  1. You leap from one rooftop to the next. Yesterday was still ringing clearly in your mind...you (and the girls) were all exhausted and while that bout of...intimacy was something you'll never forget about in your life. Really, you were having trouble believing that it actually happened and when you fell asleep, it felt like you'd been asleep for 2 whole weeks!
  2.
  3. Still, that matters little right now. You didn't get time to enjoy the all of the girl's company, since they had school and jobs to worry about. This left you to survey the city alone. Thankfully, there didn't seem to be anything too troublesome going on. You foiled a small time robbery and that was about it really.
  4.
  5. The sky was a dull gray, casting a dreary feeling over the city wherever you went. Frankly, a part of you still wanted to go right back to Sadie's house and curl up to sleep. But you're a hero, and justice never sleeps!
  6.
  7. "Man, there's gotta be something more dangerous going on..." You mutter
  8.
  9. Maybe Sally knows? You get in contact with her through the HUD of your helmet
  10.
  11. "What is it Red? I'm in the middle of a very important experiment." She says dryly
  12.
  13. "Know if there's any big crime going underway? Things seem quiet right now." You reply
  14.
  15. She lets out a sigh "Let me see..."
  16.
  17. She leaves you hanging for a few moments before returning back to you "Nope, nothing. Now leave me be, I need to concentrate."
  18.
  19. She hangs up before you reply, leaving you to your own devices.
  20.
  21. "Well, that's depressing you mutter to yourself, leaping from the current building to another. You look over the people going about their day, there's some shops and stuff here with some nice looking food...Sadie DID leave you with some money...
  22.
  23. >Grab a bite to eat
  24. >People watch for a bit
  25. >Continue keeping a look out for crime
  26.
  27. >Continue keeping a look out for crime
  28.
  29. Much as you want to stop for a bite to eat, you're still 'on the clock' so to speak, so you decide to continue to keep on the lookout for any sort of trouble that'd spring up. It's about another 20 or so minutes of you keeping track of the people below, you hear a woman scream out as a man starts running away from her, purse in hand.
  30.
  31. You just sigh, a purse snatcher? Nothing that great, but even so, you had to go in and stop him. You leap from the building, landing hard on the ground in front of him.
  32.
  33. "Oh shit!" He exclaims going for a gun, which you don't even give him the chance to do before knocking him out cold with one punch.
  34.
  35. Well that was pretty anticlimactic to say the least. You grab the purse and return it to the woman who quickly thanks you, as some police arrive on the scene (seemingly from nowhere) to cart the guy off.
  36.
  37. Well, another life saved, so that's all that really matters in the end right? You vacate the scene, going back to looking for any trouble that may occur. The whole time as you do, your mind can't help but go back to the Silver Warrior. He was far stronger than any foe you'd currently faced, the way he so effortlessly defeated you and your friends angered you, making you want to get stronger so that you could ennact revenge against him.
  38.
  39. The more you thought about that person, the more you wanted to defeat them, it didn't help that for whatever reason, you felt like you knew him...as if he knew something about you and he was dangling that fact over your head. Unfortunately, there was no way to know where had had gone.
  40.
  41. This frustrated you.
  42.
  43. So frustrated were you, it felt like a buzzing was going throughout your head...wait a second.
  44.
  45. You stop your train of thought, standing on a building. Buzzing...then why did it sound so clear? And it's getting louder at that...
  46.
  47. >1d100+10
  48.
  49. >60
  50.
  51. Before you can turn all the way around, you're knocked off balance by a blast of electricity coming towards you. As you whip out your saber, ready to fight whatever robot or weird monster has appeared and instead you're met with...
  52.
  53. Oh crap.
  54.
  55. It's the purple armored guy from the video Jane took! The few moments it takes for you to get your mind together about this revelation feel like an enternity, but eventually you managed to get out a simple question.
  56.
  57. "Who are you?" You ask taking a combat stance
  58.
  59. "Doesn't matter, all that matters is I'm here to kill you and those who work with you."
  60.
  61. Your eyes go wide behind the visor of your mask at his words, he said that so plainly and with clear bloodlust in his voice that you could help but shudder a bit. Even so, you stand resolutely before him
  62.
  63. "I will not allow you to do such a thing!" You yell
  64.
  65. "Then try and stop me Red Meteor, I've been looking forward to this!" He says summoning a rather deadly looking Battleaxe into his hand "I wonder how your friends will react when I send you to them in pieces!"
