Alexithymiaa: -Adam was seated at the first booth in the cafe, a sundae cup in front of him with chocolate ice cream and fudge syrup up it half eaten. He'd really taken Tae's advice to heart the last few days and had indulged in chocolate ice cream daily. With his spoon in hand, he twisted it through the ice cream, still overall looking pretty down.-
Covet: Cadence walked into the Cafe with Trick's carseat over one arm lugging it in. She looked exhausted and probably not much better if not worse than Adam. Getting up to the counter she ordered herself a salad and some fruit. Turning to look at the booths she saw Adam there and bit the inside of her cheek. She didn't know about the new shit with Hayley, but just the fact that he was with Hayley she was concerned he'd want to talk. But she couldn't exactly walk by quickly with a Carseat in hand.
Alexithymiaa: -Hearing the jungle of the door, he picked his head up from his melting sundae to see Cadence coming in with the baby. Gingerly lifting his hand into the air, he sent her a small wave, knowing at least a bit of her business because he'd finally talked to Hayley about what the hell was going on. "Hi. How are y'all doing?"-
Covet: She gave Adam a soft smile and stopped for a second. "Hey Adam. Um.. Okay, Trick's good, and well, so is Baby B: the surprise edition." Cadence said with a slighly awkward laugh. "Uh.. do you mind?" She said pointing to the booth, looking to set Trick down.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh yeah, I heard. Congratulations." He said with a forced smile because he was happy for her, but knowing the shit with Remy he didn't know how to tread on that news and it just made him awkward. "No, not at all. It's just my ice cream and me."-
Covet: "Thanks....on both accounts." She said then sat down with an exhausted sigh. "I just feel guilty there isn't as much celebration as there was with Trick...Even with how complicated things were with him." She said pursing her lips. "I guess that means you've probably heard about everything else too... if you know about the new baby." Cadence sighed.
Alexithymiaa: "Well then you should take it into your own hands to celebrate. There's no reason this baby should be any less celebrated than Trick was, even if Remy isn't contributing." He paused, giving a gentle nod. "Yeah... I heard. I heard a lot of things."-
Covet: "It's... not that, black and white." She said with a softer look. "I want to be happy, I'm just... it's hard." She said trying to pick her words to keep from being the wet mop she'd been all week. "What do you mean?" She asked, the tone in Adam's words implying more. "If you don't mind me asking."
Alexithymiaa: "I understand." He said with a nod, because he did. He felt shitty too even if they werent married. "I had called Hayley on Sunday and I heard her being intimate with someone." He paused, swallowing hard. "I talked to her yesterday and she admitted that she had been."-
Covet: "Oh, I'm so sorry Adam. Did she tell you why as well?" Cadence asked a little mad now, because WTF Adam was a nice guy, who already had to go through that once.
Alexithymiaa: (He'll learn Long distance relationships are bad eventually.)

Alexithymiaa: "Yeah...." He trailed off, running his fingers through his hair, a little hesitant to explain what Hayley had said to him, to Cadence. "She said that I was unwilling to give her what she wanted and therefore she found someone who would."-
Covet: "Wow I really am sorry Adam...I can't believe she was selfish enough to do it before at least breaking things off with you. I know she's not in a great place, but if I'm being frank, sometimes it's not all about her." She said stabbing into her salad once it was dropped off for her.
Alexithymiaa: "I know... I can't wrap my head around how being depressed and upset equates to needing that kind of feeling. If you're in a monogamous relationship you don't just.... do that." He said, clearly hurt. "I don't know why it's so hard for everyone to understand that keeping your pants on isn't the end of the world."-
Covet: "I kind of get it, because...for some people you feel nothing for so long that you're desperate to feel anything. But she could have gone about it the right way. And I can't exactly advocate for that statement, not when I've got two products of such mistakes." She said with a somber laugh.
Alexithymiaa: "You're married. It's different. She was supposed to be my girlfriend and she was more concerned with getting off than being loyal after over two years. If that's all she cared about, she should have told me that a long time ago because we could have just ended it before I made her miserable, I guess." He said with a roll of his eyes because he still looks down upon this whole sex thing and it's importance to people.-
Covet: "It's not that much different. Just a relationship with a piece of paper making it official." Cadence said, bitterly. " Even in marriage people have a hard time being loyal. But you're right. She should have told you, or at least she should have been more honest with herself." Cadence frowned, "I can't help but feel like it's kind of my fault. Because I don't think it's about the sex for her.... it's about what she can't have."
