- "Threaten me again and I'll break your dick you miserable pasty fuck." Avis growled at the man who was apparently inhabiting the boy before her, jamming a finger in Ben's chest one last time, harder than the last. Suddenly the Whisper started up even louder than before and she squinted her eyes. "Sorry about that." She said after a moment, looking Ben up and down with a small frown.
- He didn't react at all when the man had spoken, so she had to presume he was being inhabited without his knowledge. That made her curious, but not curious enough hto bother asking him. Judging from the stupid expression on his face she didn't think she'd get a clear answer anyway. "My name is Avisiria vah Lohess." Suddenly she put on a beaming smile and Marne wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
- "And I'm Marne!"
- "And she's Marne. The grumpy bastard from before is-"
- "Sithis." One her other side, the dark haired spirit from before appeared, arms crossed and expression bored. His grey eyes looked Ben over with relative disinterest. "Apologies for that."
- "He's pretty protective." Avis had added, giving him a playful nudge. "I'm a student of the Circle, studying the ley lines outside of-" She glanced out of the window and paused a moment. Was that a desert? She looked back to Ben with wide eyes. "This isn't Sela, is it?"

- "If you burn any of my books I will personally haunt you until the end of your days." Denus said with a playful smile, tapping their chin for a moment. "You cheated, but alas that's fine. Here." They snapped their fingers and a small, non-descript cube formed in the air and hit Mod in the head with a dull thud. Denus bit back a chuckle. "There you are, a shiny. I'm not gonna tell you what it does, because that's no fun."
- It was just that at first appearance, a simple cube carved from what seemed like marble. Intricate etchings ran across the surface on all but one face, where a single Z-shape symbol sat deadset in the center. Every now and again the etchings seemed to breathe with purple energy. "It was one of the first things I created. I call it the Ruin Cube. Be careful with it. I wouldn't want you to accidentally hurt yourself."

- "You, train me to fight?" Sagi shuddered at the prospect. "I'd rather get kicked in the di- you know what, never mind." He beamed at Bee. "If you're gonna be touching me, I suppose I won't complain."
- 'You're gonna marry her one day, I know it.' Bazael had said once Bee was gone, appearing splayed out on Sagi's bed with a smile. His golden eyes seemed amused.
- "And how do you know that?"
- 'Let's just say that I've got experience in these things. Eden swore up and down he wasn't going to marry his wife when they met, and lo and behold what happened?' He sat up and smiled. 'He married her and they lived happily ever after.'
- Sagi snorted. "So you got lucky. What about you? Did you know you were gonna marry your wife?"
- Bazael's smile fell and he shook his head. 'I was intent on marry someone else.' He said quietly, his gaze falling to his hands. 'But sacrifices had to be made. I ended up marrying a woman to secure a route for my armies. She was a lovely woman, but she wasn't the one who occupied my thoughts. She wasn't the one that I'd think of going into battle. It was always the other woman. Sad thing is, I can't remember her name or her face anymore. Only the way she made me feel.''
- "You never went after her?"
- Bazael shook his head. 'I came home and she was gone. I asked about her, but it was as if she never existed.
- "That's rough."
- 'You're telling me.' Bazael took a deep breath and nodded. 'It's fine though. I was stronger for it. I know she's out there somewhere, waiting on me. Maybe once all of this is over, we'll reunite.'
- Sagi frowned and started to ask a question. He paused, thought about it for a second, and shook his head.
- He wanted to know what would happen to him after all of this was over, but it was probably better he didn't. He knew he wouldn't like the answer. "I'm going to get breakfast. Coming?"
- Bazael shook his head. 'I'll catch up in a bit. I've got... stuff on my mind.'
