  1. Writing Task #13 (narrative)
  2.
  3. There I was, in the place I had my honeymoon twenty years on, the year is 2050 and the place I knew and bathed in its sun, water and beauty alike, now there is plastic as wide as the eye can see. Everyone used to see the world’s death from pollution as a slow one, but if you can’t really see the true damage we will highly likely ignore our involvement and in what seems like overnight, our planet has died although it has been ruined by pollution over the last couple generations. What happened you ask? Let me take on the tale of my life.

  5. When I was but a young child I was rather introverted, I had several friends throughout primary but I never did anything away from my normal routine. I just kinda went to school and didn’t say much but when I got home my personality was flipped on its face. When I got into high school I lost a lot of my friends because of their different schools and new personalities, I found it challenging to find new friends and because of this, my introverted personality was contrasted from the others more and more. Throughout my schooling, I had one friend who I could rely on to stay by side, Roman. I met Roman in prep and although I didn’t know it, I would soon find out how much of a friend he was. I left high school with a minimum wage job and $2400 cash and, you guessed it, my good friend Roman.

  7. The start of the university was challenging but a lot better for me as people had developed a lot as a group and although there were still douches, a lot of people were open and helped me be able to be who I truly am and still not feel socially isolated. I learned a lot and found getting to have a larger say in what I spend my precious time learning on is a rather remarkable feeling. Roman was in several of my classes as he was a very unique friend, and because of his similarities, I spent even more time with him. During the end of the second year of university I met my wife, but at the time, first girlfriend. Because of my attentiveness to maintain a strict schedule, every morning I would buy a coffee on my walk to school and I would always catch the bus 15 minutes to work in which one of my fellow chem students took. Her name was Rose. After a month of my strict bus schedule, I decided I would talk to her, my first conversation with her went well, she had a cute small poodle and was very interested in chemistry and hoped to become a doctor. Well, one conversation turned to two, to twenty and soon each morning we would talk before my challenging day of uni. I soon asked her out and she accepted, filled with relief I liked her too.

  9. Soon Rose got a masters degree in chemistry and I had bachelors in general cooking. We both got and maintained promising jobs and at the age of twenty-five, bought a modest house. Got married the next year, then went on an amazing honeymoon to Hawaii and despite its extreme hype in the media, did not let us down. I had a great time and I really needed a breath of fresh air after taking up my job as a talented chef.

  11. I came back to the beautiful bays of Hawaii to be filled with horror and shock, the place I had once cherished as a beautiful place I spent a great time with my wife had now been trashed. There was plastic everywhere in the oceans, absolutely everywhere.
