  1. >Lana's mud ball was perfectly formed, an impeccable sphere of sludge, grime, muck, and assorted soiling materials.
  2. >The target she painted on the fence (also in mud) would have made a glorious mess all over the backyard if she hit the bullseye.
  3. >Too bad the actual target was Lori's phone.
  4. >With the cool, calm, and collected demeanor of a sniper on the battlefield, Lana entered a quasi-baseball stance, and let loose.
  5. >The ball ripped Lori's phone straight from her hands, bounced on the grass, and slammed into the fence.
  6. >"LANAAAAAAAAAAA!"
  7. >The video recording began to shake all over the place as Lana began to run away, laughing all the while.
  8. >Lana, being bedridden with innumerable injuries, laughed at her new phone.
  9. >This was worth the black eyes she had.
  10. >Lola was less than happy.
  11. >It was 10 pm!
  12. >There were important playdates and tea parties she had to attend tomorrow!
  13. >And Lana wouldn't shut up and go. to. sleep!
  14. >Lola decided that she had enough.
  15. >Slowly sneaking out of bed, Lola began to creep her way downstairs and outside.
  16. >In the backyard, Lana's mudpit lay dormant.
  17. >A clean, manicured hand scrunched up an amateurish ball of mud.
  18. >Lola stole her way back upstairs.
  19. >Not caring how loud she was, Lola ran her way back into her room.
  20. >"Go to sleep, Lana!"
  21. >Lola threw her hastily-formed mudball at Lana.
  22. Spwork.
  23. >Lana's face was covered in her favorite material that wasn't used to burn things.
  24. >"Hey! What's your problem, you jerk!"
  25. >Lana grabbed a handful from her hidden mud bucket and threw it at Lola.
  26. Splerk.
  27. >Lola's brand-new pajamas were covered in... oh god.
  28. >Lola's brain couldn't even comprehend it.
  29. >All that remained was undiluted rage as she tackled Lana and the two began to wrestle.
  30. >Lynn Sr. turned on the light.
  31. >The entire room was covered in mud, grime, and slime.
  32. >Half-blinded by the brightness of the light, Lynn Sr. sighed.
  33. >But underneath the horrible mess was a beaming Lana and a not-as-angry Lola.
  34. >"Dad! Lola's finally seen the way!"
