  4. "Michael, we have an urgent matter we need your help for", Michael Drayran hears his parents yell. Michael is the Prince of Hero Kingdom, one of the five kingdoms that, together, reign over the planet. Being a soldier in the royal army, Michael is used to being sent on missions by his parents. Michael runs his hand over his brunette mohawk, makes sure his camouflage pants and camouflage shirt are zipped up, sheaths his swords, holsters his guns, and heads out to heed his parents' call.

  6. Michael rushes to his parents throne room. "The Dragonians and Catdragons are on the brink of war", they explain, "we need you to go to Dragonia as an ambassador and try to prevent this war".

  8. "It'll be an honor", Michael replies.
  9.  
  10. Before setting off for Dragonia, Michael stops by Techno Kingdom. His girlfriend, Penelope Irons, is the princess of Techno Kingdom. like a lot of people in her kingdom, Penelope is a "technopath", meaning she can control machines with her mind. Michael easily spots Penelope. with her blonde hair in pigtails, and her bright red miniskirt over camouflage pants, she's hard to miss.

  12. "I'm off to Dragonia to prevent a war", Michael explains to Penelope.
  13.  
  14. "Sounds like fun", Penelope muses. Penelope dons a spacesuit with a jetpack strapped to its back. "Mind if I tag along?", she asks
  15.  
  16. "You can if you want to", Michael answers, "You wouldn't happen to have another jetsuit, would you?"
  17.  
  18. "Of course I do", Penelope answers, "Hey Sally, bring me the other jetsuit". A red-haired girl wearing a red satin dress steps out of a nearby garage, struggling to carry a suit like the one Penelope is wearing. Saladora "Sally" Blitzer, who is from Turbo Kingdom (where everyone and everything moves at super speed), works with Penelope in her garage. Michael rushes over to Sally and takes the suit from her. His superstrength makes lifting it easy. After Michael dons the suit, Sally rushes off at break-neck speed.

  20. You ready?" Penelope asks.
  21.  
  22. "Let's go", Michael responds, and the two of them blast off.
  23.  
  24. The Dragonians (which resemble humanoid dragons) and the Catdragons (which look like feline dragons) usually get along with each other. Michael and Penelope arrive to find the Dragonians' leader, King Coatl, and the Catdragons' Leader, Queen Furscale, butting heads with each other.

  26. "Your half of the Planet is starting to encroach upon our half", King Coatl yells.
  27.  
  28. "No, it is your half of the planet that is encroaching upon ours", Queen Furscale yells back.
  29.  
  30. Jumping in-between then, Michael holds up his arms. "Dragonians! Catdragons! there is no need for this senseless fighting", Michael pleads.
  31.  
  32. "i'm getting too old for this", King Coatl remarks. The age-old king is breathing hard.
  33.  
  34. "Speak for yourself", comes another voice from the Dragonian army.
  35. Sergeant Nullhorn, a top-ranking Dragonian warrior, approaches Michael.
  36. "Why don't you bug off and leave King Coatl alone", Nullhorn demands.
  37.  
  38. King Coatl turns to Nullhorn. "If Michael doesn't want us going to war with the Catdragons, maybe we should try and make peace with them".
  39.  
  40. Nullhorn becomes enraged, "I'm not gonna let some dork from HeroWorld tell us we can't go to war".
  41.  
  42. At that remark, Penelope steps forth, "My boyfriend is not a dork". Penelope rocket-launches at Nullhorn, be he effortlessly knocks her away, sending her crashing into a tree. Nullhorn draws his gun, and fires on the tree, knocking it down on top of Penelope
  43.  
  44. Nullhorn turns his gun on King Coatl and shoots him. "We don't need this old geiser holding us back anymore", Nullhorn insists. Next, Nullhorn turns around, his gun facing the rest of his Army. "Everyone, I am your king now. any objections?" he commands. The Dragonian army joins in a cheer, "Hail Nullhorn!". Nullhorn turns to Michael. "You're next", Nullhorn declares.

  46. Michael braces himself as Nullhorn unsheathes his sword. Michael punches a button on his suit and a glowing sword extends out from the right gauntlet. "You're gonna pay for hurting my girlfriend like that", Michael declares.
  47.  
  48. Michael and Nullhorn engage in a swordfight. "You may have superstrength, but even that pales in comparison to a Dragonian's strength", Nullhorn insists.
  49.  
  50. After they trade blows several times, Michael unleashes a wild swing, slicing off Nullhorn's left wing. A second later, someone fires an energy blast at Nullhorn, shooting off his right wing.
  51.  
  52. It was Penelope who fired the blast. Her Jetsuit has a cannon concealed in one of it's gauntlets. Queen Furscale had rescued Penelope beforethe tree could fall on her.
  53.  
  54. Nullhorn is furious. "The Catdragons can have this freaking planet. It isn't worth it to me to keep fighting them. I'm declaring war on HeroWorld instead", Nullhorn declares. Nullhorn departs for HeroWorld with the Dragonian army in tow.
  55.  
  56. Michael and Penelope walk over to King Coatl. "Are you alright?" Michael asks.
  57.  
  58. "I fear my wounds are fatal", King Coatl responds mournfully. King Coatl places a scaly hand on Michael's left shoulder. "Take my Dragonian powers and stop Nullhorn", King Coatl tells Michael. Michael is transformed into a dragon-like form similar to a Dragonian. he discovers he can change in and out of this form. Penelope blushes.

  60. Then, Michael feels something on his right shoulder. It'a the fluffy-scaled paw of Queen Furscale. The elderly queen speaks in a soft voice. "King Coatl can only strengthen you offensive-wise. Take some of my defensive power too", she requests, "We Catdragons are covered in indestructible fur-covered scales. Our defensive abilities combined with the Dragonians' offensive abilities will make you strong enough to defeat Nullhorn and save your planet". Michael is covered in fluffy scales from head to toe. He discovers he can make the scales go away and come back as he pleases.

  62. The Catdragons opt to remain on Dragonia, not interested in fighting, so Michael returns to HeroWorld to confront Nullhorn. Arrivng they see something big flying towards them.
  63.  
  64. "It's Hyper Castle", Penellope realizes. Hyper Kingdom is able to lift off and fly around. As such, it moves to place to place and is harder for invaders to find than the other kingdoms. Hyper Castle can seperate from the rest of the kingdom and act as a mobile fortress.

  66. Michael and Penelope land inside one of the castle's towers. Gideon Turbo, Darlia Annstein, and Ezekiel Castor are waiting for them. Gideon is the prince of Hyper Kingdom. He looks rather tough in his leather jacket and leather pants with his slick black hair combed back. Darlia, princess of Polymer Kingdom (home of the world's top scientists), is wearing a white lab coat over her sky blue dress and burgundy cargo pants. She has her brunette hair tied in a bun. Ezekiel, prince of Spellbound kingdom (where magic is abundant), is wearing a black cloak over his purple shirt and blue jeans. His yellowish-white mullet shakes violently as Sally, who happens to be his girlfriend, suddenly comes rushing past him.

  68. "I'm gonna go find my father", Sally declares. She kisses Ezekiel real quick, then jumps out a window. Sally opens a parachute and floats out of sight.
  69.  
  70. "We gotta stop those Dragonians", Michael declares, "gather the Superkids". "Superkids" is the name Michael gave to the team he and his friends formed, which is comprised of all the children of the five kingdoms.
  71.  
  72. Michael and Penelope parachute out of Hyper Castle and head for Hero Kingdom, figuring Nullhorn will strike there first. They arrive to find that Nullhorn has already struck. Michael's parents are lying on the ground, dead. Michael cries a bit, but, being a soldier in the royal army, he's used to people he knows dying. Still, the loss of his parents saddens him. Penelope becomes worried.

  74. "I'm going to Techno. I'm worried that my parents will be next. Penelope returns to her home kingdom, while Michael heads to Hyper. He arrives to find Hyper completely abandoned, aside from a teary-eyed Gideon kneeling beside his parents' bodies. Dead knights are lying around everywhere. Hyper Castle itself seems to have crash-landed. Michael notices some of the fallen knights are from Hero Kingdom. Scorch marks on their armor are evidence it was Dragonians that killed them. Gideon notices Michael and walks over to him. "Dragonians shot down the castle", he reveals, "Me and Darlia barley had time to kiss before we had to parachute out. She's headed to Polymer".

  76. Penelope arrives at Techno Kingdom to find a ghastly sight awaiting her. Just like in Hero Kingdom, death and destruction is everywhere. Penelope's parents are among the dead. Penelope sees someone else kneeling on the floor: Sally. Penelope also recognizes the dead knight that Sally us sitting beside as Sally's father. Sally is crying so hard, she has soaked her red satin dress.

  78. "Try to be strong for your father", Penelope advises.
  79.  
  80. Sally stands up and stops crying. "Thanks for your support. I'm gonna go find Ezekiel now" Sally decides. Sally rushes out the door as Penelope looks back to her parents. Unable to stand the sight any more, Penelope rushes away from Techno kingdom in tears. Penelope meets up with Michael en route to Polymer Kingdom.

