The force of Mechanus was not too interested in your endeavor. Their internal, convoluted structure and red tape caused the agent you interacted with to reward you with a small amount of gold instead. On the way back to Orixia, you encountered a merchant ship, a Mercane Venture, fighting against what seem to be a Githyanki raiding team. You forcibly intervened, and destroyed the red dragon that was a part of the raiding team as well as captured a single survivor. Devouring and processing the red dragon net you each +1 to an attribute of choice, as well as enough material to create a set of Red Dragonscale Full Plate, or to reinforce a set of armor with Red Dragonscale instead (Red Dragonscale: Armor gain +1 rating if not already +1 or better. Wearer resists fire damage.). The material falls apart within a week, becoming unusable scales that are worth 2500 GP.

Now, the Mercane Venture is hailing you with flag language; While none of you understand it, it seem that the Mercanes on board would wish to communicate with you. The Mercane Venture sails closer... What will you do, adventurers?

[6:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That said, Recelle herself doesn't 100% know about Mercanes too well; She only know them from her race's records.

[6:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are a group of tall (10-12ft), blue-skinned outsiders similar to fiends - and indeed, many would group the Mercanes with the fiend than not due to their shrewd business practice. In classifications of modern realm, they are Aberration. They traverse the multiverse in their crafts, Mercane Ventures, and trade with those that they are able to. Mercanes trade in anything they can procure, whether by their favorith method of trade, or by conquest and strength where the natives can be "persuaded to a better trade" by a show of force. Their goods quickly descend into the realms of illegality by most measures, even by some fiends, and they are one of the few races known to deal with devils with glee.

Most Mercanes are not great in combat, often relying on their innate spell-like abilities, bodyguards, and treasures and trade goods to protect themselves. Some mercanes take on the path of wizards, or make a deal with a patron and entering a mutally beneficial business relationship as a warlock. Bard is surprisingly unpopular in the mercane society - they are already born with the wile of a merchant, and have no appreciation for fine arts beyond for their value for collectors. There are virtually no clerics in the Mercanes; While they may proclaim to be of faith to Waukeen or Tymora, they are willing to forsake their faith at any time if it means a profit.

[6:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The dastardly nature of the Mercanes has earned them a pretty negative reputation as the vultures of the multiverse, but they aren't inherently evil - a good trade and business conducted where both party (or at least the mercane) benefited from, and possibility of future trade for them is much more important than sucking an area dry. While they can't be expected to honor much of anything else, the mercanes hold true to their words in matter of all trades, similar to devils and their contracts. Of course, dealing with mercane in business should also be taken with the same caution as when signing documents from a devil.

They seem to all be male, beside for one or two female, and are all fine specimen of various humanoids, physically fit. They don't seem to be wearing any gears to protect themselves against the element even while on deck.

Yss's wings spread out, as she soars across the vast vacuum toward the Mercant's ship. Noticing your somewhat primitive mode of transportation, the Mercane Ship sails a bit closer. Recelle also readjusts the postiion of the craft a little.
