was merely to wear the company's brands, and spend more time in public rather than holing herself up in her ship, and let her celebrity do the work for her. However, the agency wanted her to put her bounty hunting career on the backburner to spend more time advertising their products.
  47. 2:
  48. Samus' first job was merely to wear the company's brands, and spend more time in public rather than holing herself up in her ship, and let her celebrity do the work for her. However, the agency wanted her to put her bounty hunting career on the backburner to spend more time advertising their products, and what they wanted her to wear was uncharacteristically girly for her.
  49. 3: Samus' first job was modelling what appeared to be fetish-wear.
  50. 4: Samus was assigned to be a plus-size model for the company's less successful lines. When Samus pointed out that her body was ill-suited for the job, she was told that they had wanted to do a series of her progressively gaining weight.
  51. 5: Samus was given another assignment.