  82. "Cheer Up", Michael encourages, "we'll get through this". Michael kisses Penelope, swallowing some of her tears in the process. In Michael's embrace, Penelope stops crying, but is ready to collapse. Michael picks Penelope up in his arms and makes his way to Polymer Kingdom.
  83.  
  84. The two of them arrive to find a bunch of Superkids, and the few remaining knights of HeroWorld, engaged in battle with the Dragonians. Darlia and Ezekiel, their faces red as if they had been crying, confirm that their parents are dead too. Penelope leaps out of Michael's arms.
  85.  
  86. "It's time to make these Dragonian jerks pay for what they've done", she adamantly declares.
  87. Sally is nearby, now wearing a camouflage miniskirt. She has two wicked-looking machetes, one in each hand, and is savagely slashing at the Dragonians.
  88.  
  89. "The Superkids confronted the Dragonians at Spellbound kingdom and chased them back to Polymer", Ezekiel explains. Michael, Penelope, Gideon, Darlia, Ezekiel, and Sally decide confront Nullhorn together.
  90.  
  91. "Lets trap Nullhorn in my lab", Darlia suggests, "I can rid us of him after that".
  92.  
  93. Gideon and Sally run circles around Nullhorn, cutting him off from his troops. Darlia steps out of her lab wielding some kind of ray gun. She shoots Nullhorn in his leg with it, covering said leg in ice.
  94.  
  95. "Freeze Ray", Darlia explains, "Dragonians are weakened by ice and cold temperatures, unlike Catdragons, whose fluffy scales protect them from the cold". Ezekiel points a finger at Nullhorn as Darlia freezes his other leg. Ezekiel mutters an incantation and Nullhorn is levitated and thrust through the door into Darlia's lab. Michael, Penelope, Gideon, Darlia, Ezekiel, and Sally enter the lab behind him. The Dragonian Army attempts to force their way into the lab , but Michael and Penelope hold them back. Darlai flips a switch on a device in the lab and a wormhole opens up across the room.

  97. "Send Nullhorn and his army into that wormhole, and we'll be rid of them", Darlia explains. Darlia hits Nullhorn with her freeze ray again, freezing the rest of him. Ezekiel does his levitating thing again and then chucks the frozen Nullhorn into the wormhole
  98. .
  99. "Michael, Penelope, let the other Dragonians into my lab" Darlia commands. Michael and Penelope run over to Gideon, Darlia, Ezekiel, and Sally as the Dragonian army enters the lab. Darlia turns a dial on the wormhole device.
  100.  
  101. "Shield us", Darlia yells at Michael. Michael generates a force field of fluffy scales. Darlia turns the dial as far up as possible. the Wormhole's gravity intensifies and it sucks in all of the Dragonians. Michael's fluffy-scale shield protects him and his friends from the wormhole's gravitational pull.
  102.  
  103. Once the last Dragonian disappears into the wormhole, Darlia pushes the lever back up, and the wormhole closes. "Hopefully, we won't ever seen the Dragonians again", She remarks. A few days later, the Superkids, and the few knights of HeroWorld that survived the battle gather at Hero Kingdom to watch as Michael and Penelope are crowned king and queen of HeroWorld. Queen Furscale and several other Catdragons are also in attendance at the ceremony.

  105. Michael stands up to make a speech, "I know our kingdoms have been decimated by the recent battle with the Dragonians. Know that I and my lovely queen, Penelope, will be doing our best to restore the five Kingdoms to their former glory". Penelope stands up next. "I will personally oversee the rebuilding efforts", she announces.
  106. Everyone, including the Catdragons, join together and chant, "All hail King Michael and Queen Penelope".
  107.  
  108. Somewhere out in space, the Dragonians float around aimlessly. Nullhorn is still frozen solid. "I say we ditch this jerk and choose a new leader", One Dragonian suggests. "Good Idea", Another responds. They give the frozen Nullhorn a kick, and then flying in the opposite direction from him and head for the nearest planet. Nullhorn, meanwhile, is floating towards a sun.

  110. Superkids: Ezekiel's Quest

  112.  
  113. "Looks like things are starting to get back to normal around here", Ezekiel Castor observes. its been several weeks since the battle with the Dragonians. Ezekiel is back in Spellbound Kingdom, over-seeing the rebuilding effort. The kingdom suffered less damage than the other four kingdoms in the battle, but was still hit hard. The castle still hovers above the rest off the kingdom, suspended in midair by magic to make it extremely hard for intruders to reach it. Ezekiel is making his way over to the kingdom's library, when he hears someone calling out to him.
  114.  
  115. "Prince Ezekiel, I found something you're gonna want to see", an old lady standing outside the library is waving an ancient-looking book at him. An old man with a long, flowing beard is standing beside her.
  116.  
  117. "Mallory! Reginald!", Ezekiel is excited to see the kingdom's librarians up and about. They usually just sit around in the library. Reginald also teaches magic classes, although the schoolhouse was decimated by the Dragonians, so he hasn't been able to for a while.
  118.  
  119. "This ancient tome was found in the rubble when we rebuilt the library", Mallory informs Ezekiel, "I don't recall a book like it being in the library before".
  120.  
  121. "I'll check it out", Ezekiel suggests. He takes the book from Mallory, then points a finger up towards the castle. A broomstick flies down from the castle, stopping right in front of Ezekiel. Ezekiel climbs onto the broomstick, and it carries him upward into the castle.
  122.  
  123. Once he's back in his bedroom, Ezekiel opens the book. It describes a group of ancient artifacts, hidden around the the world. There are five artifacts, each representing a different one of the five kingdoms: the Orb of Justice, the Gear of Antiquity, The Omega Battery, The Labcoat of Knowledge, and the Golden Wand.

  125. "If I could find these artifacts, I could use them to speed up the rebuilding and recovery of the five kingdoms" Ezekiel realizes. Ezekiel quickly decides going on this quest by himself would not be a good idea.
  126.  
  127. It occurs to Ezekiel, "Sally would hate me if I went on an epic quest and didn't bring her along". Saladora "Sally" Blitzer, from the Hyper Kingdom, is Ezekiel's girlfriend. Ezekiel changes into a black t-shirt, purple cargo pants, and hiking boots. As he prepares to leave the kingdom, a boy standing near a huge cauldron stops him.

  129. "Where are you off to?", the boy asks. He's wearing purple suspenders over a red t-shirt.
  130.  
  131. "Brandon, i'm going to visit Sally, then we're leaving on an epic quest to find some ancient artifacts", Ezekiel responds.
  132.  
  133. "Mind if I come along?", Brandon Epans asks, "my expertise at brewing potions might come in handy". Ezekiel knows that Brandon, another Superkid from Spellbound, is always looking for an adventure. He's also right about him being a potions expert.
  134.  
  135. "Sure", Ezekiel replies.
  136.  
  137. Ezekiel and Brandon travel via broomstick to Hyper Kingdom. They notice that the castle is flying once again. The people of Hyper are zooming around so fast they look like blurrs. Ezekiel notices Prince Gideon zooming along on his motorcycle. Ezekiel and Brandon land their broom right next to Gideon.

  139. "have you seen Sally?", Ezekiel asks Gideon.
  140.  
  141. "She's over at Polymer Kingdom with Darlia", Gideon responds.
  142.  
  143. Ezekiel and Brandon make haste to Polymer. They find Sally in Darlia's lab.
  144.  
  145. "I'm going on an epic quest to find some ancient artifacts which may be able to speed up the kingdoms' recovery process. Wanna come with me?", Ezekiel asks Sally.
  146.  
  147. "You bet I do", Sally remarks. She takes off the white labcoat she'd been wearing to reveal a sky blue t-shirt and turquoise shorts that don't quite touch her knees.
  148.  
  149. "You three have room for one more on your quest?" another voice asks. its then that Ezekiel and Brandon notice a Catdragon in a white labcoat coming towards them.
  150.  
  151. "This is Dr. Fluffenstein, a Catdragon scientist", Sally explains, "he's been helping me and Darlia treat those who were injured battling the Dragonians".
  152.  
  153. "I have been cooped up in this lab for a while now, and really want a chance to get out of here and spread my wings", Dr. Fluffenstein reveals.
  154.  
  155. "You can come too, I guess", Ezekiel replies.
  156.  
  157. Dr. Fluffenstein sheds his lab coat, then steps outside and spreads is wings.
  158.  
  159. "If you need a lift, i'm happy to give you one", Dr. Fluffenstein suggests.
  160.  
  161. "I need to go get the rest of my potion-making equipment from Spellbound", Brandon tells Dr. Fluffenstein. Dr. Fluffenstein hefts Brandon up onto his back and flies off to Spellbound.
  162.  
  163. "I have something I need to get in Hyper", Sally informs Ezekiel. Ezekiel grabs Sally's arm as she takes off running.
  164.  
  165. "It's in here", Sally says. They are standing outside a garage that used to be her father's. Sally walks into the garage, and comes out a few seconds later driving a hovercar.
  166.  
  167. "Awesome!", Ezekiel shouts excitedly. Sally swoops down and Ezekiel jumps into the passenger seat.
  168.  
  169. "let's ride!" Ezekiel declares, and they zoom off to meet up with Brandon and Dr. Fluffenstein.
  170.  
  171. Brandon and Dr. Fluffenstein are surprised to see Ezekiel and Sally arrive in a hovercar.
  172.  
  173. "Why does a speedster like you need a car?", Brandon asks Sally.
  174.  
  175. "Sometimes, even speedsters wanna travel in style", Sally remarks. Brandon loads his potion-making equipment into the hovercar's trunk.
  176.  
  177. "I'll just fly on Dr. Fluffenstein. Your car is only a two-seater after all" Brandon comments. The four adventurers set off from Spellbound together.
  178.  
  179. "The location of the first artifact is in that forest over there", Ezekiel informs everyone, pointing towards a swath of trees nearby. When they arrive at the forest, Dr. Fluffenstein drops Brandon off of his back.
  180.  
  181. "These trees are too thick for me to fly through", Dr. Fluffenstein admits. Brandon and Dr. Fluffenstein traverse the forest on foot while Ezekiel and Sally ride in the hovercar. They find the entrance to a cave deep in the forest. Ezekiel and Sally climb out of the hovercar, and Ezekiel enchants it, making it invisible.

