“Metallo! Catch me if you
can!” He took off, flying away from the plaza.
“Where’s Superman going?” Jimmy asked, watching Superman fly off.
“Is he running away from Metallo?”
“No,” Lois said. “He’s luring him away from here. Look!” She pointed.
Metallo was following Superman. Though he couldn’t fly, he could run
at an incredible speed and leap great distances. Superman watched the
cyborg below him, making sure he didn’t fly so fast that he risked leaving
Metallo behind.
As Superman flew over Hob’s River, he saw Metallo vault over the
water and land on the opposite riverbank. WHOMP!
When he reached the marshlands a few miles outside Metropolis,
Superman landed on an outcropping of stone and scrub. There were no
buildings or people in sight.
