- Hello, my name is David Campos. I'm a Deputy County Executive and I am here to let our residents know that The County of Santa Clara, on April 2nd, released two databases to provide our residents
- information about how the county is dealing with the coronavirus crisis.
- The first database provides information about the capacity of our hospital system. It provides information about hospital beds, about ICU beds, about surge beds that are needed to make sure that if a resident needs a hospital bed that, that bed is provided. We also provide in that database, information about equipment that has been acquired by the county including the number of ventilators that the county has in it in its possession.
- The second database provides information about the number of tests that have been performed in the County of Santa Clara including the number of people that have also tested positive. The purpose of these two databases is so that the residents of this county know all the actions and all the steps that the county has taken to ensure a proper response to the coronavirus. There's a lot of information we don't know but we do know that we're doing everything we can to be ready and to be prepared and we believe that by providing this information, we can reassure our residents in a very transparent way of concrete steps that are being taken to be ready.
- We do believe that having this information will reassure residents that we are as prepared as any county in this state and in this country.