  183. "Don't want anyone to steal it", He explains. The four of them head into the cave on foot. "The artifact we're looking for is somewhere in this cave", Ezekiel tells everyone, "Also, watch out for booby traps".
  184.  
  185. They quickly come across a statue that shoots energy beams out of its eyes at them. Ezekiel projects a magic shield in front of them and blocks the eye beams, then flings it at the statue, causing the statue to blow its own head off. The decapitated statue sinks into the ground, revealing a new path.
  186.  
  187. "Let's go that way", Ezekiel suggests, and hurries down the new path. The others hastily follow him. Soon, they come to an underground lake. rock walls surround it, making it look like the only way to continue forward is to dive into the lake.
  188.  
  189. "let me try something", brandon suggests. he takes out a vial containing a lime-green potion and smashes it against the left wall. The potion eats away part of the rock wall, revealing a opening that seemingly leads back outside. Ezekiel, Sally, Brandon, and Dr. Fluffenstein crawl through the hole and emerge in a valley. there's a lake in the center of the valley and, high upon a cliff, they see the artifact on a pedistal in an altar. As they walk towards the cliff, something bursts out of the lake.

  191. "A Bahamut!", Ezekiel exclaims, "It must be guarding the artifact". The creature looks like a humanoid shark. It smacks Ezekiel with its fins, sending him flying. Brandon and Sally rush over to Ezekiel. The bahamut attacks Dr. Fluffenstein, but his fluffy scales protect him.

  193. "I think my arm is broken", Ezekiel tells Brandon, wincing from the pain.
  194.  
  195. "get my potion bag", Brandon yells. in less than a second, Sally rushes back to the hovercar, grabs the bag, and rushes back to Brandon. Brandon hands Sally an indigo-colored potion.
  196.  
  197. "Drink this and you should be able to defeat the Bahamut and get the artifact", he explains. Brandon grabs another potion and begins treating Ezekiel's arm. "I told you i'd be useful on your quest", Brandon reminds Ezekiel.
  198.  
  199. Sally drinks the potion and immediately grows to about 50 feet tall. she can reach the artifact now. The Bahamut is trying to take a bite out of Dr. Fluffenstein. Sally reaches down and grabs the Bahamut.
  200.  
  201. "My turn to do some eating", Sally remarks. She tosses the Bahamut right into her mouth and devours it. Sally reaches up and retrieves the artifact. When she gets back to Ezekiel and Brandon, Ezekiel is fully recovered.
  202.  
  203. "That growth potion lasts for 30 minutes. It'll also prevent you from using your superspeed until it wears off", Brandon explains.
  204.  
  205. "I guess i'll carry everyone to the next artifact's location then", Sally decides. She picks up Ezekiel and Brandon, putting them in her left pocket. Dr. Fluffenstein flies beside her and lands on her right shoulder. Ezekiel climbs up to Sally's left shoulder.
  206.  
  207. "I'll ride up here", Ezekiel decides. Sally steps out of the valley, makes her way around to the cave entrance, and retrieves her hovercar, which she puts in her right pocket.
  208.  
  209. "Head west until you reach a desert", Ezekiel tells Sally. As Sally heads west, Ezekiel examines the artifact they retrieved. It's an orb of some kind. Ezekiel notices a crease running along the middle of the orb. He twists the orb, causing it to open. Inside it is a miniscule model of the Hero Kingdom.

  211. "This is the artifact that represents Hero Kingdom", Ezekiel remarks, "The Orb of Justice".
  212.  
  213. When they reach the desert, Sally removes Brandon and her hover car from her pockets. She manages to lower Ezekiel down to the ground, and then the potion finally wears off and Sally returns to her normal size. The four of them enter the desert cave, and immediately fall into a quicksand pit. Dr. Fluffenstein tries to pull them out, but is unable to.

  215. "Brace yourself", Dr. Fluffenstein warns. Then, he dives right into the quicksand. A whirlpool begins forming at the center of the quicksand pit, sucking in all the sand. Dr. Fluffenstein, like any Catdragon, posseses superbreath. He is using it to form a tornado within the quicksand pit. Ezekiel, Sally, and Brandon are pulled into the sand twister.

  217. "Sally, if you spin around really fast in the opposite way from the way the sand twisted is rotating, you'll cancel it out", Dr. Fluffenstein yells. Sally does just that, and the sand twister disperses. Dr. Fluffenstein catches the 3 Superkids, preventing them from falling back into the sand. Dr. Fluffenstein flies them across several more chambers, some of which also contain quicksand pits, until they reach a large, round room.

  219. "Over their", Sally points across the room. a silver gear is propped up on a pedestal.
  220.  
  221. "That's the artifact that presents Techno Kingdom: The Gear of Antiquity", Ezekiel announces. As they walk towards the Gear, the floor opens up in front of the pedestal, and a giant robot rises up from below. The robot has a giant sword in one hand.
  222.  
  223. Sally notices the Gear is turning. "The Gear is controlling it somehow", she informs everyone, "keep the robot busy. I'll get the Gear. The robot lunges at Ezekiel and Brandon, but Dr. Fluffenstein jumps between them and the robot. The robot's sword fails to damage Dr. Fluffenstein.

  225. Sally rushes up to the Gear, but its stuck in the pedestal. "I can't get it out", She cries.
  226.  
  227. "Here Sally, use this", Brandon yells. he throws her a vial containing an orange potion. "That'll give you superstrength for 10 minutes" he tells her. Sally drinks the potion, and then practially rips the gear of the pedestal. The robot immediatly shuts down. Sally jumps onto its arm and pries the sword from it's hand.

  229. "This might come in handy later", she decides. Dr. Fluffenstein flies the back out of the cave.
  230.  
  231. "Two artifacts down and three to go", Ezekiel notes. As the strength potion wears off, Sally finds it hard to hold up the sword. Ezekiel enchants the sword to make it super-light. Ezekiel then uses an encantation to shrink the sword down a little bit.
  232.  
  233. "If you know a shrinking spell, why the freak didn't you use it on me earlier?" Sally asks Ezekiel.
  234.  
  235. "I was enjoying you being a giantess", Ezekiel replied, "If only we'd encountered another monster while you were giant-size, I woulda been like "I have a 50-foot-tall girlfriend and i'm not afraid to use her" or something". Sally laughs.
  236.  
  237. The four of them make their way out of the desert and come across a small village. a building marked "restaurant" piques Ezekiel's interest.
  238.  
  239. "I'm starving", Ezekiel complains, "let's stop there". Sally, Brandon, and Dr. Fluffenstein are all in agreement. Ezekiel orders a hamburger and some french fries. Sally orders Steak and mashed potatoes. Brandon orders sushi. Dr. Fluffenstein orders a big plate of salmon. About halfway through their meal, the power goes out. Then, they notice a bunch of guys in jet black uniforms armed with swords have enter the restaurant.

  241. "Ninjas!" Brandon exclaims.
  242.  
  243. "Give us the Orb and the Gear", The ninjas demand.
  244.  
  245. Dr. Fluffenstein unleashes his superbreath, blowing the ninjas away. He and the three Superkids bolt from the restaurant in an instant.

  247. A short time later, a figure in a scary-looking mask approaches the restaurant.
  248.  
  249. "Did you get the artifacts?" the figure asks.
  250.  
  251. "No, my lord", one ninja replies.
  252.  
  253. The ninjas gather around the man. "Sooner or later, the will retrieve the artifact I am looking for. I won't need the other four artifacts if I get that one", The masked man remarks, "let us wait until they have it, then we'll strike when they least expect it". Unbeknownst to him, someone else is watching him and his ninjas from the house across the street.

Ezekiel, Sally, Brandon, and Dr. Fluffenstein retrieve the next two artifacts without much difficulty: The Omega Battery (which represents Turbo Kingdom), and the Labcoat of Knowledge (which represents Polymer Kingdom). The last artifact turns out to be located in the same village where they ate lunch and encountered the ninjas.

  257. "We're finally gonna go after the artifact that represents my kingdom", Ezekiel declares, excited. They make it back to the village by sundown. The restaurant is already closed. As Ezekiel, Sally, Brandon, and Dr. Fluffenstein ponder their next move, they hear a voice coming from the house across the street from the restaurant.

  259. "Over Here", someone says. A girl is poking her head out the front door of the house.
  260.  
  261. "Katie!", Sally exclaims. The girl at the door is Katie Pembrook, a friend of Sally's from Polymer.
  262.  
  263. "This is my grandparents' house", Katie explains, "I'm here visiting with them". Katie opens door and lets everyone in. "I saw you guys leaving the restaurant in a hurry earlier. My grandparents happen to own that restaurant" She reveals.

  265. "That place was crawling with ninjas", Sally tells Katie.
  266.  
  267. "I know", Katie replies, "I saw them meet up with their leader after you left. Some creepy dude in a scary-looking mask and a black cloak. He reminded me of the Grim Reaper, only without a scythe".

  269. "I know who you're talking about", Ezekiel realizes, "His name's Lord Dread. He's a dark wizard who was banished from my kingdom by my parents. I shoulda guessed it was him when I saw the ninjas. He often conjures ninjas to do his dirty work".

  271. "You all are welcome to crash here tonight", Katie informs everyone, "My grandparents are used to me having friends over for sleepovers".
  272.  
  273. "I'll stand guard outside tonight", Dr. Fluffenstein offers, "If any ninjas, or Lord Dread, show up, I'll yell".
  274.  
  275. "I'll run and fetch some food from the restraurant for you all", Katie suggests. A few minutes she returns with enough food for a small feast. Everyone eats their fill, and then settles in for the night. Eventually, Katie and Brandon are the only ones awake. Brandon is brewing more potions in case they need them. Katie walks over to Brandon.

  277. "Can I help?", She asks.
  278.  
  279. "You know anything about potion-making?", Brandon asks her.
  280.  
  281. "I'm a scientist. I'll figure it out", Katie replies. They spend the next few hours assembling ingredients to put in potions. After a while Katie is just sitting down watching Brandon finish a potion. A few minutes later, she falls asleep leaning on Brandon's arm. Brandon realizes Katie is rather cute. he realizes he enjoys her lying on him. Eventually, Brandon carries the sleeping girl upstairs to her bedroom and puts her in her bed, then heads back down stairs to get some sleep himself.

