Adagio/Aria story (Adagio part 3)

>finally
>the motel is now within view
>you plow over the curb and through a brush
>leaves and branches now adorn the hood and windshield
>whatever food was sitting in the bag next to you is now plastered over the dashboard
"You will be safe here. I must leave for some time in order to take care of some unfinished buisness."
>Adagio leans in and pulls your face close to hers with both hands on your cheeks
>her commanding gaze scanning your eyes as if searching for signs of brain trauma
>"You are not leaving..."
>she moves one hand down to your chin and the other behind your head
>she pulls you closer until your foreheads touch
>she closes her eyes and begins humming
>the subtle vibrations from her vocal chords travel through her face across to yours
>your grip on the steering wheel loosens as the vibrations travel down your spine
"I have. . . to. . ."
>your focus began to fade as you struggled to pull away from her
"Let me. . . protect you."
>your hands drop onto your lap
>the humming, stopped
>the chill, nonexistent
>your goal, lost
>all you could see was a warm glow coming off her body
>"You are not leaving. . ."
>she pulls away and lets go of your chin as she begins stroking your hair
>"not until you go for a swim."
