Covet: Tae was sitting in one of the chairs waiting for Noah's family to show up, biting her lip absent mindedly, while tapping her heel in the air, her legs crossed.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah had given the hostess his name and then took a seat down in the chair beside Tae, waiting for his family to meet them at the restaurant. And frankly a little nervous because even though HE liked the way Tae looked, he was concerned his parents might not. // The Silvermans pulled up in their rental car, all climbing out with Cameron taking Sadie by the hand for the group to walk together in through the front door. Cynthia noticed them first, leaning in to kiss Noah's cheek before pursing her lips at the amount of cleavage Tae was shopping. "I'm surprised you beat us here. Our hotel is so much closer." // Alan was in the process of checking in with the hostess, and Cam released Sadie so the little girl could run over and jump up into Noah's lap all excited.-
Covet: Tae looked at Noah, "You alright? You look anxious." She said to him, then looked over to his family as they came in. "We were finished getting ready early, but we haven't been here that long." She said politely with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah winced when Sadie jumped into his lap because she might be small, but his dick is sensitive. Giving her a bounce on his lap, he scooped her up and stood to his feet. "Yeah, we're fine. Our table should we ready. We can sit." He said as he set her on her feet. // "Oh, alright. Well then let's sit." Cynthia said through a forced smile, turning to follow the hostess down through the diners toward their table. // Alan shot Tae's outfit another look before following behind everyone else. // Cam walked quickly up by Noah, elbowing him in the side. "You see dad's face?" He asked with a grin.-
Covet: Tae walked down the stairs and followed along with the family. She looked over at Cam and Noah, furrowing her brow, "What are you to ralking about?"
Alexithymiaa: "How could I not?" He answered Cam in a hushed voice as they stepped up to their table. Noah glanced at Tae, trying to brush off her question with a shake of his head. "Don't worry about it." Dropping into his chair, he took his menu from the hostess, flipping it open to scan. // Cynthia went about getting Sadie set up in her booster seat, pushing her in between herself and Noah. // Alan sat across the table, accepting his menu and beginning to scan it as he spoke. "Have you been here before?"-
Covet: "I've been a couple of times. Their fish dishes are amazing as is pasta, it's made from scratch." She said to them, taking a seat as she looked at the menu herself.
Alexithymiaa: "I've been here like once." He said, looking up to see his father's unapproving face. He quickly looked back down at his menu. "Decent italian food overall." // Alan closed his menu, setting it down in front of him. "I can't turn down homemade pasta. That was a pretty easy decision." He paused to look at Tae, trying to be nice. "Do you have work later tonight?"-
Covet: "No, I've got the rest of the weekend off, actually. For the wedding celebrations." She said with a smile. "You can't go wrong with it, I promise."
Alexithymiaa: -Noah swallowed hard because he knew his dad was more making a comment on her choice of outfit, trying to change the subject. "So when does Liv get in?" // "Well that's nice." Cynthia said with a smile, helping Sadie hold her glass of water so she didnt spill it everywhere. "She'll be in tomorrow night. She gets out of work at six and her flight is immediately after."-
Covet: "I can't wait to see her. We had such a good time last time she visited." Tae said leaving at that because they didn't need to know the details.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah.... so much fun." He said with a roll of his eyes before setting his menu down. "At least the wedding should be fun." // "Oh, I'm glad you had fun. It's always nice to hear that they're all getting along. It doesn't usually happen all four at the same time, but I can accept two at a time." Cynthia said with a laugh. // Cam scoffed, chiming in. "I think that's the most you ever get as long as we're not ganging up on you."-
Covet: Tae smiled, "I can't imagine what it'd be like to have that many siblings, just me and my brother was enough for my parents."
Alexithymiaa: "Chaos. A circus. A zoo..." Noah started, looking at the waitress when she walked up. "Can I just get the chicken parm and a coke, please?" He asked her politely, handing his menu to her. // Cynthia scowled at Cameron even though it was true. "It wasn't so bad once we got the hang of it. And by the time we adopted Sadie, they were all teenagers already. I'll have the shrimp scampi and a club soda." // "I'll have the spaghetti bolognese and a coke as well." Alan said as he passed the menu to her. // Cam scanned his menu again before adding. "A root beer and T-bone, medium."-
Covet: Tae looked at the menu, "I'll get the seabass and fettucinni with scallops, can I get the steamed veggies for my side. And then just water with lemon to drink." She said sliding her menu away from her. "And Sadie seems just as sweet as can be."