Alexithymiaa: "I know it's not exactly, persay, but that's what she's going to therapy for. That's what she's supposed to talk to me about and you shouldn't blame yourself for her irrational and hurtful choices. Obviously being intimate wasn't going to lead to what she actually wants, so it served her absolutely nothing besides ruining what we have. Had." He corrected. "That was her conscious choice, not yours."-
Covet: "I know, but Me having my outburst before leaving and announcing to all of them that I was pregnant, knowing that she was in a shitty place already... My selfish concious choice, spurned hers. It's not an excuse by anymeans, but still the cause to a reaction." Cadence said still just stabbing at her plate. "I'm sorry Adam. I know I could have had more tact, but...I'm just exhausted. Expecting to take everyone else's feelings into consideration, but then not getting any back... why because I'm supposed to be happy right now?" She frowned.
Alexithymiaa: "No, if anything that's Remy's fault because he shouldn't have forced your hand into having an outburst like that anyway. With all due respect, your hormonal and emotional because of that. It was his responsibility to celebrate the conception of his second child and share that with his family to not put you in that position in the first place. Regardless of Hayley being responsible for her own actions, Remy triggered it, not you."-
Covet: "Well when you put it like that. Remy's excited, just the concern for his sister and family supercedes his concern for me." Cadence said, defending him a little. "I know why he asked me not to, I get it, but I also don't care, because no matter what I feel about it, Her shit's going to matter more to them, So I just walked out to let them deal with their shit and I'll deal with mine." She stuffed a bite of salad in her mouth, to stop herself from talking more, since she could already feel the moisture brimming at her eyes.
Alexithymiaa: "She isn't supposed to be his first concern though. His wife and his children are. I know she's family, but he took an oath to you and them when he consented to have children with you. She has plenty of love and support from her friends and family and is never without at least two helping hands. He shouldn't be picking her feelings over yours in this situation. That's just... not right."-
Covet: "I don't know. I can't say that I could put them ahead of my brother, depending on the situation. The kids, sure, but...it's just a different situaton." She said quielty. " It's just stressful, and I can't do the stress right now. It's bad enough as is. "If I wasn't pregnant right now, it'd be different, I could handle it differently, but like you said, my emotions are compromised, and everything is just kind of Shit right now. I'm just trying to do the best by Trick and his sister at this point."
Alexithymiaa: "I understand and I think that's admirable of you. Even in the face of all of this crap, you're still trying to be the best mom you can be. I think that shows a real level of maturity that most people around here don't recognize." He smiled at her. "It's a girl?"-
Covet: "Thanks." Cadence said quickly moving her hand up to wipe her eyes. "I don't know where the hell it came from, but I guess I'll take it." She said with a laugh then nodded. "It is. She let Steph and I and the doctor know she was a girl when we found out. I can't help but fear that spells trouble. First public nude at 18 weeks in utero."
Alexithymiaa: "I think that just means she's ahead of her time so by the time she's ready to join the rest of the world, she'll be an emotionally mature middle aged woman and won't be concerned with any of that crazy kid stuff. Although from what I've heard, middle aged women are still kind of boy crazy so you may have your hands full with that."-
Covet: "I'll be old by then and won't care anymore. If she's an adult she can manage her own antics with boys. I'll be in like Arizona being some tanned wrinkly old snowbird or something." Cadence said. "I'm only responsible for them for the first eighteen years."
Alexithymiaa: "Arizona? I thought people retired to Florida. I dont know any of those people, but that's what I've heard. Everyone I know can't really afford to retire." He started to laugh, but it was a sad truth.-
Covet: "People on the East Coast retire to Florida. West coast used to be Palm Springs, Cali, but then the celebrities took it over, so it's now Arizona." Cadence explained. "I've kind of already retired? I guess... But it's not what it's all cracked up to be."
Alexithymiaa: "I guess since I'm from smack dab in the middle it goes either way." He smiled, raising his brows. "How are you already retired?"-
Covet: "Because I'm pretty much set for life and don't have to work another day in my life, with funds that a retiree wishes they had access too." Cadence said. "Not trying to be a dick about rubbing that in, because clearly all the money in the world can't buy happiness or a stable relationship." She said then grabbed her phone to check the time then saw the message. "Fuck...I.. I need to go. Steph's.. in the fucking hospital. Thanks for the chat, and again I'm sorry about. the Hayley situation, but...if you want to talk more, or whatever You know how to get a hold of me." She said as she grabbed Trick's carseat and rushed out the door to get to the hospital.
Alexithymiaa: "Wait, what?" He asked, because he wasnt all that close with Steph, but they were at least somewhat friends. He didnt intend to go down to the hospital, but he was going to reach out to Felix a little later just to politely check in.-
