The story of humankind's last stand against a cataclysmic alien invasion. In the war-ravaged African countryside, a U.S. soldier and a French foreign aid worker team up to survive the alien onslaught. Their bond will be tested as they search for refuge across a crumbling world.
&quot;War of the Worlds&quot; in Kenya. Bo (Lee Pace) is a special ops soldier without a memory. We know there is something special about him and won&#39;t find out for sure until the flashback. Bo decides he needs to get to a distant military base and takes off across the bush with Bérénice Marlohe, who comes across as a Michelle Rodriguez. They battle machines which kill and capture people.<br/><br/>The production was much better than expected, flying under the radar. The acting was good, the plot fair, sound track adequate, and special effects were decent. The dialogue needed some spice and the audio flashbacks were lame, especially when he is flashing back to scenes which we have seen.<br/><br/>The word &quot;RESIST&quot; is written all over the place, apparently the only English word everyone knows. I think &quot;Resist&quot; would have been a better title than &quot;Revolt.&quot; I wasn&#39;t sure how the basement light was on in that remote shack. The grid was down and there was no generator sound.<br/><br/>Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity
I actually really liked this movie a lot. It&#39;s hard to say to much of anything without spoiling the whole movie. It has great CGI and special effects and all of that kind of new tech fancy stuff with all the bells and whistles. I personally liked the plot and story line. The location of the end scene looked like Three Mile Island very close to where I currently live in the greater Harrisburg, PA area but I do not actually live within the city limits. I hope there is a sequel &amp; if you watch the movie all they through you would expect there to be a sequel, plain old common sense would tell you that if you pay attention that they had to have planned on a sequel. Overall I thought it was great but there has to be a sequel, it is a must. If they don&#39;t make a sequel then I would say it&#39;s fair to good leaning towards good personally but if they do make a sequel then it&#39;s great.