  66.
  67. "Try it." You remark
  68.
  69. >1d100+15
  70.
  71. >Red:115
  72. >Purple:103
  73.
  74. You and the purple stranger get in close to one another, clashing weapons with each other as fire and electricity bounces off from your weapons. The warrior lets out a roar as he comes swinging at you with his axe but you deftly dodge it, elbowing him in the stomach and pushing him back. Before he can regain himself you grab him by the head and with great force toss him into the street below, the man hitting a car.
  75.
  76. You hop down onto the street, People who were nearby run off, some of them ducking behind other places to safely take some video fo the fight.
  77.
  78. He gets to his feet again, this time rushing in for an overhead swing, it barely misses you as you bring your saber into his side. Sparks fly from his armor as he jumps back.
  79.
  80. "Not bad, you're a lot better than the data said you'd be."
  81.
  82. "I aim to impress."
  83.
  84. "Good good, my turn now Red Meteor!"
  85.
  86. >Roll 1d100+15
  87.
  88. Red:103
  89. Purple:111
  90.
  91. The two of you clash again, but this time as your weapons clash, the purple warrior sends a charge of electricity throughout, it shocking you and sending you flying back. Your HUD is fuzzy, but quickly readjusts and is clear once again. The pain is intense, but you get back on your feet, staggering a bite as the electricity leaves you.
  92.
  93. "Did you like that? It felt quite good didn't it? A bit of a shock is always a good way to keep yourself awake no?"
  94.
  95. You growl as you bring your saber into the air, Slamming it down on the ground, which travels towards the warrior before a spout of flames shoot up near him. He dodges you again, albeit just barely, he took some damage at least, but it wasn't enough to significantly stop him at all.
  96.
  97. He raises his axe above his head, siphoning off a bunch of electricity from the nearby street lamps before firing a concentrated blast at you. You try to block it, but you can't keep it from knocking you back, more electricity running throughout your body and causing you pain.
  98.
  99. "Is that all you have Red Meteor? Come, entertain me more, before I kill you!"
  100.
  101. You groggily get back to your feet.
  102.
  103. >1d100+15
  104.
  105. >Red:101
  106. >Purple:68
  107.
  108. You pick yourself up off the ground. You cannot allow yourself to be defeated here, not while there are innocent people around. Who knows what this psycho would do to them if you fell here. You cannot let that happen...you WILL NOT let that happen. You summon forth all of your energy, the flames enveloping your body.
  109.
  110. "I will not fall!" You exclaim as you charge towards the purple warrior runs at you as well, he calls on more electricity and the two of you clash together. To the people watching, this whole thing plays out like a tv show, with two powerful forces clashing, before a powerful explosion goes off.
  111.
  112. You and the purple warrior are both staring at one another panting, he raises his axe and you return the gesture, raising your saber, ready to attack him once again. He's a lot more tired from that attack than you are, you can tell. But just as you both get ready to move, a random soda can flies at the purple warrior.
  113.
  114. "Ey, leave em alone!"yells a random bystander
  115.
  116. Another one, seeing this follows suit, tossing a trashcan lid at him
  117.
  118. "Yeah, Red Meteor ain't done nothing wrong, who do you think you are coming out of nowhere and picking a fight!"
  119.
  120. "Yeah, I've seen him helpin' out a bunch of homeless kids, you gonna pick on a guy like that?"
  121.
  122. The words and constant stream of trash are enough to anger the warrior.
  123.
  124. "FUCK OFF ALL OF YOU!" He exclaims while shooting electricity near them causing them to stumble back
  125.
  126. "Annoying pests...no where were we...?" He mutters looking at you, but just as he goes to attack, he stops "What...but he's right here! The people? What do you mean...? Fine..."
  127.
  128. He looks over to you "You got lucky today Red Meteor, but I will return, and when I do, your head will be on a pike!"
  129. The warrior flees, leaving you alone. You want to go after him, you know where he's holed up, but that'd be fool hardy. You probably wouldn't last without the others.
  130.
  131. As he goes away, a few people crowd around you, all looking to make sure you're okay.
  132.
  133. "Hey...are you alright?" You hear a familiar voice ask, you turn to see Helena of all people standing among the people
  134.
  135. >I'm fine
  136. >Leap to a roof
  137. >Thank the people
  138. >Other/Write-in
  139.
  140. >I'm fine
  141. >Thank the people
  142.
