The position is based out of our Austin office and will report into the Senior Director of product development in Atlanta.
We're looking for the following qualities in the manager:

* Must have strong technical abilities to help make intelligent product architecture decisions in concert with product architects
* Must have the ability to "raise" the overall level of the team by mentoring, coaching and hiring
* Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management in both technical and business functions, developing strong relationships, and defining clear service level agreements
* Needs to have a passion for delivering software using the agile methodology
* Needs to have a passion for engineering practices like TDD and Continuous Integration

Responsibilities Include:
* Ownership of product development taken up at the Austin location and release planning
* Balancing of team's priorities between sustaining and forward development activities
* Interviewing,  hiring and training employees, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related four year degree is a plus

Experience
Requires a minimum of 10 years of software development experience and a minimum of 5 years of management experience (the combined experience can be 10 years).
