I find the claims that this is about roleplay to be fairly questionable, and the claims that Oloth wouldn't have been targeted to be highly suspicious. You're certainly right that this isn't about a desire for PvP, though. What it is, is an OOC tantrum that has been allowed to go on for way too long.

The leader of your faction, Lyria_Du_Lac, has had a rather intense hatred of Scarface for a very long time. An entirely OOC hatred of Scarface. I am not in the habit of screenshotting every private conversation I have just so I can pull it out later and throw it in people's faces, but I spent a little time reviewing the last couple of conversations I had with Lyria on Discord, and I put together a little collage with some of the highlights. I think they do a reasonable job of showing that she's got something of an OOC chip on her shoulder when it comes to him.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with disliking someone. Everyone's entitled to their opinions about others. But since you made a point to stress that this was about roleplay, I think it should be put out in the open that Lyria_Du_Lac has also gone on for months about how she has OOC friends who are big on PvP, and that she has the power to sic them on her enemies by asking them OOC for help. Here are just a few highlights, from back when she considered AMuse and the folks at what is now Hollow Cove to be her 'primary target.'

Here's her volunteering OOC to have Prestige OOC harass a player if that player should attack me (this, of course, was back when she liked me).

And here she claims that because she's OOC friends with him, "no one is allowed to gank her."

Naturally, this was from when her concerns were in Darkmist, but clearly the principle is the same. "I can get OOC friends to show up and fight my battles for me."

Honestly, there's more than this, and, unfortunately, some of the more explicit threats she made were not done via Discord, and so I don't have them. But there's one more that I think is especially telling:

Here we have the leader of the Aztika faction, months before the Aztika faction was even formed, stating OOC that she intends to go start a war in Oloth, because she can't force a player she dislikes to leave Darkmist.


So, if you ask me, it's pretty clear that this isn't and has never been about a desire for roleplay or PvP play. This is one person's vendetta being played out in a way that has resulted in the harassment of players across all the Sinfar servers now. When Scarface applied for a magic license in Darkmist, I insisted that the council had to treat them the same as anyone else. Lyria threw an OOC fit, and refused to even allow it to be considered, threatening OOC'ly to call on her OOC friends to PvP me into submission if I didn't vote the way she wanted, just like all the times she brought it up in the screenshots above. She and her pals started griefing me everywhere I went (as per the definition in the server rules, "This is when a player decides to take revenge on another player through PvP. It is an OOC engagement guised as RP."). When that didn't work, they started griefing other people I played with. It was only when that didn't work that the entire gang decided to set up camp in Arche Terre. And what do they do? Why, they find an excuse to go pick a fight with Scarface, dressing it up as roleplay all the while.

Heck, you guys even pre-hostiled the werewolves and the drow, before any RP had been done, and Ghengra had to rein you in. From the looks of things, it took you less than three days to manufacture an excuse for hostilities. For that matter, the character you're supposedly roleplaying as, Michael Davencourt, isn't even your character. This is Michael Davencourt. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that all of this is just a very thinly-veiled excuse to allow you to pursue a purely OOC vendetta. You can call that RP all you want, but as I pointed out above, the server rules refer to it as griefing.


Finally, I just want to address one other thing mentioned in this thread:

    For my part, I thought that DarkMist would have been implanted on AT that if the test became a success but I had to misunderstand, it seems that our little haven of peace is becoming a giant CTF field that we like or not.

    So my only move for now is to ignore Darkmist's rp and pvp in Archeterre and continue the rolepaly and our current events hoping to become a social faction in the next few days, because the fun and well-being to be players investing is my priority.


These people do not represent Darkmist. I understand that it's a convenient way of referring to the group, but please understand that most of the people involved here have little to no history in Darkmist, and only ever showed up there when they wanted to stir up trouble, just like they're doing in Arche Terre now. Darkmist has good quality roleplayers, and it used to have a lot more. The Darkmist community was victimized by these guys just as much as you all are being right now.