  283. Dr. Fluffenstein is keeping an eye on the neighborhood, when a net falls on and around him without warning.
  284.  
  285. "What in the world?" he wonders. Then, he sees the ninjas. A second later, the restaurant bursts into flames.
  286.  
  287. Lord Dread is standing near it holding a jet black wand. The tip of the wand looks burnt. a ninja slightly taller than the others is standing next to them.
  288.  
  289. "They aren't in the restaurant this time, my lord", the ninja explains, "they are over there". The ninja points to the house across the street.
  290.  
  291. Everyone is woken up by the sound of Dr. Fluffenstein screaming. The next thing they know, a barrage of ninja stars fly through the living room window, shattering it. Lord Dread is standing across the street. The restaurant is now completely engulfed in flames. A group of ninjas have Dr. Fluffenstein trapped in a big net. His claws seem unable to cut through it.

  293. "Lord Dread is here", Ezekiel hollers, "Everyone, front and center". Katie and her grandparents march downstairs in thier pajamas.

  295. "What?" Katie's grandma yells. She and her husband can't hear very well.
  296.  
  297. "Grandma, grandpa, you need to get out of here. it's not safe right now", Katie insists.
  298.  
  299. Ezekiel faces Lord Dread in a battle of magic. "What do you want?" Ezekiel asks.
  300.  
  301. "I want to kill you and then take over Spellbound Kingdom of course", Lord Dread declares, "I've been planning my revenge ever since your parents exiled me. When I found out they were dead, I snuck back into Spellbound long enough to plant a book in the library. A book I knew would lead you to seek out the five artifacts. You have found all of them except the one I desire the most: the Golden Wand".

  303. "The Golden Wand amplifies the magic its wielder casts", Ezekiel realizes, "If you got that, you'd be unstoppable".
  304.  
  305. "Where is the Golden Wand hidden at?" Lord Dread demands.
  306.  
  307. "Up there", Ezekiel says, pointing to the entrance to an abandoned mine.
  308.  
  309. "Hey ugly", Katie yells, "I don't appreciate you wrecking havoc in my grandparents' village and burning down their restaurant". She has changed into a bright orange skirt, pink skinnyjeans, and combat boots. Katie has some kind of raygun in her hand. she aims it at Lord Dread and fires.
  310.  
  311. Lord Dread responds with a blast of dark magic. It collides with the beam from the raygun and the two cancel each other out.
  312.  
  313. "Anti-Magic Ray", Katie explains to Ezekiel. Then, a bunch of ninjas surround Katie, holding her back. Lord Dread turns to Ezekiel.
  314.  
  315. As Katie struggles to escape from the ninjas, she hears the whirring of multiple engines. The sound is getting louder and louder.
  316. A horde of motorcycles has appeared. Sally recognizes the person riding the bike in front.
  317.  
  318. "Gideon!" She exclaims. The prince of Hyper Kingdom has arrived on the scene and brought his bike gang, the Hyper Knights, with him.
  319.  
  320. "What do we do", a biker asks Gideon in an obviously female voice.
  321.  
  322. "Take out those ninjas, Riley", Gideon responds.
  323.  
  324. Riley leads the other bikers in an all-out attack on the ninjas. Each biker wields a long chain, which the use to yank the ninjas away from Katie. Gideon zooms over to Sally.
  325.  
  326. "Thanks for letting me know", Gideon comments to Sally. Sally had contacted Gideon on her cell phone and told him about Lord Dread and the earlier ninja attack .
  327.  
  328. "I gotta run", Sally quickly comments, then she zooms off.
  329.  
  330. "This ends now", Lord Dread declares, firing another dark magic blast, this time at Ezekiel. A blurr shoots past Ezekiel and, suddenly, Ezekiel is holding the Golden Wand. Ezekiel fires a magic blast that, amplified by the Golden Wand's power, turns back Lord Dread's attack and knocks him flying backwords into the burning wreckage of the restaurant.

  332. All of the ninjas vanish. Sally uses the sword she took from the robot earlier to free Dr. Fluffenstein from the net. Brandon, who slept through everything, emerges from the house wondering what happened. He sees the burning restaurant, and douses it with an anti-fire potion, extinquishing the flames. The burnt body of Lord Dread is visable in the wreckage.

  334. "Our work here is done", Riley remarks. She and the other bikers leave to rendezvous with Gideon, who took Katie's grandparents to Polymer and hasn't come back.

  336. "That was pretty clever what you did back there Ezekiel.", Sally comments, "You pointed out the location of the Golden Wand so I could run and retrieve it, but made it look like you were telling Lord Dread the location".

  338. With all five artifacts in their possession, Ezekiel, Sally, Brandon, and Dr. Fluffenstein are ready to head back and deliver them to the five kingdoms. Katie wants to come with them.
  339.  
  340. "I need to go to Polymer there and make sure my Grandparents are alright", she insists.
  341.  
  342. "I'll fly Katie to Polymer", Dr. Fluffenstein offers, "The rest of you do what you need to do with those artifacts".
  343.  
  344. Ezekiel, Sally, and Brandon head for Hero Kingdom, where they give the Orb of Justice to King Michael and the Gear of Antiquity to Queen Penelope. Penelope takes the Gear to Techno Kingdom. Sally takes a second to kiss Ezekiel, and then takes the Omega Battery to Prince Gideon at the Hyper Kingdom. Ezekiel stop off at Polymer to deliver the Labcoat of Knowledge to Princess Darlia. Katie approaches them and hugs Brandon.

  346. Ezekiel, Brandon, and Katie head back to Spellbound. Ezekiel heads to a spot in the center of the floating castle.
  347.  
  348. "When the five artifacts are placed in the cores of the kingdom's the represent at the same time, a miracle will happen", He recites. Ezekiel conjures four magic screens. Michael, Penelope, Gideon, and Darlia are each on one of the screens.
  349.  
  350. "When I give the signal, place your artifact in your castle's core.", he commands, "Now!". At the exact same time, all five artifacts are placed in the castles' cores. The five cores begin to glow. Then a beam of light shoots up from each of the five castle. An aurora appears in the sky, stretching all the way from Hero Kingdom to SpellBound Kingdom. Energy rains down from the aurora onto all five kingdoms. It makes hero kingdom's people feel stronger than ever. The energy makes Techno Castle transform into a giant robot not unlike the one from the cave where the gear of Antiquity was found, and then transform back into a castle. In Hyper Kingdom, the energy creates power surges everywhere, making everything run even faster. In Polymer Kigndom, people are suddenly jotting down ideas, conducting experiments, and people who had been sick are jumping off their hospital beds and feeling back to normal. Lastly, in Spellbound kingdom, People start casting magic they never thought they were even capable of casting. Brandon and Katie stand in the middle of it all, locked in a kiss.

  352. Superkids 3: Darlia's Storm

  355. "Lovely day for motorcycling", Gideon Turbo remarks. He's zooming along a country road, with clear blue skies above. He's decked out in orange denim jeans, with a black leather jacket over his burgundy muscle shirt, enjoying the cool breeze blowing around him. It's deceptively calm. As Gideon zooms along, the ground starts shaking. Gideon's motorcycle strikes a slanted rock which had risen out of the ground, sending him flying. Gideon is flung off his bike, and lands hard on the ground with a loud cracking noise. His bike slams into the trunk of a tree with a loud CRASH. Seconds later, the ground splits open not far from where Gideon landed.

  357. A few miles up the road, Saladora "Sally" Blitzer is chasing after Roadburn, a wanted criminal with a penchant for stealing fancy vehicles.

  359. "Give me back my Hovercar you jerk", Sally yells. She spots a rock jutting out of the ground. She rushes up the rock at superspeed and launches herself into the air. While in midair, She notices Gideon lying on the ground, and his bike seemingly parked beneath a tree.

  361. "At least SOMEONE's enjoying himself", she yells, trying to get Gideon's attention. Gideon hears Sally, but when he tries to move, he feels incredible pain from his right leg. Sally lands on top of the Hovercar, opens the trunk, retrieves her sword. She climbs into the passenger seat, and holds her sword inches from Roadburn's face.

  363. "All right, you overgrown grease monkey, get out of my hovercar NOW!", Sally demands. Roadburn turns to address her, but the distraction causes him to crash the hovercar into the same tree as Gideon's bike. Roadburn leaps from the wreckage, with Sally in hot pursuit. Sally lunges at Roadburn, her sword held aloft. Roadburn pulls a long knife out of his jacket and parries Sally's attack. Sally notices Gideon is still lying on the ground.

  365. "Are you gonna help me or not?" she yells.
  366.  
  367. "I'd love to, but I think I broke my leg when I wrecked my motorcycle", Gideon responds. It's then that Sally gets a closer look at Gideon's motorcycle and notices it is badly damaged. Roadburn lunges at Sally with his knife. Sally holds her sword out the block him. as they continue to fight, the wind picks up and dark clouds appear overhead. Thunder roars, lightning flashes, and rain begins to fall. As the two continue fighting, Gideon notices a tornado just up the road from where they are. It's heading in their direction.

  369. "Watch out for that twister", Gideon yells.
  370.  
  371. "Guess I better finish you off quick, Saladora", Roadburn sneers. He knows full well that Sally hates it when anyone other than her parents calls her by her full first name. "When i'm through with you, i'll finish off the already-injured prince over there", He declares. Now, Sally is really enraged.
  372.  
  373. "No one threatens Prince Gideon and gets away with it!", She shouts. Sally swings wildly at Roadburn with her sword. The tornado reaches the tree and sucks it in along with Sally's hovercar and Gideon's bike. The tornado is closing in on Roadburn and Sally. Roadburn has his back to the tornado and doesnt realize how close it is until he is lifted off the ground. With one last slash, Sally knocks Roadburn backwords into the tornado.

