  1. Osric Macmanus: "Three more months to go." Oz mused, position relaxed. He'd heard her tread first, before anything. The soft click clack of pricey heels
  2. against mosiac. A semi-calloused hand moved up to catch hers as it rested atop his shoulder, and he smoothly moved it toward his lips for a chaste kiss
  3. against the back of her hand. "How've you been Cere?" It'd always been a source of amusement to come up with new nicknames for the spitfire brunette when
  4. she'd been at the start of her career. -- It'd been a sort of a joke back then. Tease the rookie. But the woman was sharp, and had given just as good as she got
  5. the first time he'd made a passing jibe about her tits throwing off her center of gravity. -- It'd been friendship from then on. "Fresh meat come in yet? You're
  6. wearing your running heels." Oz teased as he nosed against her wrist gently, and caught a hint of perfume against her pulse, before releasing her hand
  7. altogether, and motioning the seat across his. -c-
  8.
  9. Osric Macmanus: There was a camaraderie between Aurors where most of the ministry was based on rank and acension. These were people you trusted with
  10. your life. -- And well, there was also the whole adrenaline bit. As of late Oz had found himself lacking plenty of excitement in his day to day post as a Hogwarts
  11. stand in. "I'm dying here by the way. Look, I've gotten paler and there's bags under my eyes from lack of sunshine.
  12. Osric Macmanus: " -e.-
  13.
  14. "So, right around the corner. Not bad, not bad. Soon it will just be tomorrow and then you can put it all behind you." The smiled before gripping his hands with affection and then taking the seat that was the closest to him, which was on the opposing side. "I've been well, though its been somewhat dead. Ever since, well. You know. Him. There hasn't really been that many cases to pick up on. Had there been any, you know I would of been the first one to be informed about it, since I take my cases seriously." She took a pause and looked down at her shoes and then to the menu to see what exactly did she want with her coffee that she always gets. Cere hadn't even realize that she did in fact have that of her running shoes on and it would be him to notice that. Oz was one of the few that she actually took the time to befriend in the Auror department. But that was only because he was picking on her and she was not going to let it go, so it was friends at first sight. "Well, you know we could always change that, have these little dates or whatever you want to call these more often." She smiled and leaned back into her chair, straightening out her position. "If you get any paler, people might just think that you're a vampire. I might have to carry garlic around with me for safety." A small chuckle passed by her lips.
  15.
  16. Osric Macmanus: "Seems more like a century at this point. I'm not good with children, you know that...I know that. Yet it was strongly implied I should apply
  17. for the position." Resting his elbow atop the table surface, he cupped his cheek lazily and took in her over all appearance as she settled. "Obviously. See? This is why they need me back sooner. I leave and it turns into a graveyard. Least there were pub outings." They were the kitten heel pumps, smaller heel but just as dressy as the stiletos. Black, and patent leather. He could remember getting her a similar pair in a wilder color a Christmas past. -- Something like neon yellow? They'd been from some muggle designer rather than the usual wizarding fashions. A peculiar thing in itself considering his distaste for the ilk. "I
  18. suppose we could. Not many Professors get sick too often, and I could use the dueling hours.-- That Richard's bloke is down there...Insufferable. Hyperactive
  19. and overachieving. Aren't Professors supposed to be -c-
  20.
  21. Osric Macmanus: disenchanted by the rowdy youth?" He snorted at the very mental picture. "As if that honestly works. I'm pretty sure I saw Sanguini load up
  22. on it in the last ministry function." -e.-
  23.
  24. "Now now, most are. But with Blaine, he actually likes the kids there and loves what he does so I guess that's why he acts the way he does. We on the other hand are somewhat different and probably would just be bored and wanting the others company. Its happened before." Scanning the list with her eyes, her indecisiveness began to kick in just a bit. "Hm. Well, in any case. You are good at what you do even if you aren't good with kids. As long as they get the lessons that they need, they will be just fine." Scanning the list once more, she decided that she would just have the coffee for now and if she felt like having anything, she would just steal something from Oz. Probably. With that done, she placed her menu down only to find him staring at her. It caused a eyebrow to raise up and a soft smile to imprint her face. "Hm. Well, if that's the case. There are other ways of taking down a vampire." It was her turn to now stare at him, her hands cupped one another and her chin rested
  25.
