  1. 13)Jhin listens intently to what his counter-part had to say, his hands purposely preventing themselves from clasping together. If the additional weights were too close together, they could very well cause the table to groan in protest, or a plate to break. As he assumes, Amaya did not miss a singular detail in his line of questions, giving detailed information with each answer. As he suspected, she was a shrewd individual, and one that he would naturally align with the word 'cunning'. She liked to prepare for the worst, and show as little of her cards as possible. Even so, that led him to another line of questions.

  3. 14) "...So you kept information from me, thinking you might need to 'deal' with me, at some point? Some would call that cautious, but that sounds as if you have issues in trusting anyone. You're an intelligent woman all the same, so it made me curious as to why you'd place your faith in Naraku. I follow Naraku because I can get behind his ideals. We're both under-dogs, or at least have been in some portions of our life. I'm originally from Genjigakure, where the Yatogari rule. Rather than be in their shadow, I sought to make a name for myself, and come to defeat each one of them as I propel myself in strength."

  5. 15) His left arm begins to complete invisible curls, as if inspired by his own words. Being lax was something he could not afford to do, and every moment of his waking life, he felt as if he should be seeking to improve in a tireless fashion. By now, his arms were burning, but he would have to simply endure the discomfort, in pursuit of strength. "You strike me as the type of woman who would not consider those around her as 'friends'. Is there a reason for that, or have you always been so reclusive?" He wished to get to the bottom of what made her 'tick', perhaps.
  6.
  7. 16) Jhin settles back as he listened to what she had to say, ceasing his side-show in order to wholly enjoy his meal. Even the act of eating would provide some form of tax upon his body, however. Lifting a mere fork had turned from a menial task, to one that required concentration and effort. Every scoop of food he manages to devour was a reward, and energy was expended at every moment. "Usually. Are you implying that some things can get you worked up, besides children? You're typically so calm, that I figured something has to be wrong with you. No offense, of course, but you do carry the mana of Wrath, now. I find it imperative to figure things like this out, even if it's mostly due to my interest."
  8.
  9. 17) He settles his fork down for the time being, only to gesture towards her with an idle flick of his wrist. "I've asked plenty of questions, but I'm sure you may have some of your own. Feel free to ask me them, though I'm curious as to how you expect me to help you with this portion of the tournament. Am I a cover for you, as we are now? I'm aware that they're located close by." He explains, purposely avoiding looking down at the table. The weights upon his hands made such idle gestures rather difficult, and a bead of sweat forms along the side of his head as he resumes his curls.
