  1. Character Kill Requests, when do you accept them, and when do you not?:
  2.
  3. 1. Evidence:
  4. The evidence is what you should be looking at, regardless of what sort of paragraph or paraphrasing the CK application has received. Naturally, the CK application's explanation should not display lack of effort, however, the CK application must have proper evidence that shows the point that the player is proving. Validation comes first, and you should base your opinion about a character kill entirely on the evidence provided. Under no circumstance can you decide "oh that is a good reason" based on what the player wrote, as the player's text MUST be validated through logs, screenshots, etc. It is up to you decide what evidence is required based on the situation you are getting an application for, here is an example:
  5. - Paul Saracusa is a notorious mafia member, a man has walked up to him in his bar and raised a knife to him, Paul cannot stand people talking down to him and hence decided to track down this guy and kill him.
  6. Always be skeptical about things as such, why did the man walk up to him and raise a knife? Is this Paul Saracusa guy really a "notorious mafia member"? What mafia? What bar was he at? What are the exact logs of the situation? Are there any supporting screenshots?
  7.
  8. Make sure the evidence adds up perfectly, while it is the player's responsibility to show you logs, it should not be a problem that you run logs yourself - not only to double check on the player's logs but to see what led up to the event that the player mentions in the CK request. This is a must in any CK application.
  9.
  10. 2. Character's consistency:
  11. The character must be a character that would actually kill someone premeditatedly. In other words, a character kill request specifically means that the character is considering to kill someone.
  12. Character kills such as "John is a successful doctor in the LSFD, and his girlfriend cheated on him, John knew this and will buy a knife to kill her tomorrow, when he knew about this a week ago" make no sense. Why would John, a successful doctor, decide to give up on his life and plan on killing his girlfriend? The roleplay of the character must match up with the fact that this character is actively planning to kill a person. To avoid the massive debate of "Anything is possible in real life, I don't see the problem with [...]" always judge things based on how probable they are, not if they are possible or not.
  13.
  14. 3. Results:
  15. Results must always be taken into consideration between a CK application goes through, while people will argue that "hey I can do whatever I want" it still remains that it is unrealistic. Will this CK application probably cause a faction CK war? What would happen if this person kills this cop?
  16.
  17. P.S: The only time kills on cops should go through is when a cop does something major that causes the character to feel threatened to perform his day-to-day activities, that causes it to become a personal situation rather than a normal one.