  143. "I am fine, thank you for asking Hel-er miss." You say which causes her to raise an eyebrow
  144.
  145. "Do I...know you?" She asks
  146.
  147. "No, I'm afraid not. Anyway, I want to thank you all, I am truly grateful for the assist. Now then, I must be off."
  148.
  149. The people all cheer for you, saying that they've got your back no matter what as you leap up to a roof.
  150.
  151. "W-wait a second!" Helena calls, but it's too late, not to mention that her voice was drowned out by the cheers of the people
  152.
  153. "That was weird..." Helena mutters walking away from the group of people, She was sure he almost said her name.
  154.
  155. As you got away from the area, you duck into an alleyway and change back to normal, but before you walk out, you find that your communicator is blinking
  156.
  157. "Potential candidate for White Moon found. Lock 50% Undone" it states before going silent
  158.
  159. You've seen that message enough times to realize that there's someone who was in that crowd who could possibly be a new ally. Still, there's no time for that, your body was aching. You weren't too terribly banged up, but those electrical attacks were painful. You should converse with the others, but they're all wrapped up in work and things...who should you go see?
  160.
  161. >Sadie
  162. >Sanja
  163. >Jane
  164. >Saya
  165.
  166. >Saya
  167.
  168. You think hitting up Saya would be good. Her school isn't too far away, and you send her a message via your communicator, telling her to meet up with you. Thankfully, it's past noon now and so she should be on break for a few hours before her next class, as you walk on campus, you see her waiting nearby.
  169.
  170. "Hey Red." She says waving you over and giving you a quick kiss, the few students around seem a bit off-put by the public display of affection, but Saya pays them no mind, focusing solely on you
  171.
  172. "So what did you want to talk about...actually, you look kind of tired, did patrolling around the city take too much out of you or something?"
  173.
  174. "No...I ran into him, that purple guy." You whisper so no one will hear
  175.
  176. "You're kidding?! Seriously?"
  177.
  178. "Yeah, let's go back to your room, better not talk out here in case someone tries to listen in.
  179.
  180. She nods, guiding you to her dorm room where the two of you sit down and begin talking
  181.
  182. "So how strong was he?" She asks
  183.
  184. "Very strong, I got some good hits in, but his electrical attacks are pretty dangerous, it messes with your HUD...not to mention it hurts too."
  185.
  186. "Ouch...I think I can help though, all we gotta do is find a way to neutralize, and I have the earth powers~!"
  187.
  188. "You got an idea?"
  189.
  190. "Yep, all we gotta do is cover you in a bunch of rocks!"
  191.
  192. >What
  193. >Uh...any other ideas?
  194. >Explain further
  195. >Other/Write-in
  196.
  197. >Explain further
  198.
  199. "Explain further please." You say, you don't want to shut her idea down that quickly
  200.
  201. "Well, I mean, rocks should have a natural resistance to electrical attacks like that. I can put some on you and the others to help mitigate whatever he throws at us."
  202.
  203. "That...could work, but wouldn't we be slowed down?"
  204.
  205. "May just have to bite the bullet on that one, I'm just making this up as I go since it popped into my head."
  206.
  207. "Where did you even get this idea anyway?" You ask
  208.
  209. "Well...from a video actually, I mean it makes sense when you think about it."
  210.
  211. Ah video games, is there nothing they can't teach?
  212.
  213. "Well I'm willing to try, should we go to Sally's now?"
  214.
  215. "No way, I couldn't make it there and back in time for classes, and I can't afford to skip out on too many."
  216.
  217. "Well that does make sense..."
  218.
  219. "...Unless..."
  220.
  221. "Unless what?"
  222.
  223. "I get a little...er motivation." She lets out a huge blush at this comment
  224.
  225. "Motivation...?"
  226.
  227. "You know what I mean you dope."
  228.
  229. >Headpats
  230. >Kiss?
  231. >Buttpat...?
  232. >Other/Write-in
  233.
  234. >Buttpat
  235.
  236. You smile knowingly and grab her waist pulling her in close, as you snake your hand down to her butt and give it a nice few pats. Surprisingly, Saya is blushing lightly and has her eyes closed. You're sure you hear her let out a few soft moans before she silently pushes you off.
  237.
  238. "Well...that was okay I guess. I-I think I can help you out. I did finish my homework for those classes anyway...let me just text Jane."
  239.
  240. She whips out her phone and begins texting Jane, leaving some papers on the table as she does so.
  241.
