Name: Crystallite Pony

Race: Geminite. Every once in a while, a collection of gems will gain sentience, and begin to absorb the gems around it. They start as little pockets of gems, the gems molding into one as if they were melted and then allowed to cool(I know that wouldn't actually work but you get my point). Then, they go out and absorb other gems, and they typically take the form of the first life form they meet. However, some have been known to never meet a life form for a long time in their life span, so they just go with whatever they decide is cool. They eat gems. They are able to, when they absorb gems, either use them to just increase their density, or to increase their volume.

Age: 27

Appearance: Crystallite is mostly different shades of blue and green gems, so those are the shades of his body. Beyond that, and the shine that is caused by light whenever light is shined on him, he looks normal. He has two rubies for eyes. He stands at 5'8, deciding to go with the more dense side of things. Because of this, if you get into a fight with him, he hits like a cement block.

Personality: He is mostly just interested in making himself bigger/better, as well as, eventually, escaping. He is nice enough, but not unwilling to beat the shit out of somebody. He is also VERY prone to playing pranks.

Equipment: Nothing else besides what's below.

Nanosuit: A suit designed to let you live in harsh conditions. True to its name, the nanosuit uses tiny robots that react to the conditions around to to allow you to not die. This includes:

Oxygen: Basic life support. Nanomachines essentially act like a shit ton of baby trees by taking your carbon dioxide and turning it straight back to oxygen for you. You're breathing the same suit full of air for the rest of your life. VOID BECAUSE GEM BEING.

Trauma: NANOMACHINES, SON. Nanomachines react to physical force placed upon it, hardening and mitigating damage dealt to the wearer. This allows miners to deal with things like falling rocks. Unfortunately, they aren't really state of the art, meaning while they harden, they won't make you able to lift anything that easily. A common prank on your lovely little camp is 'locking', which is essentially dropping a giant rock on someones ass and forcing their suit to harden, preventing them from moving until someone removes the rock from their body.

The physical trauma your nanosuit can withstand is quite a bit. High-calibur guns or plasma will fuck you over though. Just ask the guys that tried messing with the guards in the sniper tower.

Tl;Dr you have a fullbody hard hat that only works for falling rocks. It also locks down if a rock falls on you, which kinda sucks.

Customization: Nanosuits are able to be customized very easily, allowing the wearer to add features they desire. Needless to say you poor bastards don't really get to customize your nanosuits unless its for a specific job.




Background: Crystallite doesn't really have a background. He was born on this space rock, and this space rock is where he has remained. He has gotten quite a few gems because of the fact that most of his life has been spent mining.
