  1. Hey guys. Before my unexpected appearance as one of the runners for F-Zero GX, I only had 30/40ish followers. Now that has shot up to 371 and I still get new followers from time to time. After AGDQ I hardly ever streamed at Twitch, so perhaps most of you guys thought I wasn't playing at all. That's not the case at all. I have been playing regularly, and streaming on most weekends, just not on Twitch, but on Hitbox (hitbox.tv/akc12), as I have explained in my profile description.

  3. Why Hitbox over Twitch?
  4. Initially it was mainly due to the far lower stream delay compared to the chat. I want to talk to my viewers eventually and I want to reply to comments and questions quickly, so Hitbox was the way to go in that regard. As I started using Hitbox, many other advantages were shown to me. I frequently use the sticky message function so I don't have to spend too much time editing/making overlays and I want to minimize what is shown on the video. I also like to provide extra useful/fun facts about F-Zero GX and the competitive ladder with it. Then there's all of the connectivity issues Twitch has had lately and many cases of users not being able to highlight their runs because Twitch lost it. And all of the extra features for viewers (shows some of the chat history if you just entered the stream w/o needing an extension, good layout change if you reduce the width of your window) are something I know viewers would appreciate.

  6. Does this mean you'll never stream at Twitch again?
  7. No, I have decided that I will stream any speedruns at Twitch while I keep the individual level attempts at Hitbox. Most of the time when I do individual level runs, there will be several resets early on at lap 1. If I hit a wall that causes me to lose speed, 99% of the time that's a reset. Miss a boost plate, reset. Perhaps early on with my attempts I may keep going so I can practice my boost laps, but once I get on a groove I'll reset even on clean looking runs where the laps don't meet my target.

  9. I may be mistaken, but it seems most viewers except for dedicated F-Zero fans won't stick around for that sort of show, where as on Hitbox most of my viewers will stick around for a while. These days due to heavy competition, I have been doing ILs so they won't overtake me. I will stream on Twitch more often once I overtake the 8th spot and secure that spot from Naegleria and E-Dragon for a while.

  11. Do you have a schedule on when you'll stream and where?
  12. I do not have a schedule. I stream on various times during the weekend, and currently I may stream on late mornings/early afternoons on Mondays and Tuesday.
