Sample email to send to companies using BVO:

Dear [company],
	It has come to my recent attention that your company promotes and uses Brominated Vegetable Oil in [drink]. BVO has been known to have a lot of bad side effects. It is currently banned throughout Europe, India, and Japan and yet is still being used in America. BVO is a patented flame retardant, but it is in drinks such as [drink]. It has been added to 10% of carbonated drinks in North America and leads to the effects of memory loss, tumors, and nerve disorders which eventually need medical attention.

	The symptoms are all overexposure to Bromine which as a chemical causes hormonal issues by disrupting the thyroid, can lead to birth defects, and slows cognitive development, which can lead to eventual failure. Bromine itself can even lead to problems like schizophrenia which has been known for over 30 years, and yet in the form of BVO, it is put in popular carbonated drinks.
BVO damages the body by displacing iodine, which can lead to high risk of breast, prostate, ovary and thyroid cancers and can build up in breast milk (harming any baby) and the nervous system.

	In 1971, the British Journal of Nutrition stated that 'These findings, in conjunction with previous animal studies and with the geographical differences in the use of brominated vegetable oils as food additives, suggest that the high bromine levels found in the fat of tissues from UK children are due to the use of these compounds' and so it was banned, and yet in America it is still used with the full knowledge of the side effects from over 40 years ago.

BVO has led to 13 million Americans with Hypothyroidism.

I strongly urge you to remove BVO from any and all drinks that your company makes. Until the day that there is NO Brominated Vegetable Oil in ANY of your drinks, I will be boycotting your company and urging others to do the same.
