The time I had a non-DeuceCon

Starting a week ago and ending today I had a little meetup at my crib we called "Definitely not DeuceCon." I invited a few of the homies over to chill and play video games along with other shit. Figured I'd let everyone know what a great time we had and we survived a week of playing games without firing up stream. Was a sick time.

Here's some of my highlights:

- Best Game: Joy Mech Fight (Famicom)
	We went WAYYYYYY too hard on this shit. Actually ended up beating all three difficulties and unlocking all the characters. If you want a good challenge give this one a whirl, it's way better than it should be

- Best Non-Video Game: Telestrations After Dark
	 Have played before and 10/10 would play again. Some of the artwork and inside jokes being thrown around are way too ace. I'm pretty sure everyone drew bich getting fucked in the ass at least twice

-  Best Drink: Crown Royal Salted Caramel
	Shit was flowing and complements the lone star well

- Best Adventure: Record Store / Lunch
	Monday Opus, Danshow, Ashley and I went down town in Austin, hit the record store, and went to lunch. Was bad ass.

- Hottest peripheral: Neerrm's knock off SupaBoy
	This thing played SNES and NES with an adaptor. It also can hook up to a TV with video out, and it created a new Waldo creepy pasta

- Best outfit: Danshow's Pajama pants
	It's hard to believe you can fit that much moose into such a good looking package

- Hottest meme: bich's ass OR AGAIN!?!

Anyway, was a really fun time to chill with some speed bros. Opus and I learned Friday the 13th on NES and he taught me FFA. So that's sick. Feral / danshow / Keaur and I all did a co-op run of Cup Head and it was a lot of fun! I'll go back and do expert mode solo and polish up the achievements.

After watching Neerrm do z2 randos, feral/dan do ALttp rando, and bich do MM2 randos it gave me a new perspective on what it takes to truly be good at them. It's essentially the reason I got into speedrunning - understanding your favorite games on an intimate level and being able to use that knowledge to exploit the game as well as add replay-ability. So the hate isn't warranted imo.

I'd like to do some more things like this in the future, obviously it's a lot to ask of my wife but she was super rad about things (yet again) and it's always good to kick it with the homies. I'm just pumped I have the ability to host my friends and play video games.

Thanks for reading dudes! I'm glad SMRPG is going with turbo and I hope other RPG communities follow suite. I don't have immediate stream plans for the future but expect new things if I do decide to fire back up. Stay cool.
