Articulation - Tenuto, Staccato, Legato, Accent, Slur, Tie,
Dynamics - pianissimo, piano, mezzopiano, mezzoforte, forte, fortissimo, fortepiano, sforzando, crescendo,
decrescendo
Pitch - Key signature (order of sharps and flats), notes in the Treble Clef, notes in the Bass Clef
Rhythm - Value of notes from eighth notes to whole notes (in beats), Time Signature (what each number
means)
Tempo - BPM (what this means)

Instrumental Techniques

Be able to describe the aspects of technique that we have discussed in class for your instrument, and the purpose of these techniques. i.e. Why do we hold our instruments a certain way? What purpose does it serve? What happens if we hold them a different way?

Identify some of the Warm-ups we did in class every day and understand the purpose of these.
