  1. Alexithymiaa: -Adam stood out back/in the side yard with the barbecue that definitely exists. The hood was open and he had a couple of burgers, a steak, and a couple of pieces of chicken on there, manning it like a pro because everyone thinks barbecuing is easy except me. And he was definitely not lighting anything on fire at all. He grabbed his bowl of sauce and his brush, coating the chicken a couple of times before flipping them.-
  2. Tsaaq: She pulled into the driveway at a slow crawl. After turning off the vehicle she climbed out and looked around, her head tipped upward from the aroma of the barbecue. She walked around the house and hopped over the bed of sunflowers to get into the backyard. Her sandals skid against the grass and she almost fell. "What are you doing?" She called out with a small laugh.
  3. Tsaaq: ((I mean I can add a barbecue thing lol.))
  4. Alexithymiaa: (I couldnt figure out where it would be)
  5. Alexithymiaa: -He looked up from his perfect grilling work to smile at Hayley, waving her over with the basting brush in his hand. "Grilling. I hope you're hungry because I made more than I realized I did. What do you want, a burger, steak, or chicken?"-
  6. Tsaaq: ((So much space!))
  7. Tsaaq: "All of it I guess." She shrugged with a smirk. She strode closer to the grill and looked over the food. "Where's the plates and stuff?" She asked as she whipped around.
  8. Alexithymiaa: "Well...." He trailed off, glancing around his little set up. "Okay, I didn't grab those yet, but to be fair the food isn't ready yet." He said with a laugh, setting his brush down into the sauce bowl aand grabbing the spatula to flip both burgers. "Does it look good?"-
  9. Tsaaq: She nodded her head. "It's making my tummy rumble. I don't know if you can hear it out here with the loud chorus of nature." She smirked. She went to lean on one of the trees. "I can run inside and grab some plates when everything is ready?" She offered.
  10. Alexithymiaa: "I think that would be a very good idea." He pressed the burgers down into the grids of the grill, listening to them sizzle. "Does this add to the chorus of nature?"-
  11. Tsaaq: "No!" She laughed again. "You're doing manly human things." Hayley answered and puffed out her cheeks and as pretended to flex. "Grill stuff doesn't count as nature stuff until bears can grill their salmon."
  12. Alexithymiaa: "Bears are pretty smart. I wouldn't put it past them to evolve there sooner rather than later." He grabbed for the tongs and flipped his steak, giving it a little poke to check the tenderness. "The steak is done if you want to grab some plates. And probably some forks too... I forgot those."-
  13. Tsaaq: She rose and eyebrow at Adam. "Like the bears in the Charmin commercials." She turned on her heel and tried to manuver herself over the bushes. "Okay I'll be right back." She said hurriedly, her foot catching on one of the branches of a bush. She staggered on one foot and ran/limped to the kitchen. "Forks and plates!" She yelled as she went to a drawer to grab the utensils the scampered around for some plates. She didn't close the drawer when she left the kitchen and went back outside. She stepped over the flowers again cause it was easier. "Mission possible."
  14. Alexithymiaa: "Sort of like the Charmin commericials, sure." He said with a shrug, taking the plates from her and moving the steak onto one of them so he could begin cutting it in half to divide between the two of them. "Did you hear that apparently Brad is throwing a big party on the beach tomorrow for Independance Day?"-
  15. Tsaaq: "Oh." Hayley chewed her lower lip with a disquiet look. "No, not really. I surprisingly don't talk to Brad that much." She answered. "Why? You're thinking of going or whatever?" Hayley asked.
  16. Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I thought it might be fun to spend the day at the beach. I guess they're going to do a cook out and people are probably going to play beach games and that sort of thing. I really like beach volleyball and I never get a chance to play. It sounds fun. DO you want to go?" He asked her, using the spatula to flip burgers onto the buns, sticking one on each plate.-
  17. Tsaaq: She lifted her shoulders into a shrug. "Sure." She answered. "I won't be doing anything anyways. Might as well get an excuse to wear a bikini." Her words lightened. She watched him prep the plates with eagerness.
