- The bleak space is getting into me.
- I have hidden the first unit of the Lato, that portable pistol I have made. I hid it in the cabin where my son will stay. I still cannot allow my family to be enslaved because of this war.
- I need to find a way to contact them before they arrive. A plan to keep them away from this place, even if it means I won't see them again. I discovered a secure, all-call channel on the comms. If I can make the message untraceable, it will take a longer time before they deduce that it came from this place.
- But before my plans were to be executed, my son, my daughter, and my partner was already here. I told them about the new assignment, and how our lives were impacted. They were initially in shock. I told them the Jade Light is the punishment for defiance, but my partner was very unfazed. Why make me suffer like this? As much as I wish to rebel, it will only bring our family to ruin. I'd rather we ensure that this family we have spent a considerable amount of time, money, and effort be made intact
- That wretched Executor, all ivory on out but tar all in, wanted something different from the Braton and Lato. Specifically, he asked for a weapon fit for close ranges. I took it upon myself to forge a weapon that does not need bullets, that can be used at close quarters, something that the Warframes can use to destroy the Sentients. Hopefully, something that could also give us rescue from this place. I saw an Old Age weapon commonly called a "sword". Their length allows it to strike from a slightly safe distance, their sharpness can cut through steel, and they sometimes have intricate ornamentations. My plans would not be for naught, after all.
- I forged a blade from a single block of material made from rubedo and oxium, cut forth a fiery design, and emblazoned on it the golden gildings of the Orokin. What I have forged was both form and function. Lightweight, yet sharp. The moment I laid my eyes on the finished product, I found myself prancing back and forth at the glistening piece of deadly sharpness. Should I do what I have seen from it?
- My partner comes in, the Lorist that he was. I asked him if he has cooled off his head from all of this. He said yes, so I gave him a hug. I told my partner that I am with him, that we should act cautiously, and that we can only move once we have gained enough privacy. We will be surely killed, our children as well if their eyes saw through the ruse we are beginning to drape over this operation. As such, we cannot be too loud, too open, too brave. We need to be swift, silent, cunning, and covert. He nodded and asked what we can do right now. I told him about my plan.
- You see, before the Foundry was born, the Library was the storage unit of all information the Orokin obtains. Information handling undergoes a strict process, with many stages for data insertion, access control, and even deletion. To give an example, to delete an entry from the Library, there are three stages. First, the data is de-indexed, but not deleted immediately. After de-indexing, a period of a week is provided before the data proceeds to the next stage. This period can be expedited using Ducats, but the period is only shortened to three days; if that time has already passed, the period is shortened to six hours. This was put in place to prevent accidental deletions, as well as for the people who deleted the process to have some time in case they changed their minds. Once the grace period has passed, the second stage is enacted, wherein data is sent to hard storage, on isolated archives that are disconnected from the Library once the monthly cleanup process is executed. Wondered why not directly delete it? Again, there have been many times when orders are being reversed, requesting access to data already removed from the Library index. Also, there are some data that are sent here, only for high-ranking Orokin to request for the archive storage for their purposes. We enacted this system on our end to ensure the integrity of the Library, as well as to ensure that any behind-the-counter transactions can be made. Oh, imagine how much profit we get from this!
- One day, a few years ago, I found that there were records being deleted. Something about that derelict ship found adrift after some void-jump accident. I haven't seen the records they removed at that time, but they seemed intent on assuring its swift deletion. They seemed to also expedite the grace period as well. The data was already in hard storage when I found it. Out of sheer curiosity, I copied it into a device and viewed it once I got past the security detail that has started to flood the lower chambers of this place. Oh, the horrors of that incident! This has fueled the fire inside me, which led to me giving my all to this Project.
- Anything to help those Orphans turn into warriors, I will do. For the future of this Empire. Maybe one day, we wouldn't need to forge more weapons, once the enemies have been pushed back to that place outside the Origin System. My plan is to ensure that the Tenno possess the power to rebel, and when that time comes, we can equip our fellow allies, and turn this place into something out of the grasp of the Orokin.
- My partner clapped after all that explanation. What he told me next was very assuring.
- "This will be a great plan, but until that time comes, we should churn out more weapons"
- I nodded in agreement. Anything for the Tenno to rise and overcome our masters.
