  1. It was a normal day at Luna Nova.
  2.
  3. Well, almost a normal day for everyone at Luna Nova.
  4.
  5. Today was monday, which was a 'special' day for Akko.
  6.
  7. Akko was sitting at one of the tables in the Cafeteria with Sucy and Lotte, talking with them about recent events, making jokes, and eating breakfast, when she felt a hand on her shoulder that made her completely freeze up, and she'd be ashamed to admit felt 'familiar'.
  8.
  9. She turned to look at the person who grabbed her shoulder, and she was correct in thinking that it would be Hannah standing there, with Barbara next to her.
  10.
  11. "Hey Akko, are you ready for your 'special study session'?" Hannah asked Akko with a slight grin.
  12.
  13. Only Akko, Hannah, Barbara, and possibly Diana knew what these 'special study sessions' were. They were beatings Akko recieved, and the only reason Akko knew why they happened to her was because she was from a non-witch family.
  14.
  15. Akko tried to tell others, but they either seemed to fall on deaf ears, or no one simply believed her. The only two people that seemed to believe her were Lotte and Sucy, but even then they didn't seem to try and stop these 'study sessions'. Akko was convinced that Diana was using her influence or threating them to let these 'sessions' pass by unoticed. She was completely powerless to stop them.
  16.
  17. "C-Can I atleast finish my breakfast?" Akko asked looking away from Hannah, but she already knew the answer would be a variant of "No."
  18.
  19. Hannah leaned over, back into Akko's view, leaning on the table with her free hand. "Now Akko, you know you have to be on time for those study sessions..." Hannah said, while the grin on her face got bigger. She looked at Barbara, who seemed to be lost in thought for once, but quickly snapped back to reality with a quick mention of her name.
  20.
  21. "Y-Yea, you have to be on time for those sessions..." Barbara said and then looked away from both Akko and Hannah.
  22.
  23. "See? Even Barbara agrees, Akko!" Hannah said with a smug grin.
  24.
  25. "Y-Yea I guess you're right." Akko said, shifting her view to the floor. She glanced up at the two other girls at the table, in a silent plea for help. Lotte seemed to be playing with her food, trying to ignore the situation, while Sucy seemed to be doing the same, except she was focused on a shroom. Whatever threats Diana made to them, they were good ones.
  26.
  27. "Alright Akko, come on, we're gonna be late if you waste any more time!" Hannah said as she seemed to try to 'help' Akko out of her chair.
  28.
  29. Akko quickly got out of the chair with Hannah's 'help', and was pulled along by Hannah to the Cafeteria exit, with Barbara following behind.
  30.
  31. Hannah always kept her hand on Akko's shoulder, mostly to make sure she doesn't run away, but to also show she had complete control over Akko during these walks to her 'study session'. It's not like Akko tries to run away now anyways, since she's learned by now if she does the beating will be worse, and she never managed to get away whenever she tried.
  32.
  33. These walks always seemed to take a long time, probably done to make Akko think about what was going to happen to her, but not today. They arrived at their destination, an isolated room away from the students and professors in barely half the time they usually do, and Akko started to worry. 'They wouldn't have brought me so quickly unless they were planning something, right?' Akko thought to herself.
  34.
  35. Barbara opened the door to the silent, empty room, and Akko was pushed in by Hannah, barely managing to stay on her feet. She turned around to face the two girls that were behind her. Barbara slowly closed the door to the room, while Hannah walked towards Akko with her arms crossed and a smug look on her face.
  36.
  37. "So, what should we do to the idiot this time, Barbara?" Hannah asked as she turned to look at Barbara. The insults didn't mean anything to Akko anymore. She knew by now Hannah said them just to try and rile her up, and give her a reason to give her another black eye that everyone tried to ignore.
  38.
  39. Barbara shifted uncomfortably where she stood and didn't respond to Hannah's question.
  40.
  41. Hannah turned her attention back to Akko and walked closer to the girl. Akko barely managed to look Hannah in the eye before she was slapped. Akko tried to restrain herself from covering her face, but when Hannah slapped her again she couldn't stop herself, and she earned a quick punch to the stomach. Hannah pushed Akko over as she started to keel over from the stomach punch, and Hannah started kicking Akko in the side as she laid on the ground. After about five or six kicks, Hannah decided that it was enough, and looked down at the bruised and whimpering Akko, as Barbara looked on.
  42.
  43. "In case you've forgotten why I'm doing this, it's because you don't belong here. You don't deserve to be here. You're not even a real witch and you're trying to get into Luna Nova? AND you're trying to be like that disappointment Shiny Chariot? You deserve every beating." Hannah said as she stood over Akko.
  44.
  45. Hannah pushed Akko over onto her stomach with her foot, grabbed both her arms, pinned them behind her back, sat on her back, and forced her to look at Barbara by pulling on her pony tail. "Hey Barbara, why don't we show Akko what we found in her room?"
  46.
  47. Akko froze when she heard what Hannah said, and her heart started pounding so hard it felt like it was going to break her ribs. She let out a small "No..." when she saw Barbara reach into one of her pockets, and pull out one of her Shiny Chariot cards, and then another, and then another, until she had Akko's entire collection in her hand. It didn't take long for Akko to find out what they were going to do to the cards.
  48.
  49. "Stop! Stop! Those are m-" Akko's yelling was interrupted by a punch to her jaw by Hannah. "Alright Barbara, rip 'em up!" Hannah yelled while trying to keep Akko pinned on the floor. Barbara only seemed to half listen to what Hannah said, being too busy trying to ignore Akko's yelling and crying. "Barbara!" Barbara snapped out of it, and gave Hannah a nod
  50.
  51. "Please... please don't do this..." Akko begged Barbara as tears ran down her cheeks. Barbara seemed to freeze as she looked at Akko, "I... I..."
  52.
  53. Barbara started ripping the cards in half, trying to ignore Akko's screams the entire time. Finally, she ripped the final card in half, and Akko's scream had all but stopped and been replaced by the sound of her sobbing. Hannah let go of Akko and stood up, seemingly knowing she wouldn't try anything after what just happened to her. "Let's go Barbara, maybe she's finally learned something"
  54.
  55. Barbara slowly nodded as she stared at Akko, before being grabbed by the wrist by Hannah and pulled out of the room. "Come on, just leave her."
  56.
  57. The door closed to the room, and after a minute of being alone, Akko slowly crawled over to the ripped up cards and slowly gathered them up, still sobbing.
