- *three figures step out of a one-way Outrealm gate onto a long-abandoned dirt path in a forest, the gate closing behind them; the center figure is supporting the other two, both of whom are barely able to stand*
- Sophia: *walking the pair over to a tree* Here, sit down... *helps the two into sitting positions against the tree*
- Celeste: Nnh... Did... did anyone follow...?
- Sophia: *shakes her head* I don't think so. Not yet, at least. Hopefully we have enough time for you two to rest a little.
- Michelle: Wh-what about you, Sophie? What are you going to do...?
- Sophia: I'll keep watch.
- Celeste: I hope... Ann is okay...
- Michelle: She'll be fine... You know how she is. The worse the situation gets... the harder she fights.
- Sophia: Yes. She's gotten herself - and us - out of tight spots just by pushing back hard enough. I expect this- *ears twitch; suddenly draws her blade and points it down the dirt path, straight at an approaching person*
- ???: [approximate] Whoa! Hey, hey, easy!
- Sophia: ... *sheathes the blade* Is there a settlement nearby, somewhere that my friends can get treatment?
