  1. [06:57:55] Stepping inside library, Echo finds himself amazed by the fact just how many bookshelves seem to be out there. His eyes run from side to side, and an unintentional smirk creeps by the edge of his lips - perhaps it is the time he at last found more answers for his questions. Alas, the boy whom wielded the portion of magic due to natural talent - that is, the basics of it - still knew not much of his true potential. Now was the time better than any in order to do so, finding a moment of peace, both within and around him.
  2.
  3. His feet carefully and silently walked upon the carpet of the entrance, approaching one of the book shelves; though what he has been looking for was a specific book that could explain him the magic thoroughly, he had to go out of his way with the search and walk around for a while.
  4.
  5. Making his way to the second floor, he approached the book shelf nearby and searched across the book titles to find the book of his choosing. Scratching his chin inbetween, with his brows tugging together in a wonder, he wasn't certain which one to pick and had to stick to his gut feeling - although, he mostly found the books about Earth Magic and Water magic, which held no interest for him as of now.
  6.
  7. Pacing towards another bookshelf, he searched it through as well in hopes to fetch the proper book this time; a brief sigh escaped his lips in anticipation of this, assuming that he's yet much to learn and read.
  8.
  9. To his luck, he found what he was searching for - the book that held explanation for the magic and the inner strength that people possessed, the differences between affinity and raw talent. He picked it out in hopes for elaboration upon different magical techniques, though just before he turned, he thought - 'Why not get the others while I'm at it?' - and took a plentiful of books with himself.
  10.
  11. Echo began making his way to the table with a large amount of books in his hands.
  12. (Echo)
  13.
  14.
  15. [07:03:53] The first book of his choice was "The Fundaments of Magic Power", placing it upon the table with it's pages flipped open. A small caress was brushed up against his forehead and he blinked twice, adjusting himself on the seat as a preparation to read the book thoroughly. Resting his two elbows on the table, he shifted a bit closer and proceeded to read the book.
  16.
  17. His eyes were traversing every single letter of the book, studying it thoroughly to not miss out even the smallest details in there. After all, the task at hand he had was by no means an easy one - the attempt to tap into Lifestream and make his best to alter it, shape to his will and manipulate it. The mere thought of such feat had been leaving him excited, but at the same time a tad anxious - it was surely not easy at all, else everyone would be doing that, and he acknowledged that all too well.
  18.
  19. Engulfing himself in the silent atmosphere of the library, Echo spent significant amounts of time studying the book and comprehending it's each word. From time to time his expression would grimace upon imagination of how such feats are performed, but his determination and pride wouldn't let him just back off now, not at this point. The raw talent he felt within was too much to miss out, too much to just leave aside and forget.

  21.
  22.
  23. [07:12:25] While reading the book, Echo's lips curve, and a silent whisper escapes his lips - 'I already know this... and I've done it too...' - he said while gazing upon the pages that described Symbolic Magic. With a shake of head that signified a dismissal of such thought, his brash and prideful nature found the solace for a moment to bear with the fact that he still needs to go over this practice thoroughly and read it up. 'It's important, nonetheless.' - he thought, and proceeded to read it further.
  24.
  25. Though, despite the fact he already knew plenty about Symbolic Magic as novice-adept Magi, specific words were a new knowledge to him, such as ones that described why exactly the Symbolic Magic could draw upon the most mana. 'Useful technique.' - Echo uttered, and continued to read. But his read stopped upon the words of emotions that could be used to draw such magic - loathsome, anger, hatred. Were those really the most powerful emotions out there to draw upon for Symbolic Magic? After all, the peaceful people had never struck Echo as assertive folk, not the type that would achieve much by just staying behind and trying to leave their life in quiet. That wasn't the lifestyle he was looking forward to.
  26.
  27. But eventually, his gaze travered upon the chapter of Cognitive Magic. With another smile decorating his face, he uttered quietly - 'Now this is what I'm talking about' - and began studying the chapter through.

  29.
  30.
  31. [07:20:57] Reading through the chapter about Cognitive Magic, Echo pays attention to the specific line - 'It requires a user to have a strong psyche...' - he reads it out loud, with his gaze narrowing. Pondering over his past deeds, the recent battles he had been through despite the odds that suggested his defeat, he had no doubt in himself at this point. Self-assuring that he's more than capable of doing the Cognitive Magic, Echo continued to read it through.
  32.
  33. 'Those who had done Symbolic Magic will easily pass this chapter... perfect.' - he thought, with a smile resting upon his face. The anticipation of power, the use of his raw talent in this were driving him hype, almost turning the smile into excited grin. The youth dreamed of the day when he'd become an unrivaled opponent, one to become a famous Magi across the lands, one to master the Arts that are unavailable for the others. It was all a dream for now, sparked with determination and thirst for power - but is that not how the tales of greatest people in history go?
  34.
  35. Growing a tad impatient at this point, his eyes were jumping all across the page to search for the answers. He was finishing up the chapter, more than certain that he'd make this through easy - a clear testimony of the strong psyche that the youth held. After all, many give up before the hardships or if they see an obstacle for their goals, but Echo hadn't been like that.

  37.
  38.
  39. [07:34:36] At last, finallizing his studies with the Cognitive magic, he was repeating it in his mind and uttering it quietly under his breath: 'Calling... Concurrence and Occurence...' - boping his head to this, Echo took his time to acknowledge the techniques.
  40.
  41. Reading up the part about the Calling, he read through the vital part of such technique: 'To blot out one's mind and feel the pulsating.. hm...' - he uttered again, and continued his read. In his mind, he was already getting the picture on how it's done - to concentrate and blot out one's mind to a clear degree, to shape the circuit of mana and mind together and then visuallize your task, the part where sheer willpower comes to work.
  42.
  43. And he was right. Upon reading the parts about Concurrence and Occurence, his previous thought was confirmed - it is indeed how it works, it seems. The procession of mana is an important part of it, just like how clearing out one's mind from unecessary intervention is. And in the end, it is up to one's willpower to shape the task at hand and alter the reality.
  44.
  45. Acknowledging the necessary information he needed so far, Echo decided to repeat it under his breath once more, just to be sure of what he learnt so far - "Calling... Concurrence and Occurence.." - and with a nod to himself, he stood up.
  46.
  47. Now more confident than ever in his upcoming success, he made his way out of the library to make his first attempts to do the magic he intended to.