  375. Gideon feels the tornado pulling him in. Gideon manages to grab onto Sally's waist. Sally jams both her sword and the knife, which she parried away from Roadburn as she flung him, into the ground as hard as she can. Gideon places a hand on each weapon. The two of them remain anchored to the ground as the tornado passes around them. A few seconds later, the tornado vanishes and the sky clears up.

  377. Darlia Annstein appears nearby. "Wondered where you two disappeared too", Darlia remarks, "I was back at Polymer monitoring weird weather phenomena on my supercomputer, which there's been a lot of recently, and I saw you two out here in the middle of a thunderstorm".

  379. "Darlia, how did you get here so fast?", Sally asks.
  380.  
  381. "I finally got my Teleporter back up and running", Darlia responds, "and it looks like it's a good thing I did".
  382.  
  383. "Gideon's badly injured", Sally explains, "He wrecked his motorcycle".
  384.  
  385. "My watch is linked to my Teleporter", Darlia explains, "I can teleport us all to Polymer, where we can get Gideon the help he needs". Darlia holds Sally's hand and Sally holds Gideon's hand. In a flash, the three of them disappear from the area, reappearing seconds later in Polymer Kingdom.

  387. They landed on a glowing tile in Darlia's lab. "We got an injured Superkid here!", Darlia yells. The door to her lab bursts open and two people in white lab coats wheel a stretcher into the room. They lift Gideon onto the stretcher and whisk him away. A second later, Ezekiel Castor bursts into the room.

  389. "Sally, are you alright?" he asks.
  390.  
  391. "I'm fine", Sally responds, "It's Gideon who is injured". Ezekiel leaves the room and goes to check on Gideon. At this point, Sally realizes her clothes are soaking wet. Feeling a little bit embarrassed, Sally rushes off. She returns a second later, now wearing a reddish-orange t-shirt, bright red shorts, and pink sneakers. She rushes over to where Gideon is lying.

  393. "Everyone over at Hyper is worried about their prince", she replies.
  394.  
  395. "His leg has been treated and is almost completely healed", one of the doctors in the room declares. Gideon manages to stand up.
  396.  
  397. "I grabbed you a change of clothes while I was over at Hyper", Sally tells Gideon, then hands him the black-and-green t-shirt and blue jeans she'd brought him. Gideon ducks into the bathroom, and emerges a few seconds later, changed into them.
  398.  
  399. "I better head over to Hyper and let everyone know i'm all right", Gideon announces, and then the zooms off.
  400.  
  401. "Wait Up!", Sally shouts, and then, after taking a second to kiss Ezekiel, she zooms off after him.
  402.  
  403. Ezekiel makes his way over to Darlia's Lab.
  404.  
  405. "Any idea what's causing these weather disasters?", he asks Darlia.
  406.  
  407. "I'm still trying to figure it out", Darlia responds. An alarm sounds on the control panel or the lab's supercomputer. Darlia rushes over and pushes a button. An image appears on the computer's screen. The image in question shows a town with omnious dark clouds overhead.
  408.  
  409. "Looks like another storm is brewing, this time in Reineback Town", she comments. Then, two figures emerge onto the screen. "Good, looks like the twins are there", she notices.
  410.  
  411. Marcus and Mavis Cyon, a twin brother and sister from Polymer, have just arrived in Reineback Town to visit their grandmother. A few minutes after they arrive Mavis' watch starts beeping. Mavis presses a button on it and Darlia's face appears where the clock should be.

  413. "Marcus! Mavis! I want you to investigate around Reineback Town and see if you can find out what's causing these freak storms and quakes", Darlia requests.
  414.  
  415. "We'll see what we can do", Mavis answers back. The twins notice the approaching storm and make haste to their grandmother's house.
  416.  
  417. Meanwhile, in Hyper Kingdom, Prince Gideon has returned and assured his people that he is alright. Riley Burnout, the second-in-command of Gideon's bike gang, is dismayed when she learns Gideon's motorcycle was lost in a tornado.

  419. "Any chance of recovering it?", Riley asks Gideon.
  420.  
  421. "I doubt it", Gideon responds. The ground begins shaking like crazy. Sally runs up to where Gideon and Riley are standing.
  422.  
  423. "We gotta got this castle in the air NOW", she insists. Gideon, Riley, and Sally rush down to the castle's control room. Gideon presses some buttons and the castle lifts off. Down on the ground, a gigantic crack forms right in the middle of the kingdom's village. Gideon moves the castle so it's hovering right over the village, then fires its tractor beam. Everyone in the village zooms into the tractor beam and is lifted up into the castle. Once everyone is on board, Gideon fires the turbo boosters and the castle rockets away.

  425. Over in Spellbound Kingdom, Superkid Nadia Crystal, gazes into her crystal ball. What she sees terrifies her. Realizing what she needs to do, Nadia packs her crystal ball and a few other things in a backpack, hops on her broomstick, and flies away.

  427. Back in Reineback Town, Marcus and Mavis ask their grandmother if she has any idea what might be causing all these weather disasters.
  428.  
  429. "My late husband had a secret lab somewhere in this town where he did some kind of odd experiments. In fact, the two of us moved here from Polymer so he'd be closer to it. He never told me where in this town it was located, and he never let me go with him when he went to it", She explains. Outside, the rain finally lets up and the sky clears.
  430.  
  431. "Let's go look for that lab", Marcus suggests.
  432.  
  433. "I'm coming with you", Grandma Cyon insists, "I've waited long enough to see my late husband's lab".
  434.  
  435. Marcus, Mavis, and their grandmother make their way outside and head up the road. A little ways up the road, their grandmother points out an old house up on a hill.
  436.  
  437. "One of your late grandfather's friends lives up there", She tells them.
  438.  
  439. "Let's go see if grandpa's friend is home. He may know where the lab is", Marcus suggests.
  440.  
  441. "I hear the place is haunted", Grandma Cyon informs them.
  442.  
  443. "If there's any ghosts in there, we'll see them", Mavis reminds her grandmother. Both of the twins have the ability to see, and communicate with, ghosts.
  444.  
  445. As they approach the house, a girl and 2 boys are visible outside it. Mavis and Marcus recognize the girl. Her name is Luna Boltright, a Superkid from Hero Kingdom who has lightning powers.
  446.  
  447. "I heard someone scream in there", Luna tells the twins, pointing towards the house, "so I contacted my friends Chucky and Chumley and asked them to help me investigate". Marcus recognizes those two names. Chucky and Chumley are Superkid brothers from Hero Kingdom. Chucky has X-ray vision, while Chumley possesses super-elasticity.

  449. Mavis becomes aware that Chucky is staring at her. She realizes what he is REALLY doing, and slaps him.
  450.  
  451. "Shall we go inside?" Mavis asks.
  452.  
  453. Grandma Cyon turns to Chucky. "Be a dear and scan the house for me. I wanna know if Arnold is home".
  454.  
  455. Chucky scans the inside of the house, "I don't see him in there anywhere".
  456.  
  457. "I'm going in", Marcus insists. He rushes forward and jerks open the front door. Marcus, Mavis, Luna, Chucky, Chumley, and Grandma Cyon enter the house. Grandma Cyon takes a seat in a recliner in the living room.
  458.  
  459. "I need to rest a minute" She decides. Chucky scans the second floor.
  460.  
  461. "There's someone lying on the ground up there!", he shouts. Marcus and Mavis rush up the nearby staircase and find the dead body of Arnold Ershan. As they approach the body, Arnold's ghost appears.
  462.  
  463. "Lab....Machine....Weather....DISASTER", Arnold mutters, struggling to speak. He is pulled upward and vaishes before he can clarify anything. The twins are spooked by the whole thing, and rush back down stairs.
  464.  
  465. "Arnold's dead", They inform their grandmother, "looks like he suffered a heart attack". Grandma Cyon tears up a bit. Suddenly, the ground begins shaking. The house starts crumbling around them. The two brothers retrieve Arnold's body.
  466.  
  467. "Another quake", Marcus notes, "We've got to get out of here". A giant crack forms along the floor, splitting the house in two. Chumley stretches out his arms and legs and fills in the gap so everyone can cross to the other side of the house, where the front door is. Grandma Cyon insist on them bringing Arnold's body with them. No sooner do they all get out the front door, then the back half of the house crumbles and falls down into the gap. A ghost appears where that half of the house had stood.

  469. "Grandpa!", Marcus and Mavis exclaim. Their grandmother turns around and notices him too.
  470.  
  471. "Margaret", grandpa Cyon addresses grandma Cyon, "forgive me. this whole mess is my fault because of what I did in that lab".

  473. Grandma Cyon begins to cry. "Anthony", she responds, "If you tell your grandkids where your lab is, maybe they can stop whatever is in there".
  474.  
  475. "What about you?" Grandpa Cyon asks.
  476.  
  477. "I'm too old to be messing around in some 40-year-old science lab", Grandma Cyon responds. She begins to cry even harder.
  478.  
  479. Grandpa Cyon's ghost floats right down to her. The two of them attempt to hug despite her being unable to physically touch him. Looking towards her grandkids, and then back to her deceased husband, Grandma Cyon makes a choice.
  480.  
  481. A crack forms in the ground right in front of the house. This one is widening much faster than the first one. Chumley stretches his arm across the gap, making a bridge. Marcus, Mavis, and Luna hurry across the gap. Chucky turns to Grandma Cyon.
  482.  
  483. "C'mon we've got to go", He demands. Grandma Cyon notices Chumley's grip on the other side of the gap is slipping.
  484.  
  485. "Don't worry about me, save yourselves", She demands back. The gap is getting even wider, putting a strain on Chumley. The front half of the house is starting to crumble. Converting herself into lightning, Luna leaps up into the dark clouds above, and then strikes down on the other side of the gap. She rushes to Chucky and Chumley's side

  487. The two of them yell at her, "Get Back! it's not safe!".

  489. "The ground under Chumley gives way, causing him to lose his grip on the other side of the gap. Chucky tosses Arnold's Body as hard as he can, and manages to get it over the gap. Next, he rushes to grab his brother before he falls. Chumley stretches his other arm up and manages to grab Chucky's shoulder. Unfortunately, the ground under Chucky crumbles. The two brothers plunge into the gap together.

