  1. Groaning, you looked up at the sky. Something had happened last night, something big. Now if only you could remember it!
  2.
  3. "WARGBRGALEBRGBLEGAAAAAH!"
  4.
  5. As a wave washed over you and tried to spin you like a defunct washing machine, your memory kicked into overdrive. Last night, at about two PM, the yacht you were on had strayed off it's course due to an issue on the bridge. Ten minutes later, you'd hit the one solitary giant rock in the area, tearing the boat open like a tin can, and dumping you on the island you now inhabited. What you could remember outside of the academics was you'd been napping, there was a godawful crash and screaming, and as you made your way to the top of the boat it had tried to flip.
  6.
  7. You hoped everyone had made it out. Until you could confirm, though, you were stuck on a beach next to a rather thick jungle, covered in heavy trees and brush. Shaking your head, you drug your foot to make a cross on the beach where you were, and started moving around the island. You needed water, food, and shelter in that order; and that meant hopefully finding a river. If you were lucky, it would even be a clean river.
  8.
  9. Naturally, the island decided to piss on this by making you walk for the better part of two hours, and traversing what (you thought) was about a quarter of the island's perimiter. Along the way, the jungle was as thick as ever, while you were just getting tired. Sitting down and sighing, you looked out to the open ocean, feeling the sea breeze ruffle your hair.
  10.
  11. "God, am I in the shitter." you muttered, in despair.
  12.
  13. "Yep." replied a voice to your right and rear. Turning, you saw a young woman, *easily* nine out of ten for looks and with a set of tall bobcat ears on her head. Almost as striking as her lack of clothing was her lack of modesty as she grinned at you, looking for all the world like a woman with a winning lotto ticket.
  14.
  15. "The fuck?" you muttered, crawling up to poke her gently. She was real!
  16.
  17. "Well, no, thank you." the catgirl replied, poking you. "Name's Kilo."
  18.
  19. Your mind did several rather annoying loop-de-loops before it placed the name.
  20.
  21. "You're the ship's cat!" you yelled.
  22.
  23. "Give the boy a Kewpie doll..." she muttered. "So, in the intrest of not dying, want to work together?"
  24.
  25. "Sure." You said, nodding. "So... you're a cat. And a girl. How?"
  26.
  27. A snort answered you. "Well, you see, when an island in the Southeast Pacific is literally dripping with fucking magic energy, weird shit happens like this. Since I'm a girl and you're not a glowing green pile of thoughts shoved in a pale meat-puppet holding a deck of cards, we can presume something's regulating this, probably a collection of nature spirits which you will have to barter a commodety with to get things."
  28.
  29. You raised an eyebrow at the catgirl. "So... what do I have for commodeties?"
  30.
  31. "Sex."
  32.
  33. You sputtered, looking down. "WHAT?"
  34.
  35. "You're gonna have to fuck 'em, probably. Mostly fucking, some seduction, some being not a dick, some being human company... it depends. Good news, they *should* all be girls."
  36.
  37. You blanched. "Well... ummmm... okay? So how do I do this?"
  38.
  39. "Well, I can sorta-kinda track them, and once you make contact the geography of the island should get to be more forgiving. Probably. Gotta remember, this place has a tenuous hold on reality, or else I'd be a talking cat or something."
  40.
  41. "Right. So, what's on the radar?"
  42.
  43. Kilo grinned. "Well, there's one that smells like Water; she's not gonna be too hard to get to. There's a Wood one somewhere around here too, that aught to help. An Iron might be in the vicinity, I can't tell so good until we poke around some. Might not want to try the Fire spirit yet; she's punting around over the water right now which means swimming."
  44.
  45. Raising an eyebrow, you asked a question. "Aren't the four elements Earth, Air, Water, and Fire?"
  46.
  47. "Sorta-kinda. This part of the world, it's Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Wood, and Iron mostly. Might see some exotic spirits too; I don't know."
  48.
  49. You poondered on this, internalizing it before nodding.
  50.
  51. "Well, Chief, you're picking the goal here- after all, you're the one sweet-talking your way into her bed!"