  18. Alexithymiaa: -Grabbing the chicken with the tongs, he put a piece on each plate, handing her plate over to her before turning off the grill and gas, picking up his own plate. "Yeah, I'm not working tomorrow so I figured it would be a nice way to spend the day. Lady likes to swim so it'll be good for her too." He gestured toward the grass, walking over and taking a seat down with his plate before digging into his burger.-
  19. Tsaaq: Hayley went to grab her plate and dropped her ass against the grass with a wince. She got started on her burger first. "Yeah... It's not like anything bad happens at parties anymore." She said. "Plus, yeah good things for Lady."
  20. Alexithymiaa: "I'd rather not think about the bad things that used to happen at parties. I think for the most part we've gotten rid of the bad people that did those things so now it should just be all fun." He took another bite of his burger, setting the plate down in front of him.-
  21. Tsaaq: "Yeah..." Hayley trailed off midbite. "I mean-" She paused to swallow then shrugged. "Yeah. You're right." She murmured and proceeded with her noms.
  22. Alexithymiaa: "What?" He asked her, looking up from his food to look into her face. "Is everything okay?"-
  23. Tsaaq: She waved her hand while shaking her head. "Yeah, everything is fine." She answered quickly. "Guess I just get a little paranoid still. But it's nothing big. Like, it's illogical." She shrugged.
  24. Alexithymiaa: "It's fine, we're all going to be together. Nothing is going to happen. Only the good people are left." He said with a little bit of a laugh, which I guess is sort of true.-
  25. Tsaaq: Hayley nodded her head slowly. "Right." She said firmly. "This came out good." Hayley spoke as she began to tear into her chicken, saving the steak for last.
  26. Alexithymiaa: "Thanks. Gabe's barbecue sauce recipe. Of course." He added, because everything Adam makes is Gabe's recipes. "And the steak is medium rare. That's how I like it and in my opinion anything more than medium and it's ruined anyway."-
  27. Alexithymiaa: (My brother's words.)
  28. Tsaaq: "I mean... I guess. It all tastes like meat." She giggled. "The sauce is good, as always. I mean. Don't neglect cooking the beef to the point that you can still hear Bessie mooing is all I ask."
  29. Alexithymiaa: "No, that's not even safe. I'm pretty sure that's not safe. I don't know how people eat that weird beef where it's still raw. Doesn't that make people sick?" He asked, stabbing his fork into some chicken to push it into his mouth.-
  30. Tsaaq: "What? Like sushi?" She asked him with her eyebrows raised. "Or Korean Barbecue? Which is basically just barbecue with a smaller grill usually." She rolled her eyes.
  31. Alexithymiaa: "No not that. It's beef. And it comes in like a raw cake of just... beef. It's supposed to be this fancy thing rich people eat. If they're so rich why can't they afford to cook their meat before they eat it?" He asked, a little small minded in the moment as he took another bite of chicken.-
  32. Tsaaq: "Ew!" She scoffed. "I guess that sounds cool... If you're a vampire or something." She muttered. "Do you think they're vampires?"
  33. Alexithymiaa: "No, I do not think all rich people are vampires." He said with a laugh, setting his food down again. "I think they're just easily bored with their lives because everything is so much easier when you have all that money to get what you want all the time."-
  34. Tsaaq: "Right but like, what if they were secretly vampires and it's a secret society of rich vampires doing secret vampire shit." Hayley rambled. "We should ask Bliss or Cadence." She as she pointed her finger at him. "Or it's what you said." She shrugged.
  35. Alexithymiaa: "I think if Bliss or Cadence were a vampire, we'd know by now. And haven't we seen them out in the day time?" He asked, popping holes in her theory. He climbed to his feet, reaching down to grab his plate. "We should probably take this inside. It's kind of buggy out here."-
  36. Tsaaq: "They could be like the dumb Twilight vamps. Or Upirs, they're daywalkers who eat babies." She answered as she stood. "Yeah I guess you're right. And I'm getting all bit up out here." Hayley pouted.
  37. Alexithymiaa: "I don't know... this feels like misinformation..." He trailed off, shaking his head and offering her his arm so he could walk her inside. "Maybe you should ask Bliss next time you see her."-
  38. Tsaaq: "It's not misinformation you just don't know about Upirs!" Hayley said. "I will ask. I doubt she'd eat babies." She began to laugh. "She can't even stomach certain vegtables."
  39. Alexithymiaa: "Babies are definitely off the table then." He said, returning the laugh to her as he walked her inside, turning into the kitchen to set his plate down on the table so they could finish their meal and this ridiculous debate, but I have to sleep.-
