- 1912: Kasukabe is founded as a mining town off the coast of the eastern shore. The town was built to house the miners of the coal and mineral mines.
- 1912: Shortly after starting the mine, dinosaur fossils were discovered. Rather than sell them off, the owner of the mines partnered with the mayor to start an exhibit for them to bring tourists into town, which would bring in more profits.
- 1913: The train tracks leading to Kasukabe are finished.
- 1915: The Kasukabe Museum is founded on the edge of town near the entrance, built with the funds from the fossil exhibits.
- 1939: Kasukabe reaches a population of 2,760.
- 1977: A fire breaks out in the Kasukabe Mines. In an attempt to subdue the fire, 132 miners, firemen, and civilians were killed in a mine-in. 132 respective Haniwa were thrown into the sinkhole that was a section of the mine in mourning.
- 1979: After a boy nearly fell into a sinkhole due to the mine fire that was virtually unable to be put out, the mayor has declared Kasukabe unlivable and forced an evacuation.
- 1980: Only 12 people remain in Kasukabe.
- 1989: Most of Kasukabe is demolished, save for a few buildings, namely the Museum, Mayor's Office, and a few houses which were still inhabited.
- 1992: Stores begin opening near the Kasukabe Museum in hopes to gain revenue from the tourists. The stores are not successful and most shut down very shortly after opening.
- 1999: Kasukabe is declared safe and inhabitable, citizenship is open again.
- 2013: People begin to move into Kasukabe again. However, due to no mine and no other attractions besides the Museum, it is nowhere near as successful as it once was, and only a handfull of people move in.
- 2077: Ash Ketchum is born.
