[size=3][color=#555555][font=calibri]His first moments on Sornieth were filled with the cries of his parents and gasps of their friends and family. They did not get the little Coatl boy they expected - instead, they received a hatchling too small for his age, too pale to be healthy, and too covered in an unknown blackness to be considered normal. But no matter these abnormalities, his parents gave him all the love they could give, and that is what saved him.

Growing up in a loving environment, he became a caring dragon. He feels the pain of others deeply, and offers a listening ear to anyone who needs it (and isn't scared away by his appearance). This might cause him to isolate himself at times, but this is necessary to process everything.

His youth was difficult. His bad health condition caused his eyes to fester after a very bad cold and it never healed, leaving him with permanent vision problems. His biggest problem, however, was his amount of energy. He was always tired, exhausted, [i]drained[/i]. No matter the hours of sleep he got, no matter the number of naps - he was always left without energy. Only well into his teenage years did he figure out it was because of his passenger: a spirit that corrupted his egg and clung to the little hatchling it found inside. It never left Hauntly, feeding off his energy, leaving him drained. After coming to this realization, he tried several things to get rid of the spirit, all to no avail. He did, however, found ways to hurt it. This made it possible to come to a mutual agreement: Hauntly allows the spirit to stay with him, while the spirit only feeds on limited amounts of energy. Hauntly has been feeling more energetic ever since, and has grown quite fond of his 'friend'.

These days, he makes toys and stuffed animals. It is hard to see with his eyes constantly covered in puss, hurting with every movement. But the spirit often helps out by collecting the materials that are needed. Sometimes - when the spirit feels a little rebellious - it leaves a little energy inside the stuffed animals, giving them a mind of their own. Normally, they either wander off into Sornieth, or leave with a willing dragon. One of them - a small mirror-like plushie - now stays with Hauntly and his companion.
