  1. A Traveler's Tale RP
  2.
  3. MONSTER BOOK: http://pastebin.com/Vjkjnjw2
  4. JOURNAL/DROP LOGS: http://pastebin.com/EhC5uRK6
  5. NOTICE: With the RPINC forming, input from the perspective of the RPINC will NOT be considered for this RP.
  6.
  7. Plot:
  8. Did you hear about them? Who are they? Where did they come from?
  9.
  10. Well, my friend, that happens to be the story tonight. I'm going to tell a story passed by merchants and travelers, and is only kept alive by the spirit of adventure within each and every one of them. Nobody quite knows the name of this story anymore, so most people call it 'The Traveler's Tale" It took place long ago in a universe called Eccentra (How to pronounce: Ek cent ra) that was once thrown into chaos... ...Nobody knows how it ends, because that's been lost as the tale is passed down... One day, I hope to find out how it really happened...
  11.
  12. What if it never happened?
  13.
  14. Then I guess I'll be chasing it until I die...
  15.
  16. How it starts:
  17. The story starts in Karina's Kitsune Village, as Karina is NOT a main character in this RP, but more or less, the base of operations.
  18.
  19. Main Characters are not allowed OP Bullshit at the start, unless they are a NON COMBAT Role. As such, Hitokage Tamashi(God of Gods) Could use his Kamigan for identifying a weapon or something, but if it helps out at all during combat, it is banned until permission is granted. Long story short, if you're OP at the start, you can't fight.
  20.
  21. Character Sheets
  22.
  23. Name: First and Last please.
  24. Age: Something reasonable. 10-100 sounds fine.
  25. Personality:
  26. Appearence:
  27. Primary Weapon: You'll get more as the RP commences. No dual weapons.
  28. Support 1: This can be something like summoning something for a brief attack, or a form change. If you use a form change, you are not permitted to create an alternate ability set.
  29. Ability 1:
  30. Ability 2:
  31. Ability 3:
  32. Passive Ability 1: This can be like a permanent buff. It cannot enable more abilities, but may provide a single immunity
  33. Preferred Drops 1: What kind of drops would you like to have for your character
  34. Preferred Drops 2: If that's not possible, what else would you like?
  35. Preferred Drops 3: If all else fails, list something else that you want.
  36.
  37. Why are there so many limits? This is because you're not supposed to be god at the start of the game. This isn't Devil May Cry. You will unlock more slots as the RP continues. How you use your abilities is up to you entirely. Why do I wanna know what you get from drops? People are known for complaining about shitty drops, I'm no exception. So I wanna know how I can attempt to change how bad of the drops of the drops are.
  38.
  39. You also will NOT know what a weapon is until you get it identified. To get it Identified, PM me.
  40.
  41. Abilities must be accurate and not enable another ability. They also must not be broad enough to include more than one ability.
  42. To Hitokage: Your Kamigan will not be permitted until later.
  43. To Doku: If you insist on using your snake heads, you will be required to unlock them as the RP continues.
  44.
  45.
  46. OH, keep something to record your drops on, please.
  47. HOPEFULLY ORIGINAL UNORIGINAL IDEAS
  48.
  49. Summoning: Along with the drops you guys want, I plan to throw in scrolls that allow a character to summon an older character to their aid in combat. I really do hope you'll allow your characters to be summoned like this. I'll start off the list.

  67. Boss Battles
  68. In this RP, Boss Battles are meant to be take on in teams of 3(and a sub.) That's right. This is to prevent people from getting confused, as well as to make boss fights easier to focus on for the boss. The rules for this are as follows.
  69. 1. Here's how Boss Teams will work: 3 Members, 1 Substitute(If available.) Any member on the boss party may swap out with the sub. The Sub is auto swapped if somebody on the boss party loses.
  70. 2. If 3 Party Members lose, the last surviving party member gets a special 'Game Over' Scene, and is lost from the next 3 bosses.
  71. 3. Do not be afraid to lose, your character will never be killed in this RP, unless somebody leads a plot line in which somebody dies. You cannot die in a boss battle unless a death is plot required.
  72. 4. If you fail a boss, you will not get those drops, however, you will receive EVERY Drop on the list.
  73. 5. If you do fail the boss, you will get a rematch later in the RP.
  74. 6. IF you do fail the rematch, you forfeit the drops from that boss.

  383. Desc: A traditional Japanese village that seems to appear out of nowhere. It bears home to the kitsunes, as well as quite a few other creatures. This is a starting point and contains quite a few shops. and facilities to your advantage. There's also quite a bit of bars and recreational facilities here too, it seems the foxes enjoy life to it's fullest, though how such a village is not on a map is beyond comprehension. Contains Stores, Inn, Brewery. It also seems to be on each continent, despite the common rules of physics.

