- Hours. Hours and hours of time spent at the forge, her tiny form slaving away behind the bellows in a desperate attempt to heat the arcanium up to a point where it is remotely workable. Were she not a magi, this scene might strike one as comical, but her magical strength allows her to keep going throughout most of the work.
- Eventually, after going through much of her charcoal and a fair number of fire enchantments placed on the forge to increase the heat being produced, the hunk of iridescent metal begins to lose its sheen; instead glowing from the heat. It was time.
- Ucchi takes the luminescent chunk of magical metal out of the coals with a pair of tongs and sets it squarely upon the nearby anvil. Hammer in hand, she begins flattening out a section of the chunk to be split off. She did not need that much material to make a ring, after all. Working quickly, for fear of having to heat the metal again, she isolates and works out a smaller, more manageable piece of arcanium. Using a chisel and hammer, she cuts into the softened metal disc where it meets the ore chunk, splitting it away from the rock. The split piece is catapulted off of the anvil and lands on the stone floor with a clattering. She picks it up, with tongs, and examines her handiwork briefly.
- There wasn't much time, at this point, she could see the light fading from the metal - it was cooling off quite rapidly! She fumbles around, quickly finding a sturdy metal punch which she promptly uses - in conjunction with her hammer - to bore a hole in the middle of the arcanium disc. Though bore isn't really the correct verb to use in this situation, what she accomplishes is smashing some softened material away from the center of the disk, creating a hole. Semantics aside, she had created the basic shape of what she wanted to make: a ring.

- Ucchi regards the small arcanium disc in front of her. It was the preform of a ring. From here, she intended to carve out the specific dimensions that she sought. That said, it was safe to say that this wouldn't be an easy task.
- The young girl tentatively raises her hammer and places the steel chisel upon the middle of the preform, giving the chisel a decently powerful strike - not a scratch. To be expected. It didn't take long for her to realize that there was probably a very short list of materials that could cold cut solid arcanium. Out of curiosity, Ucchi picks up a bit of arcanium scrap from the day before and attempts to etch into the arcanium preform... it works.
- But that would only be as a last resort... cutting away at the material using the small scraps that had escaped the chunks would take an inordinate amount of time. The obvious solution was to heat the preform up again and then punch out the middle in order to create a true ring. And this is exactly what Ucchi set about doing, lighting coals and using the bellows to fuel the inferno. Again, she enchants the forge with a number of fire runes in order to hasten the process, even though the smaller piece would likely not require the same time as an entire chunk of ore.
- After about half an hour of heating, the arcanium disk is ready for the punch. Ucchi carefully extracts the disk and places it upon the anvil. Quickly retrieving her hammer and a small cylindrical metal rod of slightly less diameter than the disc itself. She places the cylinder upon the disc, making sure to align the two correctly, and begins hammering. An eternity later, it seemed, the material in the middle finally gives way and is either crushed outward or separated from the disc entirely.
- Upon finally finishing the basic shape of the ring, the kitsune quickly quenches the ring to bleed off the remaining heat. She examines her handiwork closely after removing it from the quench - not bad, but it would need to be touched up. Luckily, the other small bits of arcanium lying around would do that job quite nicely. In the end, she is left with a fairly nice looking, if plain, iridescent green ring - two metallic claw-like structures protrude from the top of the ring, presumably in order to fit gemstones.
- She immediately puts the ring on, despite it being incomplete.
