  24. Your motivation
  25. Why you think we should accept your application / why you think you are qualified / should be trusted:
  26. My motivation has always been to be a fair and impartial moderator. I'd like to think that in the 6 months that I have been a Moderator for this chat, I've been very fair. When there is something that I am unfamiliar with, I ask my fellow Mod and Admin team. When I see uprisings in the chat, I help to quell it without starting any fights. I do not believe I have been complained about once by anybody. I don't take sides right away, I see everything from both sides of view and make my judgment calls. I can be trusted to continue to provide that fairness.

  28. Why do you want to be a staff member? (You can be honest here):
  29. There are a few bad apples that come and go in the room, and I want to protect the room's integrity by enforcing our rules [no matter how light they are], and be a part of the moderator team. It is also a volunteer job that I can put on a résumé, as community involvement [even online] is still very good to place on my résumé.

  31. Qualities you think are important / relevant for a staff member (What ones do/don't you have?):
  32. Fairness and impartiality, being there for people when needed and providing assistance to those asking.

  34. What are your flaws? (Knowing our staff and knowing yourself helps us with improving):
  35. Not knowing literally every little detail. There were a couple of times where I did not know if a profile was breaking our rules (it was a very photorealistic profile) and I provided the screenshots to my fellow Mods and Admins asking for advice. When I do not know, I don't act until I ask.

  37. The following are questions that relate to how you think certain situations should be handled / your opinion on various subjects. There is not necessarily a right or wrong answer, so please answer honestly.

  39. 1. When rules are broken or issues arise what steps would you take?
  40. If they are obvious rules breaking, I do what is required and initiate a temporary ban. If it's something they can easily correct, I'll reinstate them after 24 hours of cooling off. If it's something quite unforgiveable, I will see to it they are not welcomed back and will provide the necessary screenshots to my fellow Mods and Admins.

  42. 2. What if a conflict occurs and there are no other moderators around what would you do?
  43. I will scroll up to find the evidence, and make the determination on the length of the ban. If it's something that can be correctable, usually a 24-hour ban and a direct message to the banned individual telling him or her what needs to change. If it's something major, I will initiate a full removal, still telling the user why, and provide that evidence in screenshots to my Mod Team and Admin team for when they do come around.

  45. 3. What would you do if you were accused of admin abuse or being unfair and how would you react?
  46. I would present what facts I have to tell otherwise, and put my trust in my fellow Mod Team and Admins to look at that evidence and make their own judgment.

  48. 4. What do you think qualifies as admin abuse?
  49. Removals without warrant, threats of removal over something that does not break the rules, and acting like you're higher than those of the rest of the room.

  51. 5. What is the purpose of staff and how do you think they should act?
  52. The purpose of staff is to provide a means of which to work together to provide the C.S. room with a team that cares about the integrity of the room, and will do what is necessary to maintain that integrity. We should always treat others the way we would want to be treated.
