- - Notes -
- - Material -
- - Unmarked Caterpie and Heart Caterpie, the corruption initiators
- If you can trade with FrLg, you can use another pair of Corruption Initiators (see Notes)
- - in-game traded Seedot and Horsea.
- - A team to perform Pomeg Glitch / Decaswitch / Instant Pomeg Glitch
- (I recommend Instant Pomeg Glitch)
- - Balls, Repel, Revives, Fluffy Tails
- - A cloning Glitch Pokémon
- - Oran Berries.
- If you already obtained the Spelon Berry from the Berry Master's Wife, you can obtain another one using Double Corruption on a Seedot clone (00 Speed and 163 Def for the Berry, 1 HP EV for a Bulbasaur)
- - Macho Brace, some HP Up, Protein, Iron, Carbon. (For EV training)
- - Disable the fighting animations. (unless I tell you to turn them on)
- - Something to take notes.
- Bootstrap Pokémon Procedure for all other cases : https://pastebin.com/2aEzxFU4
- (the procedure is a bit different from this one)
- - Procedure -
- 0) First steps
- 0.1) Pokeblocks
- - Make the Pokéblock recipe :
- Oran + 2 NPC + 7-23.3 maximal RPM : 8 Dry, 8 Bitter, 20 Feel (takes 10 boring minutes to do)(see Notes for an example)
- Save in front of the Blender, and reset if you don't manage to have the required maximal RPM.
- 0.2) In-game traded Horsea
- - Clone the in-game traded Horsea.
- Keep a clone in safety. Give a Circle marking to the other clone. (To help recognize it)
- This Horsea clone with the Circle marking will be trained and corrupted, in order to obtain a Bootstrap Pokémon for a certain version.
- 1) Horsea's training
- 1.1) First EV-training of Horsea
- - Give Horsea :
- Emer Jpn : 16 Atk, 9 HP EVs and Surf as 4th Move.
- (1 Protein, 1 Mightyena with Macho Brace, 1 Poochyena with Macho Brace, 2 Marill with Macho Brace, 1 Wishmur)
- - Give Horsea an Escape Rope.
- - Save.
- 1.2) First Double Corruption of Horsea
- - Double corrupt Horsea into a Glitch Pokémon using Unmarked Caterpie as corruption initiator for both its PID and TID.
- With the specific 4th Move given, you can move/clone the Egg obtained after the first corruption.
- That Glitch Pokémon won't be at Lv100 with 0x05060000 exp, so he can still gain EVs.
- - Save.
- 1.3) Second EV-training of Horsea
- - Give Pomeg, Hondew, Grepa Berries to the Poké to decrease its HP, SpAtk, SpDef EVs to 0.
- 12 Pomeg Berries will be enough. Up to 26 Hondew and Grepa Berries can be required (depending on Horsea's exp)
- /!\ Do not decrease its Def EVs /!\
- - Save.
- - The Pokémon will need 177 HP Evs, 221 Atk EVs, 2 Speed EVs, 10 SpDef EVs, but he has PokéRus which doubles the EVs he gains while fighting !!
- /!\ Since the Pokémon has Glitch Moves, you need to switch to another Pokémon in order to kill wild Pokémon.
- To get the Atk EVs : Give it 10 Protein, fight 20 Mightyena with Macho Brace (you will reach 255 HP EVs), then give it 4 Kelpsy Berries to make its HP EVs drop to 215, and fight 3 Poochyena without Macho Brace.
- To get the HP EVs : Give it 10 HP Up, fight 20 Marill with Macho Brace (you will reach 255 HP EVs), then give it 8 Pomeg Berries to make its HP EVs drop to 175, and fight 1 Wurmple without Macho Brace.
- To get the Speed EVs : Fight 1 Makigarp without Macho Brace.
- To get the SpDef EVs : Give 1 Zinc.
- - Save.
- 1.4) Second Double Corruption of Horsea
- - Double corrupt the Poké using Heart Caterpie as corruption initiator for both its PID and TID.
- For this corruption, use the general Double Corruption method (DON'T move/clone the Egg you obtain after the first corruption)
- The Glitch Pokémon turns into another Glitch Pokémon : Emer Jpn : 0xDDB1 |
- This Glitch Pokémon will hold Glitch Item 0x0255.
- /!\ Do not withdraw the Glitch Item held by this Pokémon /!\
- 1.5) Third EV-training of Horsea
- - Give 1 HP Up to this Glitch Pokémon. (+10 HP Evs)
- - Put the Glitch Pokémon in the first party slot.
- - Go to Route 101 and fight 8 Lv 2 Wurmple, without Macho Brace. (+ 8 HP EVs, + 176 exp)
- /!\ Use Surf to kill the wild Wurmple, and do not switch to another Pokémon. This would halve the exp gained, which would be bad.
- Be sure to only kill Lv 2 Wurmple and no Lv 3 Wurmple, this is important. /!\
- 1.6) Third Double Corruption of Horsea
- - Double corrupt the Poké using Unmarked Caterpie as corruption initiator for both its PID and TID.
- For this corruption, use the general Double Corruption method (DON'T move/clone the Egg you obtain after the first corruption)
- The Glitch Pokémon turns into a Pidgeot.
- 1.7) Fourth training of Horsea
- - Give 1 Grepa Berry to the Pidgeot you obtained.
- - Give the Pokéblock you made to the Pigdeot you obtained.
- Now, this Pokémon is ready. A part of its hexadecimal data has been manipulated to turn it into a Bootstrap Pokémon.
- - Save.
- 1.6) Turing the Bootstrap Pokémon into an Egg
- - Perform a single Corruption on the Bootstrap Pokémon using Unmarked Caterpie as a corruption initiator, by corrupting either its PID or TID.
- This corruption is a single corruption, not a double corruption.
- Due to the long species name of the Glitch Pokémon, the game may freeze/crash while moving the Glitch Pokémon. Thus, you may need multiple attempts to move it to a certain PC Slot.
- You may also not be able to clone the Glitch Pokémon with a Cloning Glitch Pokémon. However, the cloning glitch at Battle Tower will still work.
- - Once the Bootstrap Pokémon is turned into an Egg, save.
- - Give some markings to this Egg in order to remember well what's inside.
- - Clone the Egg, and keep a clone in safety.
- Turning the Bootstrap Pokémon into an Egg allows you to trade it to other versions easily. However, be careful of the egg step cycles that could make the Pokémon hatch !
- Thus, it is recommended to only take the Egg in your party when you want to trade it to another version. (You have at least 1.000 steps to do before the Egg hatches, but it is preferrable to leave it in PC as much as possible.)
- 1.7) Placing the Bootstrap Pokémon.
- - If that Bootstrap Pokémon is for RS or FrLg, trade it to RS/FrLg.
- - Move it to :
- Emer Jpn : Box 12 Slot 13