  491. Grandma Cyon knows she doesn't have much time left. She turns to face her husband's ghost. "I'll be with you soon", She says, accepting her approaching death. Moments later the front half of the house gives away, dragging Grandma Cyon down with it.

  493. Marcus and Mavis collapse on the ground and burst into tears. Luna realizes she needs to get back across the gap, and then she sees someone on a broomstick approaching. Nadia swoops down and Luna climbs on her broomstick. Nadia and Luna fly back across the gap. It begins raining again as Luna, like Mavis and Marcus, begins to cry. Luna stumbles to the edge of the gap.

  495. "Chucky! Chumley!, She cries out, but there's no response. Luna cries even harder, her tears raining down into the crevasse.

  497. Nadia sees two ghosts, a man and a woman, floating towards them. Mavis and Marcus manage to dry up their tears as their grandparents' ghosts approach them.

  499. "Try not to cry", Grandma Cyon's ghost suggests, "I'm with your grandfather once again".
  500.  
  501. "The entrance to my lab is over there", their grandfather's ghost points towards where his friend's house had stood. A small part of the basement is still there, including a door that seemingly leads into the ground, "You should find the solution to these weather disasters there". With that, the two ghosts embrace each other in a hug, and then float upwards into the sky and vanish.

  503. "Before we go any further, i'm contacting Darlia", Mavis insists.
  504.  
  505. Back in Polymer, a blizzard is pounding the castle. Darlia presses some buttons on the control panel of her supercomputer activates the castle's lasers and melts the snow. As the blizzard begins to let up, The control panel begins beeping. She presses a button and Mavis appears on one of the screens.

  507. "Our grandfather has a secret lab here in Reineback Town. We just saw his ghost and he says his lab may hold a solution to these weather disasters", Mavis informs Darlia.
  508.  
  509. "I'll be right there", Darlia responds. Then, She notices Gideon and Sally.
  510.  
  511. "I'm coming with you", Gideon insists.
  512.  
  513. "I'll stay here and man the controls", Sally offers. Darlia and Gideon step onto the Teleporter tile, Sally activates it, and within seconds Darlia and Gideon appear in Reineback Town not far from where Marcus, Mavis, Luna, and Nadia are.

  515. "Did you foresee this house collapsing?", Luna asks Nadia.
  516.  
  517. "Yes", Nadia replies. She seems worried, as if the worst is yet to come. "I also saw myself saving Luna", Nadia adds. The six of them make their way around the cracks in the ground and step down into what's left of the basement. The door has been jarred off its hinges by the quakes and falls down when they try to open it. It leads to a passageway which seems to go upward into the mountains outside the town. The six Superkids make their way through the passage and then up a flight of stairs. There's another door that has been jarred off its hinges at the top of the stairs. On the other side, they find themselves looking at a complex machine that is shooting off sparks. A door on the far wall is standing open. Marcus steps through it and finds himself on the side of a mountain.

  519. "You can see the whole town from here", he realizes. Everyone else is more interested in the machine. It has buttons labeled "Thunderstorm", "Quake", "Tornado", "Blizzard", "Volcano", And "Sunny".

  521. "This machine must be what's causing all the weather disasters", Darlia realizes. Then, there's a deafening roar.
  522.  
  523. "It's happening!" Nadia exclaims, "The big disaster I foresaw". Marcus, still standing on the mountainside porch, notices something orange gushing from one of the other mountains. Thick black smoke is also rising from that mountain.

  525. "The volcano's erupting!" Marcus shouts, and hurries back inside.
  526.  
  527. "If we don't stop it, Reineback Town will get buried in the lava!" Mavis shouts. Then, Nadia freezes on the spot. She stares blankly for a few seconds, then snaps out of it. The others know Nadia just had a vision.

  529. "What did you see?" Luna asks.
  530.  
  531. "Darlia's storm", Nadia replies. She walks over to Darlia. "You can save us all, and use this machine to do it", She tells Darlia, pointing at the weather machine.

  533. "I'm not even sure how this machine works", Darlia fusses.
  534.  
  535. "Play the tape inside the camera that's in that cabinet", Nadia says, pointing to an ornate cabinet in the far corner of the room. Darlia opens the cabinet and, sure enough, there is a video camera inside it. And sure enough, the camera still has a tape in it. The shelf above the camera has a TV and VCR that are still hooked up. The shelf below the Camera is full of tapes. Darlia removes the tape from the camera and inserts it into the VCR. The TV comes on. The face of Arnold, the old man Marcus and Mavis found dead in the house, appears on the screen.

  537. "This will likely be my final recording. My old heart can't take much more. The weather machine is starting to wear down and if it keeps up, it may run amok and generate disasters across the land", Arnold records. He walks over to the machine and fiddles with some of its wires. "I can't remember how to fix it so I leave this recording in hopes that someone will find it and fix my beloved machine before it's too late", Arnold continues. He suddenly grabs his heart. "I've got to go", he finishes. Then, the tape ends.

  539. Mavis notices Darlia is crying. "The man in that recording...is my grandfather", Darlia reveals, "He must've given up on fixing the machine in order to make it back to his house before he died", Darlia says, fighting back her tears. "I'll try my hardest to fix his machine. The fate of the town depends on it", Darlia declares. She opens the lower compartment of the machine, where Arnold was messing with the wires in the video. Some of them are cut. "I need some kind of splicer to put these wires back together!" Darlia shouts.

  541. "On it", Gideon declares. He rushes down the mountain at light-speed and returns seconds later with a handful of splicers. Darlia quickly splices all the wires back together. The machine quits shooting sparks. Darlia aims the machine at the volcano and presses the "thunderstorm" button, but nothing happens.

  543. "It needs more juice!", Darlia shouts.

  545. "On it" Luna replies. she grabs the wires inside the machine. Electricity snakes down her arms and into the machine. Darlia presses the "Thunderstorm" button. The machine chugs to life.

  547. "It's working!", Darlia shouts.

  549. Nadia steps out onto the mountainside porch, where she sees the thunderstorm brewing over the volcano. "Darlia's storm", she recites. The thunderstorm cuts loose, dumping a torrent of rain on the flowing lava. The lava begins to harden. It stops flowing mere inches away from the town.

  551. "We did it!", Darlia declares, and then she breathes a sigh of relief.
  552.  
  553. Darlia lets it keep raining for a few more minutes. Then, she presses the "Sunny" button and the storm clears up. Sunlight pours into the room through the open door. Darlia, Marcus, Mavis, Luna, and Gideon join Nadia on the porch. The skies are clear and blue once again.

  559. "This one looks pretty", Saladora "Sally" Blitzer remarks.

  561. "This one is prettier than that one", Bonnibelle "Bonnie" Arcbright responds.

  563. "This one is the prettiest of all", Annireese "Annie" Bridgette insists. The three girls are in the Polymer Kingdom Mall shopping at Clair's Boutique, a clothing store chain that is well-known across HeroWorld and has stores in each of the five kingdoms. Bonnie and Annie consider themselves the Superkid fashionistas. Sally enjoys shopping with them. As the three of them finishing paying for their merchandise, the sound of glass shattering grabs their attention. A group of masked individuals just burst in through a window.

  565. "Hand over everything in the cash register and no one gets hurt!", one of the masked individuals demands. Sally, Bonnie, and Annie step out from behind a rack of dresses to get a better look at the robbers. One of the robbers notices the three girls.

  567. "Three of them are in the boutique. Those three girls over there", he whispers to his accomplices. Two of the robbers turn their guns on Sally, Bonnie, and Annie. The three girls bolt from the Boutique, but one of the robbers fires his gun at Sally. A jolt hits Sally. She tries to speed up, but finds her superspeed is gone.

  569. "That creep's gun is some kind of Power-negating laser", Sally realizes. The three girls emerge into the main part of the mall and split up to lose their pursuers. Sally ducks into a toy store. Bonnie and Annie jump on the escalator. Bonnie gets off on the second floor, while Annie gets off on the third floor. One of the robbers follows Sally into the toy store.

  571. "Give it up, Superkid", the creep demands, "The effects of our Power Neutralizer won't wear off for 24 hours". The cashier behind counter panics.

  573. "If you're gonna rob me, just get it over with already", He screams, pushing the register towards the robber.

  575. "I'm not interested in your money", the robber sneers. He turns a dial on his gun and fires it at the cashier, who goes rigid and falls down upon being zapped. The robber turns his attention, and his gun, back to Sally. As the robber prepares to fire, someone zaps him from behind. The robber shrinks down to the size of a mouse. Sally sees Darlia Annstein standing in the entrance of the toy store, holding a shrink ray.

  577. "You okay Sally?", Darlia asks.

  579. "I'm fine", Sally responds, "Nice shrink ray"

  581. "Thanks", Darlia responds back, "I'd been working on it for a while and finally got it working". Sally gives the moused-sized robber a swift kick and sends him flying across the toy store. She and Darlia leave the toy store in a hurry.

  583. "How'd you know where I was?", Sally asks Darlia.
  584.  
  585. "When I arrived at Clair's boutique to shop for some new clothes, the place was a mess. The clerks told me you, Bonnie, and Annie were chased from the store by a bunch of robbers who didn't actually steal anything", Darlia explains.
  586.  
  587. "Yeah. They acted like they were gonna rob the boutique, but when they saw me, Bonnie, and Annie, they chased us instead. I think these "robbers" are targeting Superkids. They have a device that neutralizes our powers", Sally adds. Sally and Darlia hop on the escalator and head to the second floor to find Bonnie.

