  1. Below is the most recent ERR that I see in the smtplog3.txt file, that errored out yesterday at 4:59. Notice that once again, it is a timeout error when it is trying to reach the mail server. I would venture to guess if it was resent now, which would use the exact same credentials as it used the first time it was sent, that it would be successful because as this very moment it would probably be able to establish a connection to SMTP server [customer SMTP server]:25. The [Shitty ERP software] only sends to the email server and cannot control the connection through the network. And as stated before, a resend uses the exact same email address, server name, etc. as it tried the first time. If it’s successful on the 2nd try, then the only difference is the connection to the email server at that very moment.

  3. We can support our [Shitty ERP software] and all of its functionality until it reaches an outside resource, in this case being the email server. If [Shitty ERP software] were somehow changing the server name it was trying to use, or possibly messing up the address that was typed in, I could help. That is not the case here. The error clearly states that its timing out trying to access mail server. The error is happening outside of the [Shitty ERP software].
