It's also one of the safest places online, with one of the most experienced and educated user bases, for people to find refuge when they don't feel comfortable anywhere else. If anyone shows indications of overdoing it or needing help, we respond accordingly. But we don't step in and try to stop other grown adults from using their substance of choice, that would do nothing but turn them away to other, less helpful, corners of the internet. Your brother was a fellow beloved member of our staff team, and we visited regularly. I can truthfully say that on our end, we noticed nothing out of the ordinary. If we had, we would have done our part to reach out to him. This has been a very sad time for us, he did indeed have many friends here.