  589. Bonnie is in the second-floor food court trying to avoid another one of the "robbers". The robber has his gun aimed at her. Bonnie ducks under a table as he fires. A bolt of energy ricochets off the table and hits a cashier at a nearby ice cream shop, causing him to freeze up and fall face first in a vat of orange sherbet. Bonnie grabs a try off a table and flings it at the "robber", who easily deflects it. Sally and Darlia arrive on the scene just in time for the deflected tray to smack Darlia in the face. Darlia drops her shrink ray, which goes off and hits the same ice cream shop cashier, shrinking him down so he ends up falling the rest of the way into the vat. A second "robber" sneaks up behind Darlia as Sally runs up behind the first "robber" and clocks him in the back of his head.

  591. "Bonnie, run!", Sally yells. Bonnie takes off running. Sally turns around and notices Darlia is gone. She recovers the shrink ray from under a table and unshrinks the ice cream shop cashier before running off after Bonnie. The "robber" recovers from Sally's punch and notices Bonnie and Sally have left the food court.

  593. "Darlia's missing", Sally explains to Bonnie after catching up to her. Sally and Bonnie check around the food court, but there's no sign of Darlia. The "robbers" have also vanished.
  594.  
  595. "You think they took her?", Bonnie asks, "What about Annie?".
  596.  
  597. "We better go find her", Sally responds. The two girls make their way back to the escalator and head for the third floor.
  598.  
  599. Up on the third floor, Annie is hiding in the women's restroom. She hears someone calling her name and steps out to find Sally and Bonnie waiting for her.

  601. "They took Darla hostage", Sally explains to Annie, "they may still be in the building looking for us, but I haven't seen any of them on this floor". Aside from the shrink ray Sally recovered after Darlia's kidnapping, the three girls don't have anything else on hand except the bags of clothes they bought.

  603. "The guys who broke into the boutique didn't see the clothes we bought. let's change outfits before we go any further. We may be able to get out of the mall without being recognized by any of them that are still lingering around", Annie suggests. The three girls duck into the women's restroom. Sally emerges wearing a red shirt and blue miniskirt. Bonnie emerges wearing a orange t-shirt and yellow shorts. Annie emerges wearing a turquoise shirt and puffy pink skirt. Each girl is also wearing a large hat to conceal their faces and, in Sally's case, her bright red hair. It would be a dead giveaway if they are spotted by any of the "robbers". The three girls ride the escalator back down to the first floor. As they exit the mall, the three girls see the "robbers" loading an unconscious Darlia into the back of a large van. Sally, Bonnie, and Annie rush up to the van. Sally punches the guy at the back of the van, and then climbs into it to rescue Darlia. Bonnie and Annie try to distract the other "robbers", but end up getting captured and thrown in the back of the van. Darlia wakes up as the "robbers" close the van's rear hatch. One of the "robbers" is sitting in the back with them.

  605. "Where are you taking us?", Sally demands.
  606.  
  607. "We've been offered a hefty sum for any Superkids we can capture", the guy responds. While Sally keeps the guy talking, Darlia manages to unlock the rear hatch and open it. All four girls rush the guy and pummel him. During the commotion, Sally gets knocked out of the van as it is leaving the mall parking lot and lands in a bush. The van disappears from sight, taking the other three girls with it.

  609. Sally returns to Hyper Kingdom. Gideon Turbo, the kingdom's prince, is waiting for her.

  611. "They were saying on the news that someone broke into the Clair's Boutique at the Polymer Kingdom Mall. Isn't that were you, Bonnie, and Annie went shopping today?", Gideon asks.

  613. "Yeah. The ones that broken into the store pretended to rob it. When they saw me, Bonnie, and Annie they started chasing us. Darlia showed up and saved me from one of the "robbers" but then she got kidnapped along with Bonnie and Annie", Sally explains, "The guys chasing us also had a device that can negate our superpowers for 24 hours. They seem to be specifically after us Superkids. One of them said they had been offered a hefty sum for the capture on any Superkids they could find"

  615. "Sounds like someone has a vendetta against us", Gideon infers.
  616.  
  617. "I intend to investigate these kidnappers and rescue our friends", Sally declares, "And I am NOT waiting until my powers return". Sally then shows Gideon the Shrink Ray. "I need to get this back to Darlia, too", She explains. Sally heads out of the castle and Gideon follows her. Riley Burnout, a female biker from Gideon's bike gang, meets up with them.

  619. "I just got word that the guys who broke into the Polymer Kingdom Mall this morning are heading our way", Riley informs them.

  621. "Rally the other bikers and form a defensive line. These guys were dealing with can disable our powers, so be careful", Gideon orders. Sally, Gideon, Riley, and the other bikers stand their ground at the entrance to the kingdom. When another bike gang appears, everyone is surprised. Sally notices the bikers are armed with Power Neutralizer guns just like the guys from the mall.

  623. "Those bikers are working for whoever hired the guys that broke into the mall" Sally realizes.
  624.  
  625. "Whoever their employer is, he or she seems to know a lot about us. This kingdom is defended by bikers, so he or she hired bikers to attack it", Gideon adds. Gideon's bikers engage the enemy bikers in combat. One of the enemy bikers dodges Gideon's bikers and drives straight towards Sally, Gideon, and Riley. He pulls out his gun, and aims a blast at Riley. Gideon jumps in the way and takes the hit.

  627. "That felt weird", Gideon remarks. He realizes his superspeed isn't working now. The biker turns a dial on his gun.
  628. "Their weapons have different settings. Aside from the Power Neutralizer, i've seem them use their guns as tasers", Sally notes.

  630. "Sally, take my bike and get out of here. I'll keep these enemy bikers busy so you can escape", Riley shouts as she tosses her keys to Sally. The enemy bikers are slowly overpowering Gideon's bikers. Sally hops on Riley's motorcycle, and zooms off as quickly as she can.

  632. Sally keeps riding until she reaches a small town north of Hyper Kingdom. Unsure of where she should go next, Sally checks into a motel for the night. Before going to bed, Sally takes out her cellphone and calls Riley.

  634. "Is Gideon okay?", Sally asks.

  636. "The enemy bike gang managed to get away with him. They immobilized me, so I couldn't do a thing to stop them", Riley responds.

  638. "So Gideon's been kidnapped too?", Sally notes, "This is getting way out of hand". Sally decides to get some sleep and decide her next move in the morning. She puts her cellphone away and climbs into bed.

  640. The next morning Sally is woken up by someone pounding on the door of her room. She opens the door to find Vector Glossian, A Superkid from Techno Kingdom, standing outside.

  642. "Late last night, mysterious thugs showed up at Techno Kingdom and tried to kidnap Queen Penelope. She managed to escape and, along with King Michael of Hero Kingdom, has gone into hiding", Vector explains, "I contacted the other 3 kingdoms and learned that Gideon, Darlia, and Ezekiel have all been taken hostage".

  644. Sally is alarmed to head that her boyfriend has been taken hostage. "How did they capture Ezekiel?" She asks.
  645.  
  646. "From what I heard, a strange coven of witches showed up in Spellbound Kingdom. They did something to Ezekiel that made him lose his powers, and then kidnapped him" Vector responds.
  647.  
  648. Sally takes out her cellphone and calls Nadia Crystal. "If anyone can tell us where Ezekiel and the others are, Nadia can", Sally suggests.
  649.  
  650. Over in Spellbound Kingdom, Nadia answers her ringing phone. After receiving Sally's request, Nadia consults her crystal ball for a few minutes, and then returns to her phone.
  651.  
  652. "Ezekiel is in Reineback Town, but I can't tell if any of the other kidnapped Superkids are there", The fortunetelling Superkid responds.
  653.  
  654. "I'll head over there and check it out", Sally decides.
  655.  
  656. "You won't be able to call me again for while. I'm going into hiding until these kidnappers are caught", Nadia explains, and then hangs up her phone.
  657.  
  658. Sally turns to Vector. "Let me get dressed and then we'll head over to Reineback Town and see what we can find", she explains. Vector Steps out of Sally's room and closes the door. Sally changes out of her nightgown and into a pink t-shirt, camouflage mini-skirt, and bright orange sneakers. She also ties her hair up in pigtails to make herself less recognizable. Sally and Vector head for the motel's front door and hear a ticking sound coming from the lobby. Upon examining the lobby, they find a box with wires of different colors wedged in-between two vending machines.

  660. "Bomb!" Sally exclaims. She and Vector bolt out the front door. Moments later, the motel is blown to smithereens. Sally notices the van from the Polymer Kingdom Mall is in the motel's parking lot. As some familiar figures emerge from it, Sally climbs onto the motorcycle she borrowed from Riley. Vector climbs on behind her and they zoom off, leaving the motel far behind.

  662. Sally and Vector keep riding down the road until they arrive in Reineback town. The two of them hunt around until they hear a bunch of cackling coming from an old abandoned tavern. Sally and Vector sneak into the tavern and quickly spot the coven of witches. They have Ezekiel tied to a post in the center of the room. The roof of the tavern is torn and full of holes. Sally and Vector try to sneak up to Ezekiel, but one of the witches sneaks up on them.

  664. "I've got you now", the witch sneers. Vector punches the witch in the face, buying Sally enough time to flee the tavern. The witches tie Vector up and toss him next to Ezekiel. A few seconds later, Sally sees smoke rising from the tavern. A helicopter appears and heads for the tavern. Sally figures whoever hired the witches sent the helicopter to pick up the hostages.

  666. "I've got to do something or Ezekiel and Vector will be taken to who knows where", Sally realizes. She notices what appears to be part of a basement on the other side of a deep crevasse. Recognizing it, she races over to the basement and opens a door that seemingly leads into the ground. She follow a passage which rises up, indicating that she's heading up into the mountains on the outside of town. She comes to another door which leads to a secret lab Darlia told her about. In this lab, there's a machine that can trigger different kinds of weather. Sally boots up the machine, and aims it at the tavern. The helicopter is hovering right above the tavern.

