- Since there have been topics about duals, here are some common dual values (statements of duals tend to agree/disagree with both), adapted by me from Talanov/Danidin's VK posts with some of his (and mine) comments. I tried to decrease the influence of aristo/democratism here (although it's still present).
- In general, duals are not particularly similar people, as to be expected. Perhaps only the conflictors are more distant in their traits. People with weakly expressed quadra values (but with, e.g., highly expressed NT-NF-ST-SF club "values") may not find any of these to be particularly resonant.
- LII/ESE:
- YES:
- It is difficult for me to refuse a person's request and difficult for a subordinate to do his job properly.
- My problem is that I do not know how to dissemble.
- Exploring something, even if it is only partly familiar, always captivates me with joy and pleasant sensations
- My heart almost always starts beating faster from surprises.
- NO:
- Sometimes I like to see other people's fear.
- Sometimes I conduct "secret" experiments with people I know, checking their reaction in situations I have deliberately created.
- I am attracted to situations that excite my nerves with mild fear.
- Sometimes I had fun by deliberately exploiting other people's kind attitude towards me.
- After the first ten minutes of the teacher's lecture, my attention began to wander, and I often began to feel an irresistible drowsiness.
- I like to act with aggression, force, and threat.
- This dyad is distinguished by the values of knowledge and their encouragement in themselves and others, in an idealistic view of society (a sense of one's emotional involvement in what is happening to humanity as a whole), in a preference for sincerity in communication, an inability and unwillingness to intrigue, and an absence of lust for power.
- ILE/SEI:
- YES:
- I do not like those for whom everything is completely clear and definite - this is alien to me.
- I often occupy myself with some nonsense, even if it has no practical value, but is funny.
- I have many "childish" interests: I still read many children's books and fairy tales with pleasure, if I come across them.
- I am often late for some event, or I rush all the way to make it at the last minute.
- NO:
- Key words that are very important to me: pays off or doesn't pay off, profitable-unprofitable, expedient-unexpedient.
- The work of a commercial director would suit me better than the work of a freelance artist.
- I am scrupulous and uncompromising and am an active, passionate, businesslike and quarrelsome fighter for order, quality, strict adherence to rules.
- I usually have a "cold" look.
- I would be ashamed if all my colleagues at work drove newer car models, and I drove an older model of this car.
- I know how to demand respect for myself, to be and seem significant, to always behave with the required solidity.
- This dyad is similar to the previous one, but replaces a very high rational responsibility with carelessness. The value of Ne is quite clearly visible (SEI is the leader among sensors in the average strength of this function).
- SLE/IEI:
- YES:
- I would enjoy riding a motorcycle or a racing car at top speed.
- I often place high-risk bets in life and in games, as if waving my hand - oh, come what may!
- I am attracted to situations that excite my nerves with a slight fear.
- I like bohemian companies with their risky entertainment and the new unusual sensations they promise.
- Facts are only needed as arguments to achieve a goal, and if necessary, they can be slightly rigged.
- NO:
- I would make a good specialist in comfortable arrangement of workplaces.
- Compared to others, I am a very peace-loving person, alien even to thoughts of violence.
- I always want to pull up other people who are lagging behind me to my level.
- I like precision in everything, and even when I joke, I almost always explain to the person what I meant.
- I would prefer to change any social structure quietly and gradually, rather than radically.
- Most IEIs will find that the values of the previous dyad can suit them to some extent. And in this dyad, it can be said that its values are built around the theme of a teenage rebellion against the rules of the surrounding society, with the goal of proving one's "coolness" and one's right to a better place under the sun.
- LSI/EIE:
- YES:
- I like rigid structures that do not allow any changes within their framework.
- A victorious war is better than a bad peace.
- I am usually more zealous than my colleagues about the accuracy of terminology - if something is called exactly that, then it must fully correspond to it.
- I often use the words "no", "never", "for no reason", "under no circumstances", "under no circumstances" in my speech.
- I always feel like I am part of a larger human whole - a nation, a social group, a collective.
- NO:
- I go with the flow of life, I live its pleasant surprises, without making plans.
- As a politician, I would push for the abolition of all kinds of unnecessary prohibitions and limitations.
- I try and usually know how to always behave on an equal footing with any people - regardless of the position they occupy relative to me.
- I love surprises.