Alexithymiaa: "That sounds really good." He said in response to Tae's dinner order, waiting for the waitress to leave before he spoke. "Yeahhhh, she's okay." // Cynthia exchanged glances with Alan at Noah's dinner order because he wasn't keeping kosher like he'd been brought up. "Yes... well she's about as sweet as any four year old can be. When she wants to be." // Alan frowned, taking a deep breath. "Chicken and cheese, Noah?" // Cam looked down at his place setting, not wanting to get into this in the middle of the restaurant. He knew better.-
Covet: Tae glanced over at Noah, then at his parents, knowing the issue at hand. "I didn't know you were all strict Kosher followers." She said trying to keep the mood light.
Alexithymiaa: -He rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair. "About some things. But I don't really care. I dont know what the big deal is. It's a stupid rule." // "Noah David." Cynthia said between her teeth in that sort of hushed angry tone mothers do so well. // Alan smirked sort of sarcastically, picking up his napkin and laying it over his lap. "It's good to know you think our entire lives and yours up until this point, are stupid."-
Covet: "I'm sure that's not quite what he thinks. Just maybe the food part, because he's male." She said with a light smile, trying to laugh off the tensions.
Alexithymiaa: "Well yeah, the food part. It's all dead already. It's not disrespectful or unsanitary or any of that other crap. Why can't we just eat what we want to eat?" // Cynthia's eyes went wide, her glance snapping to Alan. // Alan went pretty stony, shrugging his shoulders. "So eat what you want to eat. No ones stopping you. I'm sorry our faith and way of life have gotten in the way of yours."-
Covet: "To be fair...My brother thinks that the reason we couldn't eat those foods back then is because we didn't have the strict food guidelines and proper cooking methods back then, so eating things like raw pork and shellfish was dangerous." She said, then glanced at Alan, "You say that like he doesn't still honor at least part of the faith..." She furrowed her brow a little.
Alexithymiaa: "Tae... it's fine. Don't." He spoke, knowing her justification wouldn't go over so well. // "I think I've heard enough." Alan said as he folded his hands on the table in front of him, settling into silence. // Cam moved his hand to his face to cover his mouth, clearing his throat awkwardly.-
Covet: Tae looked at Noah, then everyone else, looking down at her lap. "Oh, okay." She said solemnly.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah looked up as their food was brought over to the table, all of their party just sitting awkwardly in silence. Without hesitating, he reached for his fork and his knife, beginning to cut into his chicken parm with gusto. // Cynthia leaned over to help get Sadie set with her mac and cheese, making sure she was using a fork since she tended to like using her hands better. And everyone else just ate in awkward silence. AWKWARD.-
Covet: Tae started to dig into her fish eatin silently as she looked down, "Soo.. are you guys going to be able to still have your rematch of your hockey game?" She asked Noah and Cam.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know." He said to her in a quiet voice, keeping his eyes down on his dish as he ate and enjoyed his non-kosher meal. // Cam looked up, giving a shrug. "I can't see why we won't have time after you get out of class tomorrow. It's not like I have anything better to do."-
Covet: "Good, because I expect to see Noah keeping his lead. Mostly because he gets more practice." She said with a soft smile, takeng a bite of her pasta, sucking the noodles up, causing a drop of the white sauce to land on her clevage.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah's eyes dropped to her cleavage as he watched her, a little distracted with boobs to really process what she'd said. "What? Oh. Yeah. Practice." // Cam was sitting across the table and therefore wasnt actually able to see the sauce on her chest. "Yeah we'll see. Now i'm more prepared for the new skills. I'm still bigger."-
Covet: Tae watched his gaze drop but didn't think anything of it, just thought that he was looking at her boobs. "I'm going to go hit up the restroom really quick, if you'll all excuse me." She said standing up so that she coudl go to the rest room, and escape the general awkwardness.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah watched her got up, wishing he could excuse himself with her, but he knew if he did that at this point in their awkward dinner that the shit would really hit the fan so he just stayed seated. Youcould cut the tension with a knife as he just tried to finish his dinner without dying.-