  668. "This better work". Sally says. She presses a button labelled "thunderstorm". Dark clouds form over the tavern and it starts raining. a bolt of light hits the helicopter, knocking it out of the sky. Sally rushes down the mountain and back to the tavern, her superspeed having finally returned. She sees a single witch fleeing the scene. Sally rushes into the tavern and unties Ezekiel and Vector. There are no witches in sight. Puddles of water are everywhere.

  670. "The people in that helicopter were here to take us to where ever the other kidnapped Superkids are. When it started raining, The helicopter got struck by lighting. The rain caused the witches to melt. One of them got away, though", Ezekiel explains.

  672. "I overheard the people in the chopper say something about Grandeur City. That may be where they are holding everyone", Vector adds.
  673.  
  674. "I have an uncle who lives in Grandeur City", Sally reveals, "Maybe he can help us". Sally rushes back up to the lab and presses the "sunny" button to end the thunderstorm. Sally and Vector ride on the motorcycle, while Ezekiel retrieves a broomstick from the tavern and rides on it. The three of them leave Reineback Town far behind and head northeast to Grandeur City.

  676. It's late in the evening when they arrive in Reineback town. Sally leads the way to her uncle's house. The front door is locked, but Sally knows there's a spare key hidden in a beehive in the front yard.

  678. "Aunt Delilah was a beekeeper. She was fatally stung one day. After the funeral, my uncle got rid of all the bees and beehives except one, which he kept to remember is wife by. There haven't been any bees in it for a while", Sally explains. She retrieves the key from the beehive and unlocks the front door. No one seems to be home. Sally, Vector, and Ezekiel make themselves at home.

  680. "Any idea where your uncle could be?", Ezekiel asks Sally.
  681.  
  682. "He's a private investigator", Sally explains, "With any luck, he's out investigating the kidnappings. If the kidnappers really are holding the hostages around this city somewhere, he'd be on the case". Since she often visits her uncle, Sally has a bedroom at his house. Ezekiel and Vector pull the hideaway bed out of the sleeper sofa in the living room, and sleep on it.

  684. The next morning, Sally's uncle still hasn't returned. Vector and Ezekiel wake up to find Sally already cooking breakfast. She's wearing a bright yellow shirt with a cat face on it, teal jean shorts, and boots.

  686. Vector ogles Sally for a few minutes, and the turns to Ezekiel. "Does your girlfriend always wear flirty outfits?", he teases. Ezekiel slaps him. The boys crawl out of the bed and fold it back into the sofa. Vector notices a picture of a woman who looks like a much older version of Sally standing atop the TV stand.

  688. "Is this your aunt?", He asks Sally.

  690. "No, that's my mother", Sally explains, "She abandoned me and my father when was 10. I haven't heard from her since".

  692. After breakfast Sally, Vector, and Ezekiel decide to split up and search the city. Sally notices a crowd out side the Grandeur City Clair's Boutique. As she approaches the store, Sally quickly figures out why it's drawing such a large crowd. Clair Donahue, the founder of Clair's Boutique, is signing autographs. Being a big fan of Clair, Sally can't resist a chance to get the celebrity's autograph. Clair quickly notices Sally and points her out to everyone.

  694. "Look everyone! It's one of the Superkids: Saladora Blitzer", Clair brags.

  696. "Please call me Sally. I hate it when people use my full name", Sally insists. Clair and Sally exchange autographs. Sally realizes that, being a well-known Superkid, she's as famous as Clair. Sally soon finds herself giving out autographs alongside Clair. Its several hours later when Ezekiel and Vector find Sally.

  698. "What are you doing here?" They both ask.

  700. "Signing autographs alongside Clair Donahue", Sally responds. She realizes she's lost track of time.

  702. "How long have I been here?" Sally asks.

  704. "It's been over four hours since we left your uncle's house", Ezekiel explains, "You were supposed to be looking for clues to where our kidnapped friends and their kidnappers are".

  706. "I heard the Clair's Boutique in Polymer Kingdom got broken into", Clair chimes in, "Witnesses say the men who broke into it didn't steal anything, but left with hostages".

  708. "They took my friends hostage", Sally fumes. Clair notices the worried look on Sally's face and offers a clue.

  710. "I saw several unmarked vans heading to an old warehouse down by the wharf. I can take you there in my car", Clair offers. With no one else approaching them for autographs, Clair leads Sally, Vector, and Ezekiel to where her car is parked. The four of them climb in and head down to the wharf. When they pull up to the warehouse, four muscular thugs surround the car. Vector leaps out of the car and shape-shifts into grizzly bear to attack the thugs. He knocks out two of them, only to have one of the other two zap him with the usual weapon, reverting him to his normal form.

  712. "I can't shape-shift anymore", he realizes. Clair pulls a shotgun out from under her seat and shoots the thug that zapped Vector, causing said thug to fall backward into the sea. She then fires on the other thug dropping him in an instant. Clair parks the car and every one gets out. Sally holds her sword at the ready. Ezekiel tries a few spells to make sure his powers have returned. Vector insists on holding the shrink ray, so he has a way to defend himself. Sally, Vector, Ezekiel, and Clair make their way into the warehouse. They find all of the kidnapped Superkids, along with Sally's uncle, in cages. Sally quickly slashes the locks off the cages. Gideon hugs Sally.

  714. "All of us are powerless right now", Gideon explains, "They kept zapping us to keep our powers from returning". Sally turns to her uncle.

  716. "Uncle Ritchie, we have been wondering what happened to you", Sally explains.
  717.  
  718. "I heard about the break-in at the Clair's Boutique in Polymer City, so I went to the one here in Grandeur City to try and find out more. I met Clair Donahue and she said the people who broke into the store in Polymer took hostages. She also told me she saw unmarked vans heading to this warehouse, so I cam here to investigate. The thugs outside got the drop on me and locked me in a cage", Uncle Ritchie reveals.

  720. "It's about time you showed up, Saladora", A women's voice calls out. Sally sees someone walking across the room towards her. A woman she hasn't seen since she was 10 years old: Charity Blitzer, her mother.

  722. "Mom?", Sally wonders, "What are you doing here?".
  723.  
  724. "It's simple really. I kidnapped your friends to get you to come to me. You never write to me. You never visit me. I figured you were too busy fighting crime with your friends to even think about me", Charity explains, "I figured my brother would eventually show up to investigate the kidnappings, so I had him taken hostage too". She points to Uncle Ritchie as she says this last bit.

  726. "What kind of mother kidnaps her daughter's friends just to get her daughter's attention?", Clair chimes in.
  727.  
  728. "You aren't a part of this discussion", Charity sneers. She pulls out a revolver and shoots Clair. Uncle Ritchie responds by removing his pistol from its holster and pointing it at Charity.
  729.  
  730. "Are you really gonna gun down your own sister, Ritchie?", Charity asks.
  731.  
  732. "Drop the gun sis. surrender peacefully and I wont have to", Uncle Ritchie demands.
  733.  
  734. "Mother, I couldn't contact you or visit you because YOU NEVER TOLD ME OR DAD WHERE YOU WERE LIVING", Sally yells. This causes Charity to think back.
  735.  
  736. "I left you and your father because I met another guy. Now looking back, I realize in my haste to leave with him, I may have forgotten to leave contact info", Charity reveals. The sound of blaring sirens is now audible outside the warehouse, and its getting louder.

  738. "I contacted the authorities", Uncle Ritchie confirms, "they are on their way here".
  739.  
  740. "Grab the girl and lets go", a rough-sounding male voice yells. A big beefy man walks up behind Charity.
  741.  
  742. "Meet Bernard", Charity announces, "My boyfriend". She then turns around to face Bernard.
  743.  
  744. "I've decided to let Sally decide if she wants to come with us", Charity reveals.
  745.  
  746. "After all the effort you put into bringing her here, she better come with us", Bernard snarls. Sally notices Bernard is holding a pistol.
  747.  
  748. "It's not right to force her to if she doesn't want to", Charity barks. The cops burst into the warehouse. Bernard begins to panic.
  749.  
  750. "If you aren't gonna stick with the plan, then I have no further use for you", Bernard declares. He turns his gun on Charity and fires twice. Next he turns to Sally, who is now crying nonstop at the sight of her dead mother. As Bernard prepares to shoot Sally, a gunshot rings out from somewhere else, and Bernard drops to the ground dead. Sally turns and notices her uncle facing the dead man, his pistol held aloft.

  752. "We have an ambulance here for Miss Donahue. Her gunshot wound isn't fatal. Wish I could say the same for Charity's", a police officer informs Uncle Ritchie. Sally is sitting next to her mother's body, still crying. Both Ezekiel and Vector try to comfort her.

  754. "I lost my parents during the Dragonian War, so I know what you are going through", Ezekiel assures her.
  755.  
  756. "My parents died earlier this year in a hurricane, So I also know", Vector adds. The coroner arrives to take Charity's body away. Sally manages to stand up and stop crying. Ezekiel tucks her right hand over his shoulder, while Vector tucks her left hand over his. Together, the three of them walk out of the warehouse together.

  758. About a week later, after Charity's funeral, Sally is at her uncle's house. Ezekiel and Vector are there with her. Uncle Ritchie is away, already working on a new case. Sally is still feeling down. Sally's current outfit is a complete mismatch, which is completely unlike her. Ezekiel tries kissing Sally to cheer her up. Vector vanishes and, a second later, Ezekiel sees a kitten jump up on the couch and curl up in Sally's lap.

  760. "Vector!", Ezekiel shouts. Then, he notices Sally start to cheer up as she strokes the kitten's fur. "On second thought", Ezekiel mutters to himself, and then walks away. If it makes Sally happy, he might as well let Vector win, just this once.
