Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Recruit em All w/ Wondermail FAQ

Q: Are you insane?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you take sleep breaks?
A: Yes, the larger timer always displays my time without sleep breaks, while the smaller timer is constantly going from start to end. The gameplay timer is the one that matters more for leaderboard purposes. There are 3 breaks allowed for this run that may last up to 9 hours each, 2 of which are typically used for sleep and one in case of emergencies.

Q: Why are there 2 timers / what are they for?
A: The timer that has a lot of information and splits in the top right is the gameplay timer, which only runs while I'm not taking a specified break. The timer in the bottom left is my RTA timer, which will constantly continue until I complete this challenge.

Q: Why Riolu leader?
A: Because we are allowed to use Wondermail codes, we can obtain an item called the Fight Gem which allows us to move at 2x speed in dungeons when in the inventory and with no weather condition affecting the floor (doesn't even need to be held so we can hold a Weather Band on those floors!). He's also pretty strong for the most part.

Q: Why Chikorita partner?
A: In order to recruit Kecleon, we need a Pokemon that has the IQ Fast Friend, and the only partner which has this is Chikorita. This way we can start raising its IQ early on to not worry about it when we finally get to the Kecleon recruit.

Q: Why bring Lanturn (Service Fish)?
A: Lanturn has the ability Illuminate, which spawns a new Pokemon into the floor whenever it is hit, and can help for finding certain rare spawns without using up too many turns and getting kicked out by the Kiichii...I mean wind.

Q: What are the Wondermail codes used for?
A: The codes are used to obtain many, many items. Some of the most useful items are Golden Seeds, Wonder Gummis, Fight Gem, Golden Mask, and Mobile Scarf.

Q: How many Pokemon are you obtaining?
A: 525 (+ starter and partner makes 527)

Q: Is this a living dex?
A: Yes, the game tracks a living dex within the dungeons, so we must recruit each and every Pokemon and have them in the assembly at the end of the run. So for example, we will have a Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise at the same time.

Q: How are Pokemon with different forms like Shellos and Unown tracked?
A: We get all forms of these. Both colors of Shellos/Gastrodon, all three cloaks of Burmy/Wormadon, and all 28 Unown letters.

Q: What's your favorite Pokemon?
A: Turtwig, favorite type is Ice however.

Q: How long will this take?
A: The estimate is around 32 hours this time, hoping to do better than that though.

Q: Are you insane?
A: Still yes.

Q: Has anyone ever done this before?
A: I've completed this run 2x with old strats, Cheez has done it 2x (once with old strats, once with new), AnthemOfTheWorld has completed it with old strats, RobTheGamer115 has attempted but not completed this run. This run has also been completed without Wondermail by Cheez. Finally, Crrool has done this recruit em all on Time/Darkness both with and w/o Wondermail.

Q: What do the colors on the tracker mean?
A: White means I have not obtained it, green means I have obtained it, and blue means I have obtained an extra of it for evolution / on accident.

A: Cheez.