- There are no sharp angles or rough, protruding features on my face - everything is nice and streamlined.
- This dyad takes most of the negative features of the secondary socionic feature "aristocracy" - I softened some radical formulations, but there is still a low percentage of agreement in the socion as a whole with most of the formulations of the affected properties. The qualities refer to the dynamics where LSI creates a bureaucratic structure as a social element, and EIE imbues this structure with an ideology.
- SEE/ILI:
- YES:
- I willingly seek out and quickly see all the "weak spots" in the character and life of any person with whom I communicate even briefly.
- As a politician, I would push for the abolition of all kinds of unnecessary prohibitions and restrictions.
- I usually don't care about any irregularities unless it is proven that they will have a bad effect on the result I need.
- In a situation of being pressured, I know how to please someone who is currently strong, and I can also step over my previous views and be insincere for this (because I believe that stubbornness in such a situation is not valor, but stupidity).
- I am little dependent on the state of others and often remain calm, even if everyone around me is worried.
- NO:
- I can easily imagine my self-sacrifice in the name of some holy idea.
- More than others, I profess collectivism and the principle of "one for all, all for one".
- I have always been more concerned with public interests than with personal ones.
- I easily respond to requests to do something around the house.
- Compared to my acquaintances, I am more of an altruist by nature, almost always ready to share, trying to help and respecting other people's interests.
- The semantic core of such values is individualism with a distinctly egoistic flavor. The difference between this and ILE/SEI here is that the Gammian dyad always keeps personal mercantile interest in mind, while the Alphas often act from naive idealistic motives.
- ESI/LIE:
- YES:
- I am demanding of myself and others, I work very hard and despise lazy people.
- I value concreteness and practicality more than the ability to reason abstractly.
- Practical benefit is more important than any perfect motionless beauty.
- NO:
- The saying "don't put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow" is closer to me than the saying "don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today".
- I passively look at worldly vanity and philosophize, like in sleep.
- Sometimes fools get angry because I'm late or haven't come at all.
- It often happens that it's very difficult for me to tear myself away from the game I've started, although more important things are waiting.
- It's often difficult for me to mobilize myself and concentrate on completing some important task.
- Many problems can be solved with violence
- A walking Protestant ethic. The semantic core is attaching value to the personal future and workaholism. Despite the "central" features, this couple does not particularly like the pathos of physical confrontation. The "pragmatic" questions reflect LIE as the most practical intuitive.
- IEE/SLI:
- YES:
- I don't like to force myself, to put myself within the framework of some plans or schedules.
- The saying "don't put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after" is closer to me than the saying "don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today".
- I like professions where there is no long-term responsibility: the day has passed, the job is done, and that's it.
- An atmosphere of fear and penalties discourages me from learning anything for a long time.
- I need frequent distractions and breaks in my studies, otherwise everything quickly becomes boring.
- For me, time is more of a small interval around the present than a long stretch.
- NO:
- I plan and "schedule" my life for years to come (or did so in my youth).
- I would like a job where I have to keep various critical deadlines in mind all the time and sort tasks by urgency and importance.
- I often think about the shortcomings of legislation and existing rules and regulations.
- I am often tenacious and persistent in communication - I absolutely need to "dot the i's and cross the t's".
- The most "hakuna matata" pair. Instead of anticipating the future, planning it and maintaining oneself in a state of constant mobilization in order to direct the course of events into a controlled channel (which brings calm to rationals of the third quadra), irrationals of the fourth quadra find self-soothing in a complete rejection of anticipation and planning.
- EII/LSE:
- YES:
- I always feel responsible for other people.
- I am hardworking, I like to be loaded with the work assigned to me.
- I easily respond to requests to do something around the house.
- I have a strong need to take care of and protect loved ones (perhaps it is more developed than in others).
- NO:
- I live by the principle: I don’t owe anyone, and no one owes me anything.
- Sometimes I like to make fun of some people.
- People close to me sometimes reproached me for posing and egocentrism.
- If I can’t do something, stressing me out with it, then I can often quit my job and say: -...Screw you!
- I am usually indifferent to everything.
- Common features - a high degree of personal responsibility for others (specific close people in particular), social "correctness" and seriousness - a willingness to be restrained and hardworking in maintaining the balance of interests that has developed in society. Both this and Beta rational dyad share a certain conservative "preservation" mindset, even if their approach differs.