  26. on top. If seen from a far away distance, some might would think that they were a couple with all the flirting and motions that they were coming up with off the top of there flirtatious personalities.
  27.
  28. Osric Macmanus: "Guess so. Are you particularly fond of him?" Oz muttered and smooshed his cheek so it made a silly expression in response to her praise
  29. of the Professor. Honestly? Do gooders just plain annoyed the living shite out of him. Especially with all that potential.-- Waste. "Sure sure, and meanwhile it
  30. feels like a dementor is sucking out my very soul with each lesson over with." Brown eyes flickered down toward his own menu briefly, and he hummed idly as
  31. if actually perusing it. "You know what you want yet?" It didn't really matter what she ordered...Her fork usually found it's way to his plate regardless. "Any
  32. butterscotch and I won't be liable to give you a goodbye kiss. You know how much I hate the smell." His nose crinkled for all of a milisecond as he observed
  33. her instead, before she peered up and caught him looking. The smile quirked the corners of his own lips, just a slight as his leg swayed lightly to and fro. "If
  34. you say so. I always thought the Van Helsing method was a little -c-
  35. Osric Macmanus: much." he shrugged and held her gaze with mock intensity, before breaking out into a wide grin to throw off her concentration. It'd been a
  36. habit of theirs to conjure up impromptu staring contests during their free time in the office. -- So far? He'd always been the undisputed champion. -e.-
  37.
  38. Cere thought about his question regarding the teacher, which caused one of her eyebrows to go up in thought. What did she think of the man? Who honestly knows? "He hasn't done any ill to me so I can't say that I dislike him. His methods are just a bit over the top for me." Coming back from her thoughts, one of her already occupied hands came up to her lips to stiffle in a laugh from his antics. "Well, if a dementor is actually doing so. I'm gonna have to step in with that. Can't have my best friend dying from that you know. Who else am I going to spend my free time with?" And she was right about that. In all the current Auror positions, there were a handful that she could see herself partnering up with and the best person went and got himself on probabtion for what, she still doesn't know. She figured that he will tell her when the time is right, so she doesnt question it. "Hah. I know, Oz. That's why if I order anything, I never get anything with butterscotch, as I know how you feel about it. Its the same way I feel about caramel, though people wonder why. I think it's horrible. Sides, Ill just let you order and just eat off your plate." And just when he broke the gaze with that smile of his, she took the menu and softly tapped his head. She was so going to at least win one of these, someday.
  39.
  40. Osric Macmanus: "Glad we both agree on that at least." Oz muttered and motioned over a blond waitress as she glanced over with a little wave and mild
  41. smile. "Your obscene collection of footwear not doing it for you lately? I'm appalled." He gave a mock gasp, and leant forward in his seat. He was aware of how
  42. close proximity could be misleading. And though there'd been rumors of his relationship with Vorren extending further past platonic...He was pleased to say
  43. she enjoyed riling up the office rumors just as much, if not more than he did. -- If he remembered correctly, she'd been the one to start the one of him dating
  44. Celestina Warbeck's daughter after a ministry Christmas function where both mother and daughter had attended to entertain. "Caramel is hardly the same
  45. nusiance. Butterscotch just...The stench sticks with you." He blanched before snorting softly. "Sounds like the usual." As the waitress finally approached, he
  46. gave her his most winning smile and motioned to the Baklava in the sweets -c-
  47. Osric Macmanus: section. "I'll have a black coffee...And I don't know about the lady. It's not overwhelmingly sweet Cere, but I do reccomend something
  48. subdued to enjoy it with. Drink wise anyway." -e.-
