The Deep

Day 1: The Deep
As I opened my eyes, I saw nothing but darkness. The only thing I felt was the sense of being underwater.
As the dim blue light from above shone down to the ocean floor, a wave propelled me forward, pushing me against my will.

In my involuntary movement, I passed by the fish and other marine life that dwelled in this unknown aquatic abyss.
I feared the worst. I don't do well underwater, and the fact I was being pushed around by currents I couldn't notice didn't help. I felt like death came for me.

Then, I heard a woman's voice... she was trying to tell me something.

"With every passing day, the winds might grow stronger..."

I had no idea what she was trying to convey with these words, but she kept going.

"Joy to light the way to keep the reminder..."

Not only was I in a terrible situation, but I was also confused.
Before I could even question it, though, I felt another wave push me forward yet again, with enough force to spin me around and completely disorient me.
When I regained my senses and figured out which direction up was, I could only see one thing: the Earth.
Was I actually in space? What's going on?
The woman spoke again. Rather, she sang. With every word, I saw all sorts of aquatic animals circle the planet that all life called home.

"I'm yours forever... There is no end in sight for us...
Nothing could measure the kind of strength inside our hearts..."

It took quite some time, I finally understood her. I'd been lost for a while, but now I understand why I'm here. I was being taught a lesson.

Life recently has been a struggle. I've lost my way. I've thought about giving up entirely. She was trying to remind me of the people I've met up to this point, and how they've changed my life.
These people and I have been together through all of this, and I had forgot about that.

We're all connected. It's all been connected this entire time.

However, before I could even think twice about this, I felt something pull me away. I couldn't see exactly what did it, but all I could see was a white circle flash a bright light into my eyes, accompanied by a loud booming noise...
