Sam Fisher- SC-IS Magnum Rounds

 From inside the bag, Fisher produced ingot-like sections of black-anodized metal, slotting them together quickly to build the shape of an SC-IS sniper rifle, a custom-manufactured weapon with an internal suppressor made specifically for Splinter Cell operatives. Fisher knew the rifle like the back of his hand, and set up an optimal firing position, adjusting the scope for windage and air moisture brought on by the rain.

 He worked the bolt and set a round in the chamber, putting his eye to the rifle scope and sighting toward the villa. Fisher let the crosshairs pass over the windows of the first and second floors. Inside, he could see people moving around, mostly men in the heavy dress uniforms of the Korean People’s Army. Any one of them might have been Colonel So or Onyx.

  “New message,” reported Kestrel. “Second floor balcony. North side. West corner. One minute.”

  “Copy.” Fisher shifted, finding the location, zeroing in. A French door opened on to the balcony, but no one stepped out. His lips thinned as he concentrated. There was a wooden trellis festooned with plant growth blocking his line of sight to the optimal position. He made a quick mental calculation; the .338 Lapua Magnum round in the rifle would easily be able to punch through the thin wood and into any target standing behind it, but there could be a minute deflection he would need to correct for.