  401. Special: When you reach the top, you unlock "The Great Sky" World for you to explore.

  403. Great Plainsland
  404. Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRHoPxAfy_Q
  405. Desc: Just a wide open place. Plenty of Grass, and open land to explore. Pretty skies, rolling hills, a few flowers here and there, a rock or two, it's the perfect place to go on a stroll.
  406.
  407. The Forest of Corruption
  408. Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QAMI4GIu84
  409. Desc: What the hell? Why are the trees purple? Anyways, weird freaky trees, and a strange 3 foot thick brick border around the forest obviously mean that this 'Corruption' spreads, so I should do my best to not smash the bricks. Deep within, there is said to be a shrine damaged by decades of corruption because nobody wants to step into the corruption. Makes sense, I guess.
  410.
  411. Snowy Plains
  412. Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCSagyF9rlA
  413. Desc: A plainsland covered in snow. Nothing here but a few houses, a tree or two, and quite a bit of snow to play around in during the day. Personally, I'd love to go to this world for a vacation. It's so nice and perfect, unlike our world here. It's pretty fucked up around here. Anyways, If you like hunting, you can hunt reindeer here, as well as some rabbits if you enjoy meat.
  414.
  415. Eastern Jungle
  416. Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HMLDzZXcHE
  417. Desc: What world is complete without the typical jungle? I mean, honestly, I almost didn't want a Jungle, but the Tutorial boss begged me for a jungle, so alas, I gave you guys a jungle. This place is thick, and crawling with beasts you could only find in a jungle. It's like a rain forest. Thick, smells weird, and rains every evening. It's almost always hot and humid, so it's like going to hell, or living near a river during the summer without a boat.
  418.
  419. Empty Mountains.
  420. Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7J9Ebqv7Q8
  421. Desc: There's a legend of a man who had forgot about a woman here, and the woman waited for him to return, only to end up dying here. It's not quite bad if you take the main path, but if you attempt to visit the shrine nestled deep with in the mountains, expect many encounters with the hoardes of creatures that live here. If you go at night, you may expect to see the ghost of the forgotten woman.
  422.
  423. Eternal Desert
  424. Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWcvk9C0Yfg
  425. Desc: It's so hot... and there's so much of it... Why is there so much desert here... It's so strange... Anyways, the only reason people even go here is to investigate rumors of a little girl just wandering the area. Strange, don't you think? Why would a little girl be wandering around out in the desert in the first place? Eh, as long as your properly equipped you could reach the otherside of the desert, and find the Heavenly Tower, or find the opposite deep within the desert, being the Stairway to Hell.

  429. Night Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foJ9K6ZT_Fo
  430. Desc: They say you can see things in the snow, but that, is utter crap for the most part. During the Day, it's just a pleasant stroll through a snow covered forest. Who cares if it's cold, it's a nice kind of cold. Not incredibly cold, but not hot enough for it to melt away. It's just fine for cold loving people. Though, despite it's pleasant day atmosphere, it turns into a hunting grounds for the nearby wolves(HAHAHAHA, are you expecting normal wolves? Well, you get a mix between those people with wolf tails and shit and normal wolves, but no Twilight crap.) For some reason, the foxes and wolves seem to get along well in this world, though, some members of both species can attack each other viciously, though, this occurs when some drink a little too much.

The housing isn't very impressive, but they have access to a brewery for those of you who like making potions and poisons, as well as just a place to get some interesting liquor. If you're hungry, you can always get some of the village special, some steamed blue crab with some great sauces to go with it.

It's rather cold everywhere, but honestly, the residents don't care, it means the beer gets to them faster. Anyways, there are some ice sports here for you to play with, along with a godly snowcone place to get the best snowcones at. During the summer, it's still snowing, but not as much as usual. It's more of a nice snow. During the winter however, this place is fucking hell to go to.

  468. Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdqgNyHK4TE
  469. Desc: A Tower that seems like you walked into heaven, though you didn't actually go there. It's meant to be a resting place for those who cross the desert, though in the upper levels, it turns into a more fortress like thing, seeing as there are some angels in there. Why are they in the middle of a tower, within a massive desert? Beats me, though, the counterpart isn't far from here.

Empty Towns, a Mansion, but the further in you go, the more hellish it becomes. At the very bottom, there is said to be a creature capable of forming Nuclear Fusion, along with crippling heat. However, this is just a simple legend... Or is it? Hell if I know.

How do we know if this ground we're clearly standing on is even solid? Anyways, the place seems to be in some sort of spacial rift between two separate planes of reality. Though, I feel a more powerful energy source at a different point on the spire before Takara. Perhaps we should investigate the point first?
