made phil's retinas bleed
so outside for some icecream and chilling

as he licked out his pot of vanilla
he spotted a pinball godzilla
he flippered the balls
which then bumped round the walls
points scored in the millions was killer

he looked for some coffee but sadly
the catering there was done badly
tried tea with a straw
but it flew to the floor
not madly, the caffeine hit gladly

he realised the cause of his ails
he'd picked up the bug
as he'd played metal slug

now conny did not want the germ
kept phil at a distance short-term
but they're just too love-hearted
and couldn't be parted
so next day she's also infirm

now phil liked his coffee, a cuppa
for breakfast and dinner and supper
but his covid affliction
transformed his addiction
to taste it now makes him throw up-per

in fear that he'll get dehydrated

from dusk until dawn
it screams out "UNICORN!"
and he sips only water, frustrated