  242. "Alright, that should be taken care of. I probably won't take too hard a hit, just told Jane to tell my professors I'm 'being a woman' and that it's coming at me really bad. Easy enough."
  243.
  244. "That's a weird excuse." You state
  245.
  246. "Forget it, now let's get moving."
  247.
  248. With that being the case, you and Saya transform and head over to Sally's place. Helena isn't there today, but another woman lets you through. Taking the elevator up to Sally's lab area, you knock on the door to which she answers you with an eyebrow
  249.
  250. "What are you two doing here?" She asks
  251.
  252. "We need to run some tests." Saya bluntly states "You wouldn't happen to have some way to fire electricity at us would you? Red got into a fight with that weird purple guy."
  253.
  254. "Hmmm..." Sally mutters stroking her chin "I think I got just the thing, follow me."
  255.
  256. She leads you to a room labeled 'storage closet'. It says that, but it's practically it's own room, the walls lined with inventions that Sally has created in her spare time.
  257.
  258. "This shold do." She mutters carrying a small odd looking gun
  259.
  260. "What the hell is that?!" Saya cries looking at the thing with worry
  261.
  262. "Just an old pet project, now follow me."
  263.
  264. This time you're in a small testing room, all the walls are white and Sally is standing a fair bit away. "Alright now both of you transform and do whatever it is you think will work."
  265. Heeding her words, You and Saya transform, Saya summoning some of her power and encasing some rock around both of your chests, arms, and legs.
  266.
  267. "Here goes nothing." Sally mutters as she blasts the two of you
  268.
  269. >2d100+10
  270.
  271. >88,57
  272.
  273. Sally fires off two blasts from the weapon and the one that hits you, doesn't hurt you too much, it at the very least, brings the pain down to levels where you can shrug it off and not have to worry about it slowing you down at all.
  274.
  275. Saya however...isn't that lucky. The shot knocks her back and off her feet as she howls in pain briefly before getting back up, the rocks that were covering her (and you) falling apart as she loses concentration
  276.
  277. "D-dammit!" She growls standing up
  278.
  279. "You okay?" You ask helping her up.
  280.
  281. "What's wrong Saya? You put the same amount of rock on the both of us.
  282.
  283. "Yeah I did, but mine was just a bit weaker. Hey Sally, mind going again?"
  284.
  285. "Sure, this is some great data I'm getting for this thing!" the scientist replies with a wide grin that makes you question her sanity.
  286.
  287. Well at least she's excited if anything.
  288.
  289. You look to Saya who nods at you "One more go then Red, I'll be much better this time for sure!"
  290.
  291. She covers you and herself up in more rock, with the two of you waiting for Sally to fire once more.
  292.
  293. >2d100+10
  294.
  295. >77,105
  296.
  297. Another two blasts come at you and this time you feel a lot more pain than you did before. It's still not as bad as before but this wasn't enough to slow you down siginficantly. On the flip side Saya doesn't even flinch this time as the blast bounces off her and hits the wall.
  298.
  299. "Hah! See? I told you it'd work!" Saya says sticking her tongue out
  300.
  301. "Yeah, but it felt like I got hit a bit harder that time." You sigh
  302.
  303. "O-oh...sorry Red." She mutters rubbing her head.
  304.
  305. "Hmmm, this presents a problem." Sally mutters walking up to you both "If I had to guess, Saya here can't really handle more than one person well. If she tried to create this kind of shield for all five of you, someone would definitely end up getting hurt."
  306.
  307. "So what do we do then...?" Saya asks
  308.
  309. "Simple!" You chime in smiling "We need to toughen you up a bit, tell me Saya, how much do you work out?"
  310.
  311. "Well, outside of going to this fitness place I know of a few times, not much?"
  312.
  313. "That won't do, we've gotta get you in prime shape!"
  314.
  315. "Uh that's fine and all Red but I..."
  316.
  317. "Do you have classes tomorrow?"
  318.
  319. "No, tomorrow is an off day for me but-"
  320.
  321. "Perfect, then we'll work here throughout the night!
  322.
  323. "WHAT?!"
  324.
  325. "Sally, bring us to the obstacle course!"
  326.
  327. "Wait a second Red, this isn't fair, I didn't ask for this, I wanna go home!"
  328.
  329. But it's too late, you drag her off, preparing to get her into the hell that is known as physical activity
  330.
  331. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
  332.
  333. To Be Continued in Red Meteor Quest Part 20!
