  1. My neighbor was 9 years older than me and always had all the hot new games and systems in the mid to late 90s. I was 11 years old when Wave Race was released and beyond hype to give it a try. My parents didn't get me a console until Christmas so I was relegated to playing it at my neighbors until that sweet merry morning when I FINALLY played SM64 and my neighbor let me borrow Wave Race.

  3. My best friend at the time lived a ways away and we hung out as much as possible. The final week of Christmas break I brought my neighbors copy of Wave Race to his place and we went hard as hell for a few days. My buddy wanted to keep a hold of it for a few days so I left it at his house and went back to school high off the weekend of gaming.

  5. Flash forward a week and my neighbor has called my house looking for his copy of Wave Race. Unfortunately my mom talked to him so I didn't get a chance to explain the situation. She immediately jumped on me about giving him his game back. She had looked through my carts and couldn't find it. Being a young mom fearing man, I lied and told her it had falling behind the TV. Two days later and my neighbor rings again, demanding his game. My mom squeezed the truth out of me with threats of grounding, so off to my best friends place to get the cart.

  7. I forgot to mention my bff had a hot sister. Smoking hot. Stupid hot. She was in 8th grade, we were in 6th and she was the babe of the school. I got to his house and though no one was home. I went into the basement to quietly snag WR64 and there she was, running championship mode in a crop top and her underwear. I froze. I had to tell this babe I was taking the game. After a short explanation, a tuck into the waistband, and a removal of the cart, I was off with my neighbors games and an image burned into my eyelids.

  9. That's basically it. Dem got his game back and I learned the valuable lesson of not letting others borrow what isn't yours. Thanks Wave Race.
