  1. 1. Place a crushed antacid tablet in a petri dish and weigh the mass of the dish using the balance. Record the mass.
  2. 2. Measure 10mL of hydrochloric acid and pour into the flask.
  3. 3. Add 4 drops of methyl orange indicator to the acid.
  4. 4. Add a spatula of crushed antacid tablet to the flask until the colour changes from red to orange. Swirling after each spatula.
  5. 5. Measure the new mass of the petri dish. Record the mass.
